That trainer could not get Mila to walk nicely on a leash or perform commands outside my apartment. I was SUPER hesitant on starting "balanced" training. Even before I committed to doing training sessions with Susie, she spent the time explaining her methods and how she teaches dogs. From the get go, before we even started training, Susie took the time to explain to me in detail what she was doing, why she was doing it, and how to respond to Mila's behavior. After 3 sessions with Susie, the dog that used to ignore me on walks and pay zero mind to me is now listening to my commands on walks and checking in on me when I don't ask for it. The three sessions with Susie have been night and day with Mila's behavior. Susie has been so patient with mine and Mila's learning journey. One was that he refused to jump into our SUV, he had to be picked up and put in. The first time that Wisney came, he said that he can have him jumping into the car by himself in 15 minutes! Bella usually doesn't like other dogs but they got her playing with other Shepherds, which we were extremely happy to hear. The thing about when we picked her up, she was really happy, not just to see us, it was almost like she didn't want to leave her new friends! She got a bath as well and we noticed the beautiful job they did with the grooming. Everything about Barkingham was amazing and I would never think of bringing my dog anywhere else. I was so worried that I took her to my vet and, while her eyes had no cuts, the vet doctor said that eye was irritated. They did not take good care of my dog. I called the owner, and he denied that she was not well taken care of and I mentioned her eyes. I will never take my dog to them again. There is not excuse for this kind of neglect.
