    ribeye side

Such amazing food at such a great price. If you've ever been to Sup Noodle or Vox, it's similar menu choices, flavors, and portion. Ordered the beef rib pho, which I didn't even realize was unlimited noodle refills! We definitely took advantage of that. Ribs were pretty big and had a good amount of meat on them. We also got a side order of the ribeye, which was also a great price for the portion. Not tough at all and that green sauce that comes with it is sublime, could literally drink that by itself. Will definitely be back here when I'm in the area again! Seems like a popular spot already, but try Omeli if you have the chance!

I was looking to go shopping at Sam's Club after lunch, so I was looking around the area for lunch. Omeli Kitchen popped up in the search. The weather was cloudy and cold so Pho sounds pretty good for comfort food. We came around the time they opened and were seated right away. My daughter had her heart set on garlic noodles and I wanted to try their pho. They advertised unlimited Free noodles until full. Overall, the portions were very good. We had leftovers. I asked for a free noodle and packed up to go. Service was awesome and very attentive! Definitely will come back to try more dishes.

I love the cozy as well as the liveliness when entering the restaurant. Me and my friend were seated right away upon the arrival and this place was pretty packed. Overall, the surface was very efficient and for it to be a Vietnamese concentrated staff I would say they exceeded excellence on their customer service. I don't say that lightly. Me and my friend each ordered one dish. My friend ordered the lomo saltado and I ordered the filet mignon macaroni dish. Keep in mind this is supposed to be a Vietnamese and Peruvian fusion restaurant so not everything will be Vietnamese approach. Lomo Saltado - 4/5 my friend said that it was more on the sauce that came with it was more on the sweeter side instead of the savory side, but overall it was enjoyable, and the beef was buttery. The macaroni filet mignon - 5/5 I personally really enjoyed it and just to be transparent. I'm not a salty tooth so for me it was perfect. Some people may want salts and they do have soy sauce type of dipping on the side. I barely touched it. The beef was perfectly tender and buttery. I also love the mushroom that came with it.

WOW! Amazing Viet food! From the outside, the restaurant is quite unassuming; essentially, a "hole-in-the-wall." Upon entering, there is definitely a "home-y" vibe with lots of plants lining the walls and warm lighting. You can really tell that the owners put a lot of thought into the ambience of the place. We were seated and served relatively quickly. I got the Lomo Saltado (recommended as the best seller by the waiter) while my friend got the garlic noodles with Salmon. We both thoroughly enjoyed our dishes. In particular, I thought the Lomo Saltado was seasoned perfectly with adequate portion size to pair with the rice. I will definitely be back to try the rest of the dishes on the menu. Highly recommend for those in the area looking to get some great Viet food!

***** Service - Alex and team took great care of us! **** Vibe - Hustle and bustle. Packed solid and for good reason. ***** Food - Unique rich flavors. Should be Michelin Bib Gourmand ***** Value - Huge bang for the buck. Awesome islander portions. I stumbled upon this charming little restaurant tucked away in the quiet corner of an ordinary shopping strip, and it completely blew me away. You wouldn't expect much from the modest storefront, but inside, they serve an absolutely brilliant menu of Peruvian-Vietnamese fusion that you simply have to taste to believe. The owners keep the dining room ambiance completely no-frills. They clearly focus all their energy and budget on the food rather than fancy decor. However, they definitely did not skimp on the audio setup. A killer music playlist bumps through a heavy-hitting sound system, giving the whole place a surprisingly energetic, fun vibe. From the moment we walked in, the front-of-house staff delivered fantastic customer service. They treated us like old friends and happily walked us through their unique menu options. When the kitchen started bringing out our order, my jaw dropped. They dish out massive, generous portions that basically guarantee you will take home heavy takeout boxes. Every single bite packs an intense punch of umami, and the chefs lean heavily into bold, garlicky flavor profiles that completely hit the spot. Three standout dishes truly stole the show for us. First, the Lobster Garlic Noodles feature huge chunks of perfectly cooked, sweet lobster tossed in an insanely rich sauce. Next, their Special Pho takes the comforting classic soup to a whole new level with a deeply simmered broth and ultra-tender cuts of meat. Finally, the Lomo Saltado flawlessly marries traditional Peruvian beef stir-fry techniques with distinctly Vietnamese savory notes. If I can give you one top tip before you visit: always tell your server to substitute your standard side of white rice with a massive pile of their garlic noodles. That simple little menu hack transforms a great meal into an unforgettable feast. I seriously cannot wait to go back.

Came on a Sunday afternoon around 4pm and was seated quickly. It's a cute corner restaurant, with wood elf vibes - think lots of wood panels and fake plant/vines. service was fast. Ordered the bbq pork spring rolls, pho - short rib, and lomo saltado ($54 with tax). The spring rolls were good but nothing amazing. I really enjoyed the pho, which had two big pieces of short ribs. My fiancé loved his lomo saltado, the steak was super tender and the crinkle fries were crispy! He thought the aji sauce was okay - the proportions were slightly off but still good. I think too mayonnaise-y/thick/creamy compared to the ones from actual Peruvian restaurants. Definitely would come again, I want to try the ox tail fried rice and some of the other dishes.

I placed my order online of a Lomo Saltado in advance to have it ready 30 mins later, but I received a notification 5 mins after I placed it that it will be almost ready? I was confused but I also did not want it to be ready that early or else my food will get cold! I had to call in to clarify and they were able to accommodate for a later time. Anyways, there is plenty of parking. Restaurant was a lot smaller than I thought, but it was pretty packed even at 5:30pm on a Friday night, so I assume it probably would be really busy during prime time. I walked in and asked about my online order, which then they told me that "they're still making it" lol.... so honestly the whole placing order ahead of time on their website is kinda wack. Luckily it didn't take tooo long for my order to be ready. There's not seating outside or anything, so I went across the plaza to find a spot to sit down and eat (bc I didn't want to dine alone haha). First bites, the overall flavors of the Lomo Saltado are very nice! The meat was very soft and tender, also very chewy. The fries were well seasoned. The Peruvian Green Sauce was also pretty nice with it, but not really needed since everything in the plate was already so flavorful. Portion size is kinda small for a Lomo Saltado plate, but it definitely filled me up. Overall, it's a nice plate! $20 is a little steep for the portion size and everything, but it's a pretty solid dish. It's something if you'd want to splurge.

We stopped in for dinner the other evening. There is a lot of available parking in the shopping center they are located in. The restaurant itself is small but charming and fills up fast. We had a kumquat lemon tea and a lychee peach ice tea. Both were refreshing and delicious. Then we had the Hawaiian chicken fried rice. Some of the best fried rice ever. The chicken was moist and tender and I loved the chunks of pineapple. Next up was the salmon garlic noodles. The noodles were great but that salmon was perfectly grilled. We also got an order of grilled tiger prawn vermicelli noodles. The prawns were large and buttery. The portion size was large and quite filling. And last but not least, the shaken beef rice bowl. Another large portion dish. The beef and vegetables were so flavorful and delicious. Solid dishes all around with friendly service will make this your new place in the OC!

We were in the area and decided to have a quick dinner before we head home and we stumbled upon this eatery. The place was packed when we were there, we had to wait to be seated and were seated promptly after the table became available. Nice ambiance, cutely decorated and pretty clean. We were served by our friendly waitress named Grace. Ordered our food and we were all delighted by the flavor. The steak was cooked to perfection and the dipping sauce was yummy. The popcorn chicken was alright but it was the only thing our son wanted to eat. Will definitely be back for more of these yum.

Met with friends for an early dinner. They picked OMELI Kitchen and it was described to me as Vietnamese Peruvian fusion. No I didn't know what to think, as I have heard of Japanese Peruvian fusion before, but that makes more sense, since Peru has one of the highest population of Japanese, outside of Japan. Regardless I was excited to try this fusion. In the end, I picked Cajun tiger prawns and garlic noodles. The majority of the dishes, seemed to lean towards the Vietnamese side and I was ok with that too. I enjoyed my dish, but it was a bit salty for some reason and I don't know what was Cajun about it, and how that is fusion with Peru. Overall, I enjoyed it, but would lean towards trying something else the next time. The taro Vietnamese ice coffee was ok as well. Not strong in any direction though. The service was prompt and the staff were great. So it made for a pleasant dining experience. The ambiance was cozy, but a. Little loud. I probably wouldn't be able to bring my parents who have hearing issues. I would definitely go back again, as everyone else enjoyed their selections. So would definitely like to try their Saltado the next time. Enjoy...

    Pho Supreme

Came for dinner on a Friday night - smaller restaurant and waited about 30 minutes for a table. Luckily parking lot is big. Ordered the following items: - Popcorn chicken ($9.99) - Pho beef belly ($14.95) - Pho supreme ($18.95) Really enjoyed the popcorn chicken, portion was good! I would recommend the supreme - the meat on the short rib was super tender! Similar to some other pho spots, they give you unlimited pho noodles when you dine in. I know this is strange, but the broth in the beef belly pho and the supreme pho tasted different. The beef belly pho didn't have a strong pho taste, was lighter, and not as good. However, supreme had more flavor and definitely better. My bf agreed as well. Overall, it's a decent spot and the customer service was good.

Came across this Vietnamese Peruvian fusion which had a very similar menu to another popular restaurant in OC, so I was curious to how this compares. I got the Lomo Saltado, Grilled chicken garlic noodles, and the Combination pho. The rice in the Lomo saltado was disappointing as it was very soggy. The meat was nice and tender, and the sauce didn't have much flavor. The rice being soggy definitely ruined the overall dish itself. The garlic noodles were good, but not too strong of a garlic flavor. I would say it's a good standard garlic noodles dish, but didn't stand out. Lastly the pho meat was good, but again, noodles were not good. The initial noodle it came with was too starchy and the refill batch were undercooked. Overall the carbs (rice and noodles) that came with the dish did not complement the proteins which is so important as they are a staple! Service was good with a good restaurant ambiance. Overall, I'd probably stick with the other more popular Vietnamese Peruvian restaurant here in the OC.

    Cucumber Salad
    May C.

Started off with their cucumber salad, which was perfect for this hot weather -- super refreshing and a nice light start before the main dishes came out. Then we got the oxtail fried rice and their short rib pho, and both were solid. The fried rice had great flavor and the oxtail made it extra rich and satisfying. The short rib pho was comforting and hearty -- definitely one of those bowls you just keep going back to. For drinks we tried the Ocean Pacific (which honestly tasted like candy... and I mean that in the best way possible because I love sweet drinks) and their strawberry lemonade, which was super refreshing. Service was good and the place was packed -- like everyone and their mama was out today. But honestly that's always a good sign when a spot is busy like that. Overall, I'd definitely recommend checking this place out. Good food, refreshing drinks, and a lively vibe. Would visit again for sure

There's also a 3% surcharge to your subtotal for using a card. They cook your food to order here, and I could smell the fried rice getting prepared on the stove. The fried rice is strong in flavor but not too salty. It's similar to what you might get from a teppanyaki restaurant. The chicken was also good, but I felt that the rice had much more flavor. The service was okay--quick to answer questions and getting our food out to us in a relatively timely manner. What was nice too is Sabor didn't go the route of charging for each aji verde sauce, which I liked. When you're used to going through half-a-bottle with every polla a la brasa meal, it's very important that that wonderful concoction is ready to go when you're ready for another bite of chicken, fries, or sometimes by itself. The space is kind of limited and I really wish it had more diners coming through. But as it was it had an okay vibe to it, like you're eating at your local spot that the tourists and gawkers haven't caught up with. I think it's a prime candidate for just bringing a book to allow time for your food to digest after. I think this spot will be a new addition to the local eat rotation, especially after the Fullerton Central Library meet-ups.

Walking in, we were instantly greeted and asked how many were in our party. We were instantly seated but there were quite a few occupied big tables around us. I couldn't catch our waitress's name but she was so attentive and nice to us! She would come ask if we needed refills, napkins, extra utensils, or extra bread and butter. After you order, you get complimentary bread and butter! They also have this green spicy sauce that you can dip your bread in. Between the 8 of us, we ordered 1 soup, 1 appetizer, and 4 main dishes! Everything came out so fast and was so tasty! You can even see the chefs preparing the food through the transparent glass. Food: Lomo Saltado (9/10): I absolutely loved this dish! The only thing I will say is that it was on a little salty for me but that's not something a little water couldn't help with. The beef was cooked so nicely, it was tender and the portioned nicely so it could be chewed with each bite. The grilled onions were for sure my favorite part. The onions soaked in all the sauce but were still crunchy which adds a nice texture to the soggy french fries. The french fries also soaked in all the sauce! There's also a side of rice to help make you more full! Tallarines Salteo de Carne (9/10): This dish was identical to the lomo saltado but instead of french fries, it was noodles! I equally loved this dish since they used the same sauce but with noodles instead! I had no complaints except it was on the saltier side but didn't mind it at all. Everything's the same as my lomo saltado review, perfectly cooked meat and onions! Jalea de Mariscos (9/10): This was our appetizer! It comes with a few fried items (fish fillet, shrimp, and squid). I think there are also Yukon potatoes but I could be mistaking it for another form of potato. The squids are fried in bite sized and they're so easy to eat! It also comes with an onion salsa that's so delicious! The salsa is sour so definitely be careful when dunking your food in there. I believe that this one comes in a half or full size!

Cut up into small piece, it was good tasting just the portion was WEEK at best, a few full pieces of chicken was what i expected from the photos on the site. I also ordered Arroz Chaufa de Pollo, it was good, its hard to mess up fried rice. In addition i ordered Lomo Saltado, it was ok, not as flavorful as i remember it being. I been eating here for over a decade. It changed names a while back if i remember correctly Overall i was disappointed for $60 for the 3 plates. I checked online for the amount it would be $59.27 for the 3 plates, when i tried to call in the order i was quoted 64, i asked why the difference as it should have been cheeper as i had an addition Convenience Fee: $2.49. So i ordered it online. I wanted to pay cash but ened up getting cash back from the CC purchase. The waitress who gave me my order did it with a big smile, That was the best part of the meal.

Peruvian food is one of my top 10 favorite cuisines, and I've tried most items on Ají Limón's menu…read morewhen I was in Peru. I find the food here to be decent to satisfy my random Peruvian food cravings and not wildly far off from the food I had in Peru. I had gotten takeout here a few times but finally dined in for a weekday lunch recently. Didn't get the server's name, but service was amazing. We did stand by the entrance for a few minutes before anyone greeted us and seated us, but that could be due to the restaurant layout that's somewhat of an upside down L shape, and most people were sitting tucked inside away from the entrance. I've got ceviche mixto and recently ceviche mariscos. Both are satisfying. The difference is the mixto contains white fish and all the other seafood (shrimp, octopus, squid, mussels) while the ceviche mariscos only contains the non-fish seafood. They are not cheap, but the portion is generous and it is quite a lot of seafood. We got medium spicy for dine in, which was the right call. I think I had gotten spicy in the past, and while I love spicy food and have good tolerance, it was still spicy to me and distracted a bit from enjoying the seafood. The ceviche comes with sweet potato, yucca, boiled corn, and cancha (Peruvian corn nuts). And no meal is complete without a chicha morada. I also enjoy anything with platano frito. If I recall correctly, the tallarín verde and lúcuma ice cream were pretty good, too. The pionono is okay; I'm not a huge fan of sponge cake, and the dulce de leche is very sweet. I prefer Porto's tres leches cake, which I know isn't Peruvian, but is perfect for my taste.

The steak and egg was juicy and comforting, and the Pescado a lo Macho came loaded with seafood goodness. If you love soup, the Parihuela seafood soup is rich, hearty, and perfect for seafood lovers. And don't skip the maracuyá passion fruit juice... seriously so refreshing. For dessert, the picarones were warm, sweet, and dangerously addictive. Plus the chocolate cake? Gone in seconds The portions are HUGE, so come hungry or be ready for leftovers. The vibe is cozy with fun Latin music playing, and the staff was super sweet even when it got busy. Aji Limon definitely gave me happy food coma energy

We ordered the cerviche (Mixto Cebiche), soup (Chupa De Camarones), Arroz con Pollo, and Tallarín Verde w/ beef steak to share for two people. The mixed cerviche comes with big chunks of fresh halibut, and plenty of shrimp and octopus. The sour and tangy flavor is perfectly balanced the glazed sweet potato and Peruvian corn and corn nuts. Definitely a must-try if you like cerviche! The soup (Chupe De Camarones) has a thick and creamy (shrimp chowder) texture, with plenty of peas/carrots pieces, fried fish, and a scrambled egg on top. Very hearty and just perfectly seasoned. We ordered the regular size and the portion is plenty enough even for two people to share. The specialty courses Arroz con pollo (rice cooked with cilantro sauce with chicken) and the Tallarín Verde (pesto spaghetti/parmesan cheese with breaded beef steak) are just as delicious as all the other dishes. The pesto spaghetti is al dente, and the pesto flavor is just devine! If you like cilantro, you cannot go wrong with the Arroz con pollo. Both of these dishes come in big portions, plenty to share for two people. Good service as our waitress was very attentive. Great value considering the cost. Good atmosphere, and plenty indoor seating. Parking in front of the establishment can be crowded, but there are also plenty of parking spaces in the surrounding area. If you are craving for Peruvian food, this is the place to be! Also since this is family-owned, please come and support your local small businesses.
