We needed to send a small box last minute from midtown Manhattan to New Hyde Park in Long Island. We went through all the top options on Yelp. Most companies required us to email or call in the information, then either wait on the line, a call back, or an email with an estimate of delivery, cost, etc. However "On Same Day Delivery" was different from the start. I clicked on their website and was met with a friendly and easy to use website, where I was able to enter in all the delivery information, and received all the details of their service on the spot; e.g. estimated time of package pick up, cost, estimated time of package drop off, fees, taxes, etc. Many of the other websites were charging upwards of $150, an estimated drop off time of later in the afternoon/early evening, higher fees, or etc. However On Same Day Delivery was able to pick up the package within an hour of my placing the order online, and delivered the item only a few minutes past their estimated time of delivery -- which was a few hours earlier than any of the time estimates given by the other companies. Let alone the fact that they charged less than what the other companies estimated. Also to note: The website keeps you updated along the way. To be able to input all the information online, have detailed reports/updates, with accurate delivery times, and competitive rates? I don't see myself using any other courier service anymore. read more

These guys were extremely responsive and organized -- they answered emails very quickly, and I didn't have to think about any details on their side of things. Their driver figured out where to pick it up with minimum fuss and delivered ahead of schedule. I also appreciated getting photos via email to confirm that they got the right item. While the process was somewhat involved, considering a requirement to provide notarized authorization for the item to be signed-off, the staff I communicated with were willing to consider this need, along with other emerging requirements (such as taking note of FedEx processing variables.) Though I haven't previously communicated with anyone from a courier company before, I believe the offered rate was reasonable, and noted an absence of pressure to opt for additional, related services connected to a somewhat higher rate. I called on a Saturday afternoon, for pick up of my 96 year old mom's broken eyeglass at her assisted living facility, to bring to her optician in midtown which was closing at 3. 15 minutes late to pickup (past the end of the one hour pickup window they gave) and then even though I'd specifically asked that the document be dropped in the actual office of the embassy and not downstairs with the building security they just left it with building security. I'm now waiting, a bit anxiously, to hear back from the embassy about whether or not they ever ended up receiving the document.
