We needed a fence put up on our property as soon as possible. It needed to be up quickly and within our budget. We called John from On the Line Fencing for a quote. We made an appointment for him to come over. He was on time, friendly and very eager to find out exactly what we wanted and where we wanted the fence. We agreed on the quote and a fence with 3 gates. He told me that his crew could have the fence completed in maybe 3 to 5 days. It was done in 2! When his crew got there the first day they were all ready to work and knew exactly what to do. He and his crew are extremely hard working men that make hard work look easy. They have fun while they work. They are not goofing around, they for some reason don't think of busting through blue rock as hard work. The heat didn't slow them down either, I don't think nothing bothers these guys. All the holes were dug and the posts were up the first day. all the fence and gates were up the second day. Unbelievable. At the end of it all, we had paid exactly what was quoted. ...exactly. To save you the trouble of researching - John and On The Line Fencing have been known to all types of fences without any complaints. There are many references Island wide. He has done fences all over the Big Island ...from Kona to Hilo. Living at South Pouint for 35 years now, I have found at times difficult to find local services such as On the Line Fencing. Grateful they travel out to Ka'u. I sent John a pic 1st for 200 feet of new 6ft Chain Link Fence. He sent back a proposal within the day. We accepted. Said they'd show up at 8am on that next Tuesday. We sent the deposit. they showed up at 10min to 8 am, prompt, clean, organized, ready to go. They jumped right into the 1st 200 ft., post holes dug, posts set in concrete. 2nd day here at 10 to 8 am. started stretching fence out, top rails set, Done on 2nd day. We had an exisiting 300 ft of 16 year old Cedar Fence left that the posts were rotted. We asked them to remove and replace with Chain Link. They started 10 days later and finished 2 days ahead of bid.. WOW!! Best fencing Family / Crew on the Island. They will be doing the back half acre as well once we get it all prepped for them. This business deserves 5+ stars. They were the only fencing business that returned my call (called three from the yellow pages) and OTLF returned my call on a holiday! Immediate response to my request for on site inspection and proposal. Bid was competitive and work began as soon as material was available. Job completed in two days (~450 feet of chain link pig fencing). Everyone in this company, owner and staff/installation crew are friendly and competent.
