DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY. I had Dan Murphy come for an estimate. I called him that afternoon to…read moretell him we wanted to go with his company. He told me he'd call me that evening or next morning to schedule. When he hadn't called by the next afternoon, against my better judgment, I called him. He was "out by the pool" - I guess too busy to return my call. We set a date for the work to be done and even discussed a starting time of 8:30 - 9:00 a.m. At 9:15 on the date of painting, after our preparation of removing pictures, breakables, etc. and no painters showing up, I called Dan. He was clueless, didn't "think" he had me on the schedule, didn't remember us scheduling. I reminded him of the exact events. He says "I'll call you back in 2 minutes". Calls me back and says he has no crew available til tomorrow. AT THIS POINT I WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS BUSINESS, AND SAY NO THANKS. I WOULD SUGGEST NO ONE ELSE DOES EITHER. The painters may do good work, I don't know. But Dan Murphy is NO Business man.

Asked for a leak repair, was quoted for ~$1200 for everything including drywall repairs. I asked…read morehim to repair leaks and leave all drywall for me to try to save money. He proceeded to charge ~$2300 for leak repairs, excluding drywall, which included replacing ~1.5 ft PVC fittings and pretty minimal copper fixes (which he had to bring in another plumber to fix). When I asked for itemized receipt I was given one that didn't include all payments so he had to spend a half an hour making a new receipt fudging numbers to make up the full cost of what he charged me. Actual itemized receipt is incredibly vague and now home warranty company is refusing to pay because what he charged is simply unreasonable. I recommend going with a more experienced contractor. If I had the time I could have fixed what they did for less than $300.
