So bar number,...2?, 3? actually no, bar number 5 of the Newquay night out.
Wetherspoons (to charge my phone), nameless bar next door (older crowd, with OAP live band on later), some big and boring nameless pub, Belushi's (with the gimp stag), On The Rocks. So it is officially bar number 5. This is starting to sound like a little pub crawl. And I'm a little tipsy. Whoops.
I would actually kind of visit On The Rocks again. Its set back off the main strip, so the stags charge right past, meaning it is mostly locals. There was a live covers band playing Nirvana and the like so I got to pretend I was a 15 year old rock kid again. The look of the bar is pretty run of the mill alternative place, nothing fancy, lots of wood so the spillage from moshing drunks is easily dealt with.
There was a bar that served me drinks and there was a toilet so I didn't wet myself, so all the basic things you need from a place.
My friend and I hung out with some local lads, had a chat and some drinks. Fun times. Worthy of 3 stars I reckon.
P.S. There are no women out in Newquay at night. Seriously none. Anywhere. Girlies, if you come here prepared to be in the minority big time. And be prepared to either hang out with the boys, or just bring yourself a big old stick to bash them away with. All I have to say is its a sausage fest down there, and if you don't like meat then you're in trouble read more
