This past and final occasion, the service was less than stellar. Had an issue with the door sensors and the garage door was not closing. Had to open and close manually. Called for service and the technicians who were both friendly and nice couldn't find anything wrong. They suggested I speak to the office as the Service Call fee was $125 and maybe they could do something about it. From my recollection, the fee was about $60 the last time I had used them so I didn't think to ask or imagine it would double what I had paid in the past. The issue I had was with the person on the other end of the phone when I called to ask about reducing the fee and about ordering a new remote. He was less than friendly and lacked customer service skills. I got to meet him him in person today when I went to pay the service fee invoice and pick up and pay for the new remote. His lack of helpfulness and patience and gruff manner was on full display and frustrating. Garage doors, openers, remotes are not something one purchases every day so I think I can be forgiven for not knowing the lingo or how they do things. I literally at one point said, "I'm just asking for your help," when I had asked about programming the remote and was told the instructions are in the box. Clearly stating service call charges when taking the appointment would have been appreciated, as well accepted methods of payment so surprises are avoided.
