Worst dining experience I've had in Vegas. Korean food is about hospitality and service, but your first step in you feel so unwelcomed. No Korean workers, so that's a red flag already. Empty tables with dirty dishes all around us. We asked to sit by the window. They said no since we needed a party of 6 and we had 3. Restaurant was only 30% full. Wth? Asked for hot water and they said they only had tea. They couldn't make hot water, and couldn't tell us if the tea had caffeine or not. Food- we ordered the king's feast. The ondam hansang was a great dining experience! So many side dishes to compliment the rice, soup and main proteins. The raw spicy marinated crab is so well priced here! It's a small portion with three pieces but the quality and freshness of the crab was muah! The squid was yummy as well. Loved the variety of side dishes and the soup felt so comforting and healthy. The only reason why I knocked off a star is because of the 40 minute wait for food. We arrived 15 minutes after opening on a Sunday and we didn't get our food until noon. Parties seated before us waited a while for food and so did parties seated after us. Service was not great or attentive. It was cool seeing the meal coming on a large moveable platform and slide the whole top of a table onto the table you're at. Super cool experience! We came on a Monday around 5pm and there was a small waitlist. We waited about a half hour to be seated. Service is quite slow. I'm not sure if it's just new opening struggles. We ordered 2 sets and added on bossam, soy sauce chicken, and bulgogi. It was super neat how everything came out and the food was good! If the speed of service could be fixed, I'd definitely be back! This spot used to be Daeho, but it's now a completely different concept--and not in a good way. The biggest surprise was the side dish policy. They charge $13.95 per person for banchan, which immediately changes the entire value perception. In Korean dining, side dishes, rice, and soup are typically complimentary, so once you factor that in, what initially looks "affordable" really isn't. Unfortunately, the food doesn't justify the added cost. Everything was just average--nothing stood out, and definitely not worth paying extra for items that are usually included. Even the rice and soup felt basic and unremarkable. The service made things worse. We were clearly told that rice was free, and it was brought to the table without any mention of a charge. At the end, it showed up on the bill. When we asked about it, the response was disorganized--they claimed they didn't know which server told us that. As a Korean, I knew exactly who we spoke to, but they insisted we still had to pay. It felt careless and unprofessional, especially since we didn't even need the rice in the first place. Overall, between the unexpected charges and the lackluster food, there's really no reason to return. Honestly, I'd rather see Daeho come back. read more

Overall, many meat items were too sweet to us Koreans. Maybe their target audience includes American people so they had to do that. We will be back to try other items. First Try and it was bit difficult to figure out how to order. But their server was very helpful and polite. He explained very clearly what and how to order. So we decided to order 2 Hansang, pork belly and kimchi stew. 20 side dishes (banchan) kelp soup and rice. It was more than enough and all the staff working there come and checking us if we like refilling the banchan, yes you can get multiple times these sides as much as you like. There were bit of smell issues I think there grease interceptor may need to be pumped. Yes it was bad sewer smell soon as you walk in the restaurant. But other than that, everything else was great!! Saturday evening was quite busy, probably didn't help that there was a BTS concert in town that night...Got on the waitlist, and went shopping at the nearby H-Mart. It's a good experience and the food were good. They have Hansang, King & Queen option, however, queen wasn't available until 3 daya after. I would recommend just get the Hansang option, all 3 would get you 20 side dishes, however, only Hansang will get you refill the side dish and K & Q doesn't. Tried Ondam for the first time last Saturday and it was just okay overall. We were seated quickly and our order was taken right away, which was great. However, once we started dining, it became really hard to find a server, even just to ask for the bill. We also tried the ~$13 per person option for the 20 side dishes, and honestly, it didn't feel worth the price. It's a fun idea and nice to try once, but for the cost, you could go to an AYCE KBBQ spot and leave much more satisfied. Also, since they slide the tabletop with all the dishes, I hope they consider the seating arrangement of guests more carefully. We had to move a set of plates around to make it work. It's not a big deal, but since that's part of their concept, it would make sense to plan seating accordingly. Good for a one-time visit, but not something I'd go out of my way for again. read more

It was my second time dining here today. When I visited on April 4th, right after the grand opening, the experience exceeded my expectations. Both times I ordered the Ondam Hansang, but the difference in quality was so drastic that it's hard to believe it was the same menu. I had a similar experience with the previous restaurant in this location, Daeho. In the beginning, their food was high quality--though pricier than other places--but over time the quality kept declining, and I eventually stopped going. If this restaurant can't maintain consistency even within the first two weeks of opening, I'm worried it may follow the same path. As a local, I genuinely hope they keep their standards high and stay in business for a long time. I'll try again soon to see whether today's experience was just an exception. read more

Price was great, everything was clean, all the ban chan tastes really good and the variety really exceeded my expectations. One of my favorite type of restaurants in Korean are baek ban restaurants and ondam reminds me of it and I was so happy we have something similar now in Vegas. though the food/ side dishes were good, the amount of meat was not enough for two orders of the king set. in addition we didn't like our experience with our server. initially didn't understand how the menu worked, i think i asked 3x and our server explained it and finally understood. there were 6 of us. he said we can order 2 king and one regular set for our party. when we were ready to order, he said for our party, we need to order 2 king and 4 regular sets so that our banchan can have unlimited refill. we then ordered as he suggested (he probably thought we'd ask for many refills). we only asked refills for 3 dishes: jeon, fishcake, and the one with fish. it was a reservation for 730pm but he told told us the latter two were already sold out. we then saw two groups get seated (big groups mind you) .. with these two side dishes on their table. i think once he realized that we barely had requested for refills, he tried to offer us dumplings. but we didn't really want it. in addition, when we asked the same server, for a list of things: water napkins soy sauce (necessary items to dine), he told us that he needs to check in with the other tables, then he can assist us with these requests. these other tables weren't even looking for assistance or calling a server. we were shocked with his response and very disappointed with the service. if it's just the food 5/5, but the experience with this server was so poor. the other associates were kind and we had hoped they helped us instead. read more
