Our roof began to leak in last week's rain... so (obviously) I called Artistic Roofing. When I told the receptionist what happened and I needed them to come see how much it would cost me, she informed me that they don't do estimates. "How then," I asked, "do I know if I can afford it?" "I don't know, sir," was her reply. While my mouth was hanging open, she thanked me for calling, wished me a good day and hung up. I was shocked. Especially after recommending them to all our customers for so long. I wondered how many other people got this treatment. So, I called S&H Roofing (out of Tucson) and they had the estimate done the next day and the roof finished four days later. Artistic Roofing lost out on an easy $5,000.

Note: estimates were very vague. The "office" needs a reality check. I thoroughly believe in supporting local businesses however, when one shows estimates that are.... Extremely expensive and questionable.... That's an issue. Example. Estimate to replace two ceiling fans. Replacement ONLY! I was given $750! Yes people that was the quote. I called two handymen "$50 per or $100 per; box stores between $150-200 per!" Do your due diligence and call around! Word of mouth is best. I sent back feedback to provide them insight to their outrageous pricing. Also of note. Who puts a "lien" statement in an estimate vs a warranty statement? Just found that curious as all get up.

When I heard about Landmark Metal Builders from a neighbor, I called, but expected to get similar service, frankly. I was thrilled & so pleasantly surprised when someone answered the phone & Brian called me quickly. Within days he was out to look at my roof. He alerted me to some water damage from a clogged downspout & his estimate included those necessary repair. Roof material and tar inside, falling through the oven hood, through the AC ducts, through the skylight. Dozens of nails scattered my backyard out in the open, after saying they "think they got them all". Came back to clean the next day. did not pick up any of the nails. Left tar in the driveway. Left wood scraps and roofing material scattered in my backyard. Were cussing and yelling the whole time. Will not ever use them again or recommend them to anyone.
