Dr. Jani has been providing "care" (not "treatment") for my geriatric father for quite sometime. Dad's always been a picky guy .. and when it comes to doctors, I'm worse. In my view, generally speaking, doctors have become little more than pill-pushers, completely dis-interested in "dialogue" with their patients. It's worse than aggravating as they're clearly showing they want no patient "participation" unless it's "doing" with their mouth(s) shut. Dr. Jani's interest in the well-being of my father has been well-rounded and long-term. In the past, she's performed in-depth medicine(s)-analysis to validate not just optimal dosages but conflicts as well. Early-on she had him log the times of day, any side-effects and other symptoms for a period of two weeks. She analyzed his information and was able to help him fine-tune his medications. I've never seen or heard of a doctor willing to do this. He's over 90 and they genuinely seem to appreciate having him check in for appointments and my phone conversations with their staff have me convinced they're happy to help in whatever way they can. Dr. Jani would be my doctor if she weren't 500 miles from where I live. As picky as I am about true, professional-grade care, she'd get my vote. Please give them a call if you're tired of what you're getting now. She's a keeper. read more

Even though I do like Doctor Jani and appreciate her work, I can't believe that she's allowing her care practice to be handled by a rude unprofessional front desk employee. My wife and I have been patients at this practice for the last 3 years and we usually try to be patient and understanding with the customer service representatives and front desk employees because we understand the load of pressure they can be under from both customers and employers. That being said, this front desk employee has always a bad attitude and treats patients like they are asking for charity or a hand out! We've witnessed her mistreatment but did not expect that our time will come soon because I barely interact with her when I come for my visits. Today I was denied care because I arrived literally 14 mins late to my appointment due to a traffic incident on Smoketown road and because I stood in my car to finish filling up the 11 pages patient registration (Apparently they are getting a new system and all the patients were asked to reregister instead of using the data from the old system). The front desk employee didn't even look at me but just said you are late and Dr. won't take you and you have to reschedule! And kept repeating that! She didn't even let me speak or explain anything even though in previous visits I had waited before over 20mins to be seen by the doctor or to have my blood exam. They even cancelled our appointment without notice recently when the doctor had a family emergency! We never complained or argued even though we took time off work. Later on, when my wife told that employee out of frustration: you just lost my husband as a patient. She responded "You can withdraw your records from this practice as well " what type of health care employee is she? I let you all figure that out! I highly recommend Dr. Jani and her staff. The office is clean, equipment is in good condition, everything is in order and neat. The nurse is very professional and gentle. The receptionist is kind, gentle and very easy to work with. The lab people very funny and made off well because I'm the type of person who does not enjoy being sick or going to the doctor!! If you are the type of person that needs hand holding and repeated treatments, or unnecessary ones... Don't go here. She will want to keep you off the medical system and help you get better read more

I was the first appointment of the day and the doctor was still 20 minutes late. Dr wasn't really listening to me and wasn't making eye contact. Kept cutting me off and was rude and dismissive. My daughter went there today for a school physical and they tried to charge us $80 for completing the form. An $80 Co Pay!!!!! I never ever heard of an $80 co pay anywhere!!!!!!! Especially not for completing a form. I told my daughter to get out of there and I immediately called Humana to file a complaint!!!!! Those who wrote good comments about this clinic looks like they are not trapped yet. I was her regular patient and going for a few years. Last time I went there for my blood pressure issue. Dr. Jani examined and ask me to observe for a few more weeks at home and come back for the next examination then she will prescribe medicine if needed. After a few days, I got a bill of $450.00 and $195.00, a total amount of $ 645.00. My insurance paid $ 396.74 and the rest of the amount I paid her. My concern is just to suggest observe at home and come after a few weeks cost $ 645.00. Can a doctor charge anything they want? There is no limitation who can charge how much. One yelper indicated that he/she was surprised by the low ratings - I'm absolutely astonished by the high ones. How did someone have a good experience with this doctor? I do have to admit that the front staff was ok, and even the person that initially sees you to take your vitals was very professional and nice. But the doctor - absolutely not. I don't know what it is about her, but she was not a good fit for me. When I discussed the issues that I was having, she blew them off (they're important to me, although they may seem small and insignificant to you). The actual appointment I made was pointless - she wanted me to get labs done (which her office conducts, which is a plus since you don't have to go off-site) and I scheduled those for my next appointment. But after I got home, I sat down and thought...what the hell did she do at that appointment? I could see if this was a wellness checkup like a child may get, but I went to her for a specific medical reason. And I didn't feel any better since she dismissed everything I addressed. So I called and cancelled all the appointments I had in the future. Low and behold, the day before one of my scheduled appointments, I received a text indicating that I had one scheduled. I called the office and cancelled - again. I received my EOB from my health insurance - she charged them $200. For taking vitals? Or was it for the discussion that I had where my issues were diminished? So long story short, I will not be returning here. And I would not recommend her to anyone. read more

IF YOU HAVE ANY SELF RESPECT FOR YOURSELF AND THINK YOUR TIME IS IMPORTANT DO NOT GO SEE THIS DOCTOR AS SHE DOESN'T HAVE ANY RESPECT FOR YOU OR YOUR TIME! I booked the appointment via ZocDoc which was for 3 weeks later. They had check in paperwork available on ZocDoc so you wouldn't have to fill anything out when you show up for your appointment. I get a call a few days later by one of the staff saying they needed a little bit more information (insurance..medical history...allergies...etc) I asked her were all the other documents good to go or were there any other docs I need to fill out, she replied "No, everything is in order"! Day of the appointment: I show up at 9:00 am for my appointment of 9:20 am. Greeted by the staff saying have a seat, asked for my ID and insurance card and handed me 10 pages to fill out repetitive information. I informed her I have already filled these out when I booked the appointment. She replied hmm some of these are different so just start on them while I look for the documents. (Do you not check before the patient shows up?) I still understand that I do not know how it works as I haven't been to the doctors office in while so I continue to fill out the pages. A page and a half into me filling them out, she stops me saying they already have it but still need some other information (insurance...medical history, allergies....etc) remember the phone call I mentioned earlier! So I fill out those documents while reminding her that these documents should be good as well. After filling them all out by 9:15 am. The staff member takes me back checks my weight and height and then takes me to the exam room, I look at the time its 9:20am, my appointment time, I'm like this is good! Now I forgot to mention from 9:00am to 9:20am, I was the only patient in the office so no one else other than the staff and the doctor. It is now 9:50 am and I still haven't seen the doctor although while sitting in the exam room for 30 minutes I did hear women laughing/talking including one of voice of the doctor because you can clearly differentiate her voice due to her accent. She finally shows up at 9:55 am saying hi! how can I help you? At this point I just give her second while not responding and just smiling, I guess I was waiting for her to say sorry for the wait or the delay, or something to acknowledge my wait but she doesn't so I tell her "unfortunately you can't help me anymore as it's been 35 minutes since I've been waiting in this room and my time is important to me." To which she replies "Ok bye" as I walked out the door. The staff member asked if I needed to reschedule thinking I had to rush out I replied No, and after explanation of my experience, she apologized for the doctors behavior and the experience which is when I left. Got in my car and started writing this review. I'm surprised by the low reviews for this healthcare provider. I took my Mom here for a PCP appointment because her regular PCP restricted their hours to only two days a week and wasn't available on short notice. Dr. Niki Jani seems to be the only doctor at this location, unlike other healthcare providers in the area that are grouped together. That can be a plus for most people since when you schedule an appointment, you are guaranteed to see the actual doctor and the same provider each time. The online appointment feature is very convenient and she does offer limited Saturday hours. The building is very conveniently located next to the Long & Foster Realtor office and is very clean and modern. Exam rooms are nicely sized. This provider seems to emphasize weight loss consultations, but she is an internal medicine doctor so you can use her as your PCP. Receptionists and nurses were very friendly. Wait times were average, about 10-15 minutes. The nurses and Dr. Jani were very thorough in asking questions and establishing a medical history. I thought Dr. Jani had an excellent bedside manner. Unlike the other review, I felt she did take the time to listen to us and discuss any concerns. So far the only con for this provider is that there is no on-site lab. This means you have to go to a different location (e.g. LabCorp) to get bloodwork done. They can do urine analysis on site, but not bloodwork. LabCorp does take both walk-ins and scheduled appointments, but it's just inconvenient to have to go to a different location and wait for service. ETA1: The actual doctor calls with test results, which is a big plus. Other providers that I have been to usually have a nurse call with results. Doctors are really busy so it's understandable if they delegate this out to nurses, but it's nice when you get to speak with the actual doctor. ETA2: Just got the bill for the service. I didn't like that they seem to only give a 2 week window from the date the statement is issued to the day payment is due. They didn't send it out until a week after the statement was printed so it was really only about a 1 week window for payment. The standard payment term that I've seen from other PCPs is 1 month (30 days) at least. They should reconsider the "grace period" payment length. It seems overly aggressive and sneaky to have a payment length that short since it makes it seem like the provider is trying to intentionally tack on late fees. read more

Very rude service. Waited on Dr. Jani for about 30 mins, finally opened the door to go find out what was taking so long and to my amazement she was on the computer. I asked her how long will it take for her to see me and she told me she was in the middle of something without even saying I am sorry I will be over shortly. After pressing her on how long it will take, she told me again she is in the middle of something and I can reschedule if I want. I walked out and informed her will never come back. After reading the various reviews, I decided to throw in my 2 cents. I have seen numerous Drs in the Woodbridge area. Some of the Drs were exceptional, but their front office staff was inadequate. Some Drs were O.K., but the front office was great. This is the FIRST office I've been to, where BOTH, are on point. I've referred numerous friends to Dr Jani, and they too are quite pleased. I've been Dr. Jani's patient for more than 4 years. I'm a healthy patient, no big issues. Yes, wait times for her, not in the waiting room have been 25-30 minutes as other reviewers have reported. I recently had an issue and I'm so disappointed by the cold treatment Dr Jani gave me over the phone and so did her receptionist. On my follow up tele medicine callI with her, a nurse called, don't know who she was, not her staff nurse who takes vital signs etc. she was very judgmental and made me feel uncomfortable sharing my symptoms. On my 3rd tele visit the following week, I requested to talk to Dr. Jani and she never asked me how I was feeling or if I was feeling better. She coldly asked me what she could do for me. I requested a test which I don't have yet after 2 weeks passed and three phone calls made to request to resend me the e-mail and a hard copy. I'm frustrated and disappointed. I have been going to another primary care Dr for five years and didn't feel as good as I do now since I have been coming to One Care Medical for only three months. Dr Jani is a real Dr. My previous Dr was just a hustler. Dr Jani has brought my blood pressure under control and is monitoring my Thyroid and High Cholesterol problem which my previous dr, didn't seem to care much about. I am very happy that I had called my insurance company and requested names of Doctors and was able to choose Dr Jani. She is smart, courteous, pleasant ,patient and Caring. She also has a wonderful staff who makes you feel like you are fine even before you see Dr Jani. read more

I really like One Care Medical. Dr. Jani is really nice gives me all my info from my bloodwork which they can now do in the same office. My wait time is usually 10-15mins which is why I left my old PCP they would have me waiting for at least 1 1/2 to 2 hours every visit. I'm not switching no time soon. :) read more

I highly NOT recommend Dr. Nika Jani for one's medical needs. I have been her patient for the past 2 years and to give a negative review now is a big deal. She was okay in the beginning. Office staff and receptionist are always nice I absolute have no complaints for them. It's all Nika Jani who lacks Patient Care. Let me start my actual review now, I had a follow up appointment on Saturday at 9:20am (office is open every other Saturday from 8 to 12). I arrive at the office at 9:15am get checked in by the receptionist. No questions asked, smooth sailing so far. there was another patient sitting there before me. The medical Assistant (Maybe a nurse) comes to the waiting room and calls him to come in. I wait.... it's 9:20am by now. She comes again and calls my name. I am thinking GREAT!!! it's on time I go in, She takes my vitals and seats me in an exam room by this time it's 9:25am and states, "Dr. Jani will be in shortly." I said Thank you to her and started browsing on my phone. All of a sudden the room goes dark and I stand up... I realized the sensor turned the lights off since there was no movement in the room. LOL! I look at the time and it's 9:40am. I patiently wait...I look at the clock again it's 9:45am I could hear people talking/walking outside the room. I step outside the exam room and see Dr. Jani in her office on her computer typing... She looks at me and says, " I'll be right there." (in a Rude tone) I reply her, My appointment was at 9:20am it's 9:50am right now I have to be somewhere. She replies "OKAY". I go back to the exam room and wait for another 5 minutes. it's 9:55am, NO sign on Nika Jani. I pick up my purse and walk out of the exam room, she is still sitting in her cube typing. She sees me walk out and doesn't say a WORD. I tell her receptionist why I am leaving ans walk out of the building...When I left, the waiting room was empty. Dr. was not with a patient; She was on her computer and it doesn't help that her cubical is see through. this clearly shows She has absolutely no care or respect for anyone's health or time. I left her office at 10:00am while my appointment was at 9:20am and it was a follow up where I just needed my prescription refilled. Literally. it takes 3 to 5 minutes for my actual appointment. I spend more time with the girl who takes my vitals... I do not recommend going to ONE CARE MEDICAL. read more

I have never been more disappointed with a doctor visit as I was when seeing Dr. Nika Jani! Don't get me wrong but the rest of the staff may seem nice enough but Dr. Nika Jani was rude and unethical in my opinion. The only reason I scheduled an appointment there was because I needed to establish a primary care physician and get a physical. Upon meeting Dr. Jani and talking for about 5 mins regarding my medical history and desire to get a physical and some lab work to test my blood levels she informed me that there would be no time to get a physical that day and I would have to come back later to do get a physical and lab work and that instead I would be billed for a "sick visit". I told her the reason that I scheduled the appointment and got pre-approval from the receptionist was to set up a primary care physician to get a physical and lab work not to come in for a sick visit. Dr. Jani said that this would just be a "meet and great" and even though there would be no physical or lab work provided that day I would be billed for a "sick visit" and then have to come back to get the originally scheduled physical and lab work... What a scam! There were no other patients waiting in the reception room and this appointment was first thing in the morning when they opened. There was definitely time for a physical and lab work but she either did not want me as a patient because I did not come in for her "medical weight loss" treatment or just tried to scam me and my insurance for more money. Dr. Jani ended up saying that if I was not fine coming back another day for the physical that she could not help me and walked out of the room. My advise don't go here unless you want to be one of her "medical weight loss" patients because otherwise she does not have time for you!!! read more
