Opportunity to go to a fight night at their inaugural grand opening. It was short of amazing incredibly well organized. The staff was all friendly. I'm very organized. Although the place was incredibly packed, there was order. The place was very well-maintained and controlled as far as a crowd. As far as the the fights, it was quite a show they were all Action packed. The fighters gave it. They're all and the crowd responded. I would definitely go back anytime they have another show. I was referred here from one of the best Muay Thai fighters in the US, Kevin Ross, and called 5 days ago to schedule a private with Master Nick at 1pm today. 25 mins prior to my appointment today I called to confirm the location with no answer and left a voicemail. I found the location, but he was a no show nor called me back and I waited til 1:05pm outside the closed doors. Left and at 1:38pm he texted me back and said he had left. Very unprofessional. Been there for almost a year and didn't learn much. You don't get greeted nor walked through if you're a beginner or one trying a class. The head coach Nick or Cisco are very to themselves Nick didn't walk any new beginner through shit! then Cisco would have a select few who he'd only train with. Cisco would spar with me I felt very uncomfortable as if he was envious of me for no reason same with other coach's. After almost a year training 4/5 days each week I decided to join a fight they host every other month. For whatever reason the "fighter class" became a private lesson hour for particular fighters that were pro fighters and or they didn't do the class cause nobody ended up coming but I did. All the coach's didn't assist me or help come up with a game plan for the fight they focused to much on the kids or women. They also gave me an opponent who was like 5,5 while I'm 6,3 170LB make that make sense.... Two weeks prior to the fight they had a "testing day" on a Monday where I was finessed $65 for "testing" which was basically 35 kids and a few adults at the "adult class" we all did a combo like jab, jab, cross and we'd all wait till each one did the combo. After the hour was done and maybe 4/5 combos was preformed we all went home and two weeks went on and still had not been talked to on a score or rank. The adult classes are filled with primary kids who goof around and I ended up basically having to coach whoever I partners with cause Nick, Cisco and the other coach's didn't care enough to fix their technique. I had a week left till the fight and was not ready. Was doing all the running etc four hour gym sessions each day but then my mom got diagnosed with breast cancer and within seven days had both breast removed. I had a lot going on mentally so ended up not fighting on the card and I'm greeted the same day from Nick using foul language calling me a pussy etc then before I can even call them back the following day the day of the fight he canceled my membership. I only seen the messages and voice mails the following day and told my twin brother who was also offended and canceled his membership and was only greeted by this Nick dude who was calling him names for being my brother and canceling. This place is based on money nobody cares about your injuries or mental health nobody talks to you unless you're a kid or woman and prices are only going up. I was at $135 a month that got increased to like $180 a month which is asinine since it's literally like a Zumba class. Nobody is there to help you check it out yourself everything said above you'll experience. Your better buying a heavy bag for $150 and doing that as you watch videos online don't listen to these coach's they just try to rob you for private lessons or if you decide to fight you just lose more then you gain. Not only that you end up paying $280+ to join there are "association fees" "uniform fees" and first month membership fee your first month joining. No pad work either either you spar twice a week or you do drills with a less experienced partner the other three days. read more

I went to a different gym prior to OKG. I was in Fight Capital for 4 months & realize I haven't learned any fundamentals or techniques during my time there. I decided to post on my Facebook, asking for recommendations. A couple of my old coworkers referred me to One Kicks. My first week there was unbelievable. I've learn so much in one week compared to the 4 months at the other gym. I was addicted to learning that On my off day I would train 2xs a day. On my second day of my free week,; Even The legendary Master Nick held pads for me! Taught me foot work and my jabs. The girls coach, Kru Joyce Luna, invested so much time with me. Due her dedication and time I was able to skip colors during our ranking ceremony. Which is also cool about this gym, they do color ranking (arm band). If I am correct, it also inspired gyms in Thailand to ask Master Nick how he does his ranking. This gym is not only a lifestyle but we all become a family. My son Diesel 11yo is a competitive fighter and we took advantage of their free class to check out their sparring sessions. They have a boxing ring which helps simulate a real competition. The sparring sessions are intense, sparred 2 different kids and they were both excellent, a testimonial to the training that they receive. The coaches are very knowledgeable and friendly. We've fought at several mma gyms and can attest to the training and accommodations that each offer. They have beginner class and an advance class, which is important so that you can grow and not just learn the same basic moves in different combinations. I had been wanting to learn to fight for years and finally got around to looking at various gyms throughout southern Las Vegas. I checked out a few different places, but then a buddy of mine who had been training at One Kick's for a couple of years talked me into coming there for a class and I signed up immediately afterwards. For the past year and a half I have been training in Muay Thai and have learned so much from Master Nick and Master Lookchang. They really take the time to work with you on your technique and make sure you're learning correctly. When I first started I was a clumsy mess. I'd fall down a lot. I couldn't make it through class without getting completely exhausted, but with all the training I've received and conditioning I've been honing up my skills pretty well and gradually advancing in rank. I'm quite confident now that I could defend myself against an aggressor if needed. Even if fighting is not what you're looking for, it's also a great way to stay in shape. Since I started training last year I've dropped my body fat by 8 percentage points and lost 10 pounds. I really like the environment here too. Everyone is an equal. It doesn't matter if you're a professional MMA fighter, an amateur fighter, or someone who has no intention of competing at all. Everyone is friendly and welcoming towards each other. I've even had some of the pro fighters take their own time to help me out, without me even having to ask, when I've been there practicing by myself during an open mat session. I started coming to One Kick's Gym in March of 2011, and have had no regrets! I started training in Muay Thai since 2007, and have been to many different gyms, but none of them were like One Kick's Gym. At One Kick's classes are set up by experience and students are matched up or paired with other students that are in the same level so that learning is easy and fun! You will learn basic, intermediate and (at times) advanced techniques. My daughter has been doing Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu at One Kick's for almost two years now and I have been doing Muay Thai there for a little over a year. I can honestly say that this is the best gym to train at, and by all means it is not cardio kick boxing, you will train to fight even if you don't actually fight. Anthony, Pretty Boy, Joyce and Cisco are all awesome trainers and will take the time to help you with anything you are struggling with, they are also very encouraging and will push you to keep going. Master Nick is not only a beast of a fighter and trainer, he is also a mentor to the kids and adults alike, if my kid isn't listening or acting right or doing poorly at school, I just say "you want me to talk to Master Nick and have him talk to you" he cares and pushes the kids to be the best they can be, to have respect and honor and to keep their grades up.
