Ok, this is a nuanced review. I am giving them 5 stars, for what they are. I have been looking for a classic Club Sandwich. It's seems like they have gone out of vogue. However, my quest took me to One Man Band today and I'm so glad that I stopped!! Exactly what I was looking for. Dagwood Club Sandwich: 10/10 - this is exactly what a club sandwich should be. Good toasted bread, the bacon was on point, and the turkey, ham, tomato were all on point. Hot Chocolate: 8/10 - very good, self serve hot chocolate. They have a bunch of the cremes you can add in. lots of fun Giant Scone: 9/10 - I think next time I have to try the Navajo Taco, because it was awesome! Flapjack: TBD - I think this was great. My wife kind of ruined it because she doused it in syrup. So it's not fair for me to judge. As far as ordering, you do that by phone. It's a little different, but charming in its own way. Everyone was nice and the food was great! Pro Tip - Bring a couple bucks in cash to use the Jukebox! Then you get to pick the music playing the whole time you are here! read more

In a world of too many fancy Egg places, sometimes all you need is good grub fairly priced. Solid menu with the basics done well. You place your orders using the phone in each booth. You then self serve the beverages and condiments. They ping you to the counter when your order is ready, to pay and collect your food. Ambiance is similar to a 50s diner. Music playing in the background. Decor with 50s cars and motorcycles. Booths that are plushy and vinyl. Service was the most interesting part. You seat yourself. Phone order your entire order. Grab you own drinks, utensils, and condiments. Once you order is ready they ping you and you pick up your food at the counter. Essentially this restaurant is manned with 2-3 bussers and cashiers. Kitchen is staffed with 3-4 cooks. Food is American style brunch, breakfast, lunch and dinner theme. Prices are very good and has a lot to offer for everyone. For example Chicken Fried Steak with fixins for under $12, wow. In this day and age of inflationary prices and ridiculous egg prices, the one man band serves up classic American dishes at classic American prices. Great Food, Great Vibe! I visited One Man Band for lunch with a work colleague, and it was a memorable experience from start to finish! The setup is something you don't see every day--kind of a throwback to a 1950s-style diner but with a modern twist. There are no servers; instead, once you're ready, you pick up the phone at your table and call in your order. When your food is ready, your phone buzzes and you head up to pick it up and pay. Super efficient and kind of fun! I ordered the Hobo Surprise, which was absolutely delicious. It came with hashbrowns, cheese, onions, ham, peppers, two eggs, and toast--a hearty, satisfying meal with generous portions. A lot of the setup is self-service, but it's done in a way that's easy and convenient. I imagine this helps keep costs down, which is a win for customers because the prices were very reasonable. Even without traditional servers, the staff working in the kitchen were friendly, fast, and clearly cared about putting out good food. The place had a fun, retro vibe, was clean, and while it was busy, it wasn't overcrowded or chaotic. I'm already looking forward to going back--there are plenty of menu options I want to try next time. My wife had a navajo taco and thought it was okay. I'm on a mission to go to every restaurant in Lehi so this was another checkbox, but I don't think I'll be back. What a fun concept! You order your food from a phone, they call you when it's ready, and you grab your own coffee/beverages and condiments while you wait. It's so simple and yet the execution is flawless. Even for a couple of first timers like my friend and I, we had no problem figure out how everything worked. And we loved it! The food is better than I expected! It's top notch cafe/diner grub, in my opinion. The Crazy Eights are what fried food dreams are made of. You have to get an order (or two) for the table. The burrito was simple, but delicious. And the French toast had the perfect balance of chewy & softness. We loved everything! It's seat-yourself, so you may have to wait for a table to be cleared but the staff is quick to clear used tables so you won't be waiting long. Everyone should try One Man Band at least once. They need more help / staff and quality controls at One Man Band. Went in on a Saturday evening. 3 staff trying to do it all is just not enough. We waited over 45 mins to get our food. When it did come, one of my kids corn dogs was cold..The other kids grilled cheese had cold un-melted cheese in the middle too. While the server was apologetic, the two cooks just could not keep up with the volume and so clearly were rushing things and putting out food that wasn't quite complete. read more

I'm a devout One Man Band customer. My family probably visits One Man Band 7-8 times a year and each time we have a positive experience. The whole experience of this joint is one of kind from the ordering from the booth phones, the diner environment and feel and the One Man, or Woman, cooking all of the food in the back. I haven't found anything on their menu that I didn't like but there are definitely some highlights; the sticky chicken salad is probably one of their best items and the Steam Roller sandwich both standout. I always recommend this place to those visiting and we usually go here with our extended family when we're trying to find a place for us all to eat. read more

Experience was fun from a diner point of view, you have to call in the order using a little red phone at your table. No waitress as such. Self serve with utensils etc. Italian donuts were delish. The huevos rancheros was strictly ok, do not recommend. Not authentic. read more

i absolutely absolutely love love love One Man Band. it has an authentic 1950s feel you won't find anywhere else. i love the booths, the bar, the small town feel, the decorations and most importantly the hard workers here. very friendly staff and friendly owner. the food here is great and i don't believe i've ever had a meal here i've needed to take back. my husband loves their burgers. i love probably everything on their breakfast menu. their drinks have free refills, even their hot chocolate! i've come here since i was a toddler and the restaurant has mostly stayed the same (repairing things that need to be repaired and polishing things up) which i think is a plus because it has kept its same charm that many restaurants end up losing over the years. they also do a good job keeping floors, tables and counter tops clean. i will always recommend this place to everyone looking for a good place for breakfast! read more

This is a little "hole in the wall" place. We wanted to go somewhere to eat breakfast that was not a chain restaurant. You get to seat yourselves and call in your order. This place has a great old school diner feel. You sit at a booth and send in your order with the telephone. All the food was great and the portions were perfect where all the adults and kids left full. I had a bbq cheeseburger and it was awesome. First of all, be warned that they are not into masks. They have a sign on the front door that states you can wear one if you want to but they are not enforcing it. This is just typical diner food. And that is a good thing. It is also the reason they've been around for so long. They do it right. We enjoyed our breakfast orders. The only thing we probably would not order again is the French toast. It was just ordinary. Nothing special. The biscuits were good but the gravy tasted floury. The Hanks breakfast with Country fried steak was good and well seasoned, but the floury gravy - lets just hope it was a bad day for gravy. But the breakfast that was stellar was the Philly steak omelette. That thing is huge, big enough to share, but you may not want to share. So many good flavors going on in that plate. Two other good things about One Man Band If they know how to do bacon and eggs right. Crispy bacon. Eggs perfectly cooked order. And everything came out in a timely manner. Ordering is done on phone at your table and you pay when you pick it up. There is a 10% discount on Yelp. Seating is limited as spaces are blocked off for social distancing. On arrival, parking was great. When you first walk into the door, there are instructions on how to to order your your food and drinks. The diner was clean and the atmosphere was phenomenal. We had the #2, Hanks Country Bacon. It had country fried steak, eggs, hashbrowns, and biscuits and gravy. The meal was excellent! It had good flavor. The Diet Coke was spot on.
