Generally, the petrol price at Mortlake Service Centre is ten cents more expensive than the average price. A little annoying, but you're paying for the convenience (of not having to drive the extra few minutes to Concord Rd). If you have a long drive ahead of you, this is not the place to stock up on munchies. The variety is limited, to put it kindly. Despite all this, I continue to fill up in Mortlake because the service is exceptional. A nostalgic atmosphere greets you as you drive up to the petrol pump. There's no need to get out of your car because a friendly gentlemen will be there before you can open the door, asking how your day has been, and how many liters you need, before filling it up himself. Sometimes it's worth paying a few extra cents for exceptional, old-fashioned service!

He made it sound like the problem was catastrophic and then told me to 'get it out' and park down the road, saying maybe he'd look at it in a few days, all while laughing. Also repeated "you cooked it". I left feeling embarrassed and disrespected. I then drove one minute away to another mechanic who inspected the car immediately and diagnosed the issue in under 10 seconds it was simply a broken belt. No customer deserves to be mocked or treated like a nuisance when they're worried about their vehicle. Extremely unprofessional. I would not recommend this business for anyone looking for an honest and respectful service.
