    Baked Potato

I will say if half stars were available I would give closer to 3.5. This experience lacked an equality to price required. Upon making the reservation, I included we were celebrating a special occasion and our server did not already know that, poor service in my opinion for this establishment and nothing special was done- a missed opportunity. The atmosphere was dark with beautiful chandeliers, tables a bit close- I had to have people scoot up in their chairs when needing to get out between tables to use the bathroom. Food was ok- my filet was delicious and cooked to requested temperature. My baked potato was large but the toppings were few, they did bring more upon request. My husband's ribeye was so thin, but was cooked medium as requested. The crispy Brussels were soggy not crispy. My son enjoyed the lamp chops, nicely seasoned. I just expected better.

I wish I had more pictures to post here, was too busy enjoying it all. Let's start out with the service - from the bartender to our server, we were well cared for. We arrived a little earlier so we went to the bar and enjoyed some whiskey (their well whiskey is Buffalo Trace - not a bad choice if this is their base line!) and Riesling. We then went to our table and ordered some oysters from BC (British Columbia) which were fresh and delicious accomplices with horse radish, cocktail sauce and a butter base sauce - all delicious. Then had the calamari with more, excellent sauces. Main course was the 10 oz rib eye (maybe it was 12? I forget) with some sides. Flavor was on point! Maybe a little less quality on the meat choice for the price but still delicious. Overall ambience was great for what it is. I would say atmosphere is the lacking area here. It works, don't get me wrong, but it's not a pampas room or fancy club that you might expect. It's not a dive by any means and it lives up for the price with drinks, food and service!! Highly recommend!

Such a lovely ambiance and wonderful staff. We started with a charcuterie board that had such a large array of delicious cheese. I only wish each had a little tag with what kind of cheese, so that I can purchase later. I also had a lobster bisque as a starter. Sadly this was nothing special and didn't taste like a traditional lobster bisque. The waiter was very patient with all my menu questions. I couldn't decide what to eat and he said the salmon was popular. I love salmon, but sometimes restaurants can over cook it or it comes out tasteless. THIS salmon honestly was probably the best salmon I have ever had! It was so tender and flavorful. The veggies and rice were perfect as well and paired nicely. Next time I'm in Waco I'm definitely coming back!

Between a 4 and a 3 here... service was good and friendly. Indoor ambiance was alright, actually preferred their outdoor patio set up if it's a pleasant day weather wise. More casual but cute. Food wise we did the pecan crusted sea bass which was delicious and my fiancé got the steak which was pretty good quality. They were out of the bottle of wine I ordered and of course the alternate options brought to us were significantly higher priced but good. Desert wise we did the crème brûlée and the turtle cheesecake which had tons of toppings with it. Overall and good experience but for the price it just didn't impress me to the levels other steak houses have. Good for a special occasion but I doubt we'll be back.

They were really kind and getting us a table when we called last minute. The bar top tables, although they were small, was still a great experience overall. Our food was well cooked and our waiter was really great. If you're going for the first time, I recommend trying the cheese platter, which is just a combination of a bunch of cheeses and meats. The lobster risotto makes for a great side dish along side your steak. Overall, a great experience, and I hope to go back soon.

My husband and I stopped here on the way to Austin and we were very impressed! The food was outstanding, the service was top notch and the spirits selection was great. We had the Caesar Salad with Spanish white anchovies as an appetizer and it was fantastic. For the main meal, my husband had the seared Tuna and I had the Cherry smoked king Salmon, both dishes were perfectly cooked and the Brussel sprouts paired with my dish were wonderful! We ordered dessert and the key lime pie my husband ordered and the bread pudding I had were both wonderful! The ambiance was quiet and nice for a special occasion or just fine dinning for two. Overall this place was as good as any 4 star I've eaten in the DFW metroplex... great restaurant! Keep up the great service and great food!!! The food and service are worth the drive.

Very nice place with an excellent menu. I found the prices to be reasonable based on the quality and the service.

My family had dinner here this past weekend…read more The setting is a nice, upscale steakhouse. Warning that parking was a bit hard to find. Even though the parking lot is large, it was packed when we got there (our dinner was 6:30 on a Friday night). The service was good (a bit more on that later). We had: Lobster S'cargot (4/5) - Lobster served with the traditional s'cargot sauce even on the s'cargot dish. Pretty good but very rich. When it first came out, we thought it as being served in a hollowed out bowl but given it's served on the s'cargot dish, the portion size is actually pretty small. Akaushi New York Strip (5/5) - The better steak of the night. Very good version of the NY strip, full of flavor and perfectly seasoned. 10-oz Cold Lobster Tail (5/5) - I added this to make my entre "surf and turf." Delicious and presented in an awesome manner! Akaushi Rib-Eye (3.5/5) - This was an "off-the-menu" special. The waitress brought out a big platter with the specials of the day (6 various cuts of beef). We were told one of these was the Akaushi rib-eye served bone-in. The steak looked great raw (well marbled and 3/4 inch thick). This is not what we got. What we got was not bone-in and the steak was very thin (more like 1/4 inch cut). Putting gross weight aside, looked nothing like what we were presented. We did not say anything as the steak itself was okay. I have a feeling the waitress told us the wrong thing. Cajun Pasta (3/5) - Seasoning and flavor was okay but the pasta was severely overcooked. Overall, a pretty good meal for our trip.

Came here with my sisters expecting a great dining experience and left completely disappointed…read more Hostesses were fake and borderline condescending right from the start. We kept it simple with apps and drinks, and even that was a letdown. The calamari came out lukewarm with zero flavor. Crab cakes were also barely warm (they tasted okay, but still shouldn't be served like that). The worst part was the lobster bisque--bland, lukewarm, and honestly tasted like canned soup with a few pieces of "lobster" thrown in. No flavor at all. We didn't complain, but the manager came over after noticing it wasn't touched and said the chef was "trying something different"... it didn't work. Even a guest next to us overheard and said the quality has gone downhill--she had sent hers back too. The only good thing was the drinks--dirty vodka martinis were solid. Overall, not worth the price. We won't be back.

First, it's beautiful inside. Darker walls. Eclectic art. There's no cookie-cutter stuff here. Every wall, every facade is nice to look at and you forget you're in an outdoor shopping plaza in Texas, which is hard to do around here! Second, service was great - no complaints there. A younger server named Jennifer I think saw to us and she was great - checked in, was prompt and pleasant. Third - food was GREAT! We all LOVED everything! Some old review said their mac and cheese was "the worst ever" while others have said the best - It's THE BEST! Very, very good! I had a filet which was a little different than others I've had which was excellent; most filets are a tight piece of meat but this was one was looser (I know that's weird to say) but whatever - it was delicious and I highly recommend it. Drinks were great. Their smoked old fashioned was worth it and the wines were great too. We don't live near here but would go back again if we are in the area for sure. Little worried about this particular shopping area as I saw two other restaurants with CLOSED permanently signs on them. Let's hope this place lasts!

The ambiance alone sets the tone: warm, elevated, and festive, with beautiful holiday décor that immediately makes the whole place feel special. The cocktails were fantastic -- beautifully crafted, refreshing, and served with great attention to detail. But the star of the night for me was the food. Every dish we tried had its own personality, but the bao bun absolutely stole my heart. It was my first time trying one, and I honestly expected the texture to be strange... instead, it was pure heaven. Light, pillowy, flavorful -- I would go back for that alone. We also enjoyed several small plates, each presented beautifully and layered with flavor. You can tell the kitchen puts true care into every detail. Our server, Jacob, was the best! Friendly and he would cut up with our table. How fun! Service was warm, friendly, and perfectly paced, making the entire evening feel relaxed and celebratory. We were there to celebrate a birthday, and The Butcher's Cellar made it feel truly special. If you're looking for a unique dining experience with exceptional dishes, elegant atmosphere, and memorable service, this is absolutely the place. We can't wait to go back!
