I have decided to quote having a new roof on our family cottage outside of Rhinelander. I selected to have six companies to provide thorough quotes. Purchasing a roof for a previous home, I[NK1] comprehensively knew the process. Part of my interview process is the promptness and professionalism of the representative. I received several quotes quotations ranging thousands of dollars and lead-time from 30 days to one year. I was not going with the lowest quote, because you often get what you pay for. When we were looking for a roofing company to replace the 30 year old roof on our recently purchased cabin, I asked our roofer in the Wausau area who he would recommend, and was told to contact Oneida Roof and Chimney. I was looking for a very good warranty and they were able to provide us with the manufacturer's Golden Pledge Warranty. Caleb looked at the job and quickly provided us with an estimate that included replacing two skylights. The crew showed up on schedule and had the tear-off completed quickly and neatly, the roof waterproofed, and the new shingles were installed the next day. Clean-up was done very well. After we moved here last year, we are in the process of adding a large addition. Once again, Caleb provided us with a prompt estimate. Because of the winter weather, Josh and Caleb worked closely within my builder's time frame to get the roof completed in less then a day, even with the high 11/12 pitch, several valleys, and 3 different roof lines. I am the owner of oneida roof and chimney in lake tomahawk. I am writing this in response to this Sharon person that left a bad experience post on this sight. I don't recall this happening but if I missed an appointment I regret that. As for the end of the post where the competitor slandered us saying he hears we don't get stuff done in a timely manner and that we have angry customers, that is nonsense. We have a stellar reputation in a small community where if we had angry customers we would not be regarded as the go to guys for roofing and chimney needs....and we unquestionably are. I can take responsibility for an oversight like missing an appointment, but I'm not going to have someone go over the top to the degree of what was said in these remarks. One more thing, The notion that someone would have to send people to a motel because if it rained the chimney leaked is at best, weird and at the worst is a totally made up lie. I had Oneida Roof and Chimney out February 7th 2023 to remove a very thick ice dam from the east side of the upper Roof. They use the "Arctic Steamer" machine which to my knowledge is the safest way to remove ice dams. They were quick at their work and provided a thorough inspection afterwards to make sure there was no damage. Owner Josh Hunt is great with communication and quick response times, and he treats his customers with integrity and care. Alot of Roofing companies in Northern Wisconsin are not very professional or reliable to provide quality service, but Oneida Roof and Chimney is a refreshing step above.​ read more

I was considering hiring this company for a roofing job. However when I drove up to their business they had inflammatory political signs in front of their building. I know "It's Their Right" to post on private property. However, they may lose customers, other than myself, that wouldn't likewith such an offensive company. But...maybe they do not care!
