These courses might be great for someone who has their company paying for it but to me they're extremely overpriced if you're footing the bill and looking for a career change of any kind. Goes way too fast and it's just not likely for a 10 week course coming from no experience to become proficient enough to get a decent job in the field. The "advisor" told me no experience was necessary and the "front desk girl just finished that course and got a job". To me it feels like a lot of the for profit schools that tell you all you can do and charge a ton. There are basically free sites/courses that can teach you the same thing. I messed up and I accept that which is why I'm leaving this review to help the next guy/girl.

After 12 weeks of focus and hard work, thanks to GA, I have built a strong foundation for a career in front-end development by gaining exposure to a broad range of technologies. The intructors were fantastic. The experience they bring to the classroom taught us to think like developers by providing just enough guidance to maximize our time in the program while allowing us to struggle through obstacles the right way rather than taking shortcuts. I can honestly say I learned more during those three months than I did in college. Moreover, the outcomes team provided more than enough tools, and networking opportunities to land a job I was excited about. Make no mistake though, you will get out whatever effort you put into this course. Don't sign up if you're not ready to work hard. Beyond providing a hard skillset, this course inspired me to challenge myself and enjoy the learning process again. With each new project comes new puzzles to solve, and with each new language comes new obstacles to conquer and skills to master. Learning about the history is great, because we have a piece of it! Eanes is the oldest operating school in Texas! There are special groups lead by special teachers. You have to complete a certain test to enter one of the groups. I'm in one of the groups called GT. (GT is short for Gifted and Talented.) There is something called specials where you learn about music, art and phys. ed. depending on the day, because there is a A, B, and C day. Every class goes to specials depending on the pattern of their class. Our class'es pattern is: A is phys. ed., B is music, and C is art. Our school is unique also because it's mostly outdoors! There's a bunch of pathways leading here and there, all around the campass!

However, I love the school regardless even if they are taking every dime I have to give me another edu'maction (I am sure that would make my professors proud). After doing a BA and a MS here - I have ventured back for another MS degree and now a regular at this campus. This location is so easy to get to - the classes are comfortable - and there's a coffee shop on the main floor open until 7 PM. The staff have been super friendly while I work to find my way around or need a jump for my car because my battery died. At least they always make me feel "special" given the amount of money I am investing in myself and their institution.

Matt is hands-down amazing. Before I even signed up for the course, I called him on his personal cell and he answered every one of my million questions in an hour-long conversation. After this phone call, I signed up for the course, and the misery of studying for the LSAT began. As difficult as the content is, and as miserable as studying for this test can be, Matt made the class extremely fun and I actually looked forward to the 4-hour long classes every Tues/Thurs. night after my 8 hour workday. He is extremely positive and upbeat throughout every class and he always has a hilarious anecdote to lighten the mood. Upbeat classes and funny jokes aside, he is absolutely BRILLIANT. I have never met a person who is both brilliant and personable. He is not awkward at all and is a surprisingly normal and genuine human being who really cares about each of his students and their success. Plus he has many tricks that can make even the toughest logic games seem like a piece of cake. The thing that surprised me the most was his dedication to his students. He always arrived to class an hour early to answer any questions from individual students. AND every class had an optional 30 minute to hour-long "postgame" where students who wanted extra practice could stay late to work on tough problems with him looking over your shoulder. Not only that, but he gives every student his personal cell # so that you can call/text him anytime with questions. Matt is also unique because he is not a current law student or recent grad working this job for extra money. He is a full-time tutor with over 10 years of experience teaching the LSAT. I believe that this expertise and his devotion to his students makes him a one-of-a-kind LSAT instructor and you would be remiss not to take his course.
