Excellent service! My mom had shoulder surgery and was staying at my sister's house. She needed her electric recliner from her house moved to my sister's house so that she could use the chair as she doesn't have use of her arm while she heals. I contacted various movers as her previous plans to get the chair moved fell through. Big Stuff movers were quick to respond to my request for a price quote. I contacted 3 different companies and only Big Stuff movers and another company quickly contacted me back. I wanted the chair moved within the next two days but they were booked until the weekend. I got their price quote and thought they were reasonable. I got the other price quote from the other moving company and they were ridiculously priced. I agreed to wait until the weekend so the Big Stuff movers could move the recliner. I made a small deposit when I booked and the reminder was due upon delivery. They were excellent in responding to my text messages. The day of the move the mover wore a mask and covers on his shoes and went upstairs, disassembled the recliner and took it to my sister's house and reassembled the recliner. My mom is very happy now she has her recliner and can get up without the need of assistance. Thank you Big Stuff movers for helping my mom with her recliner. ***update******* The guy apologized so I gave him another chance.... Well that was stupid. He tells me to be at my storage at 330... So I get there and he's not. So I text to see what the deal is only to find out he is by 1604 and marbach...and it's already about to be 4pm. So by the time he would have arrived it would have been close to 5... Everyone in SA KNOWS traffic is bad... So because of time constraints I had to cancel AGAIN.... *********** So I'm actually extremely pissed. This past week I needed movers. The guy agreed 930am-1030... Then the next day messaged me and said if 230-3 was ok... I guess he saw I didn't respond and then sent another saying that the initial time was ok. So today I'm waiting and he called saying he had to move it to 1230. I didn't mind so I said ok. Then he blew me off again and said 230-3. I get it but I feel like he already knew that he wasn't gunna do the 930 am and was gunna bullsht me until 230.... Why? Because the message he sent the day before. Angel and his crew are awesome! I'll be honest, I found out of their services from FB marketplace. I'm sure we all know that some of the folks that advertise on there aren't the best. Not these guys! I needed to move 2 miles down the road from a friends home to the house I purchased. Didn't have a lot of stuff. I sent him pics and inventory of what needed to be moved (which wasn't a lot) and he gave me a really good price for 2 guys, truck and 2 hours. It blew me away that they wrapped all the opens in plastic to protect them and then put moving blankets around them at that price point! Then once at my new home, they also took every item to the exact location I wanted them in, Inside the house! Most movers just place all in one spot. Again, at this price point, I'm speechless how awesome and detailed they are! I recommend them all the time to neighbors and friends. Great job and my best to them and Angel. I found out about OTBS Movers through word of mouth, and It's also how I've passed on their service to others until I realized that I absolutely need to tell Yelp about my time with them. I was reminded to Yelp them because I recommended to a co-worker, and he ranted and raved about how flexible and accommodating they were to his unique situation/schedule that I remembered I ought to weigh in. We were in a downtown, 3rd story, 1.5 Bedroom 'Loft' when we decided to move to a nearby duplex (ground floor). Our intent was to box and move things bit by bit, and hire movers for things we are too tired to move. I called them up, asked them their fee, and before long they had time slot and price quote for me that was both cheaper than I expected, and after hours (because I didn't want to miss a beat with my new-ish job). What happened? They showed up on time, in a (fair warning) somewhat old truck painted a little fun/funky. Two great guys showed up ready to rock and roll, and they filled their Box Truck with everything we wanted (AND Boxes we had planned on moving ourselves) in an hour. The Load up seemed hasty and quick at first, but then i remembered these guys are much better at what they do than I. The unload process? I had them mostly dump everything but the bed frame in the living room, but it took even less time than we had allotted. When it was all said and done? We were under time, very pleased with the service, and didn't have a single item damaged. I hope I tipped them well enough (I've never used a mover before) and I will absolutely use them anytime I need help moving. After talking to several other people who had good experiences, we all agree the initial impression of the truck and business was a little rough around the edges, but when you see how accommodating to your schedule and price they are? Or when you see how hard, fast, and efficiently they work? You'll change your mind and start recommending them. I sure as heck do all the time, and this was over a 15 months ago. read more

So, first off: The two movers themselves were amazing, professional and courteous and clearly hard workers. I have no complaints about them as they were dedicated workers who did the best to make everything work. They treated all our belongings with care and made sure nothing was damaged. However, original quote to move about a dozen pieces of furniture was 3-4 hours. Actual move time ended up being just above 8 hours. This was primarily due to the need to make two trips in the truck because everything couldn't fit in one trip. This wasn't an excessive amount of furniture and the fact that it took 1-2 hours longer than necessary simply because of the need for a second trip isn't acceptable. An extra hour or two form a quote is an expected variance but double the original quoted time? They need to get a bigger van as a moving company or give more accurate quotes. Great workers and I'm sad to give a mediocre review, but the extra time just because of a small van really kills it. Update: We were made to believe from the workers that the size of the van was the cause of the extra time--whether that was true or not, that is what we were led to believe from those working there and knowledgeable about moving. And, the time -would- have be just fine...if we were quoted that originally. I never expect a quote to be perfect and I always plan for a variance in quotes of one or two hours, but double is a bit much. I'd rather have an accurate or high quote that a misleading lowballed quote that made me feel lied to just to get business. (Also--the extra driving time was 30 minutes minimum, one way without traffic! Plus including just misc. time to change and swap things, it's not unreasonable for an extra hour on top of that because time doesn't scale perfectly. That's two hours that could have been avoided or been quoted to us.) read more

Your immature response just provided even more direct evidence of why no one should use or recommend your company. The response is in retaliation for a truthful review and a form of harassment that I will look into details of having documented with law enforcement. I shouldn't even waste my time responding, but for prevention of future victims and yelp users. I am responding with the following: 1st I called you several weeks ahead of the date of move. Giving you an ample amount of time to schedule a walk- thru, in order to, determine if you can handle the move. You told me that you can handle it and that you will call 30 mins prior the day of the move letting me know that the movers are on their way. That all I have to do is put a $50 deposit. My apartment was already packed in boxes designated to the room they belong ready to move. You were the one who scattered my boxes outside my 3rd floor apt. Also how do you know some weighed 300lbs. Do you really think reviewers will believe an individual can pack 300lb boxes?? How did you and your underage workers carry down 3 flight of stairs these so called 300lb boxes without a dolly? What moving company does not provide adequate number of dollies for its movers, water, or makes there workers manually carry boxes one by one? In addition to the underage movers you used (THAT I DID NOT REQUEST). I may have to look into determining if that may be a violation with OSHA and US Department of Labor laws. How do you tell a paying customers that is requesting your moving services that they have to many boxes as you confessed that you had to carry them down because you did not provide dolly or a proper working environment for you workers. Isn't your company advertising as ONLY THE BIG STUFF MOVERS? Also why didn't you move everything if you are able to accommodate any size move as advertised? Is this false advertisement???? 2nd, my new apartment was way bigger than my old apartment, maybe if you didn't scatter my boxes, or load and unload them improperly, you would have had plenty of room to place them where they belong. Also my review wouldn't have taken the 2 months you claimed. 3rd, why didn't you mentions that you have a gun on you at all times while waiting for the cash payment because you do not accept credit cards that you decided to tell us that day after the move, but not when you accepted the credit card payment. Oh then you are trying to threaten me with charging me for waiting when you already overcharged me? Also do you have a permit for that gun? 4th. Bed bugs??? Now this is laughable and defamatory!! Why would a moving company accept to move my items if there were bed bugs and trashy? That reminds me of how nasty your truck was and should be reported for possibly spreading bed bugs. Also why didn't you mention that you threw my sofa over the balcony because you were too lazy to take it to the dumpster as I requested. 5th Your underage nephews or now kids who told me their ages, were thirsty because you did not provide them beverages. Did you feed those children after the move??? 6th You didn't reimburse me. I had to file a dispute with my credit card company because you did not respond to the several attempts made to contact you after the move. Would you like for me to provide evidence? Why didn't you reimburse me for the tape and scissors that you used. Also what happened to my discount that I was supposed to receive from doing a Yelp review the leasing rep told me you provide after completion of the move. After several different moving companies moved my kids with terrible out comes, I researched many of them. Read the reviews and checked with the better business bureau. Angel was very helpful when I called and even told me to please check the reviews because I was skeptical. I already had done my homework, so I hired them. They showed up to move my mother to an Alzheimer's group home and were extremely respectful of her with the move. They took the extra care that we needed to wrap her important things to keep them safe. Everything arrived at Mom's new place in perfect condition. They were spot on with the quote. Sucks that a few ppl weren't happy w these guys. I was scheduled 2-5 today, they called me at 1:40 saying they're on the way and showed up at 2:45. It's a moving business, shit happens. When was the last time AT&T showed up on time? Upon arriving they got right to work, didn't complain whatsoever, and worked thru the brutal heat. They quoted me 3 hours for a 1 bedroom move. Took 3 hours and 15. If it wasn't for the slow elevators at The Residence at La Cantera they would've finished in 2 hours and 45 min. I'm pretty pleased. And not to mention they're way more affordable than the other movers I got quotes from. Thanks guys, I'll for sure use y'all again if need be. read more

OTBS movers were late about an hour. Instead of a BIG truck showing up for BIG Stuff that I wanted moved, I was told 2 trips would be needed! They took too long wrapping furniture in blankets and they chose another path to move furniture instead of what I had suggested and ended up with my initial suggestion (Time means money!) They set up a bed frame & a wheel is missing (never brought to my attention); scratches were found on several pieces of furniture and before removing furniture from truck, they demanded payment. Lesson: follow them each step of the way, since the movers (owner) are young and not professional. Sent text about missing bed frame wheel and did not receive a response. read more
