RUN FAR AWAY In my…read more15+ years of renting through college, graduate school, and as a young professional, this was BY FAR the worst place I have ever lived. I got out of there as fast as I could and was counting down the days until I did. It was disgusting, pest-infested, and far from "luxury" that they advertise. The leasing office is a joke and they have no idea what they're doing. AR Building Co. has horrible ratings and I understand why. It took a lot of sleuthing and multiple phone numbers to track them down. Here was my experience: * MISLEADING RENT: your rent will be $200/mo higher than listed because of "premium" amenities, including maintenance??? Maintenance is not premium, it's standard. You cannot opt out of any of these, including valet trash which is inconsistent at best. * When I moved in, they said they deep cleaned my apartment, checked all the utilities/appliances, and took great care of the transition. In reality, I found cigarettes in the "new" carpet, lightbulbs out, dirt everywhere, shower head covered in limescale, dishwasher leaking, a 1-inch gap at the bottom of my front door, a missing closet door, and dryer vent completely full which is a huge fire hazard. * Many tenants do no follow the rules: dogs off leash, dog poop everywhere, trash left on side walks, adult males purposefully urinating in the pool, and much more. I had brought a lot of these to the attention of the leasing office but nothing ever happened. * Reeks of marijuana * Online rental system glitched and deleted my auto-pay, and I was treated horribly by the leasing office. * Birds, squirrels, and mice living in the walls * No recycling * Minors in the sauna at night * Leasing office manager hung up on me multiple times because she "did not have time for this."

The people who work in the office, particularly management, are excessively rude. My dog got loose one time and barked at a groundskeeper. It sucked and was embarrassing but they threatened to call the police and kick me out for it. For barking. He didn't ever get close enough to touch the guy. That happens with dogs and it was an accident that happened once. ONCE. They make a lot of big threats that usually don't pan out but will stress you the hell out. I've definitely cried after a few interactions with this management. If you decide to live here, plan to receive an unreasonable amount of emails EVERY. WEEK. And if they're specifically directed at you, be ready for them to be almost hostile. Also be ready to be nickeled and dimed at every turn. There are excessive fees for anything that can be fined. If one of the slats in in your blinds is bent, they will email and threaten you until you replace it. I'm not exaggerating. They have a pool but don't get too excited. It's usually pretty cold and has a lot of leaves and dead bugs in the way most apartments do. It's not a huge deal. But the concrete edges are crumbling and shards gather at the bottom of the pool. My daughter and I have cut our feet on it before. All in all, there's a lot of things you pay for and there's a lot of crappy things to put up with. It's not great but it'll do if you're desperate and in good mental place to deal with it.

Reynoldsburg Park Condominiums (RPC), sounds nice, it's not. Great location, it ends there…read more Remember all condo communities have an HOA Board, which establish rules and regulations for the harmony of the community. But RPC the HOA Board has taken that responsibility way too far, to the point they believe they are dictators. Rules are written on a whim to benefit the Board and friends within the community, President of the Board even called the community "her property". Rules are selectively enforced based on favoritism. The Board operates outside the law to the point, where a Board member threaten me in a personal email. Fictitious policy: Do not assume the building is smoke-free. "No Smoking" stickers on the building front entry doors DO NOT mean the building is smoke-free. According to the non-existence policy, only the common areas are smoke-free. If a resident smokes in their unit, the secondhand smoke will permeate the structure and enter your home. Also, against State Law the HOA will allow smoking on the patios and balconies, where you will have the opportunity to inhale an abundance of secondhand smoke. Fictitious policy: President of the HOA believes the condominiums need security cameras everywhere and should continue to add more. This objective of security cameras sound good on the surface, but it appears the President of the HOA has the ability to "monitor" all cameras from her condo. There is not a security policy in place, which means she can watch residents everywhere (common areas & pool) anytime she wishes, and does. If you make an innocent error within the building you will get a "you were bad" notice in the mail. HOAs should have a policy that includes who reviews the footage, how often, and where it's stored. Again, RPC does NOT have a security policy in place, but the cameras do provide entertainment for the HOA president in her home. The condos are a 55+ community, which usually means mature people live there to avoid chores of single-family home ownership. But this place is treated like an assisted living community, NOT a good thing. The building and grounds are poorly kept and the HOA Board refuse to listen to any ideas from residents (the peasants). Save yourself the hassles you are trying to escape, I am sure there are much better communities which you can enjoy without tyrants running the prison.

After just a little over a year of tenancy, I experienced a lot of issues with the rental itself and the problematic staff in the leasing office. Regarding the unit itself, it looked great upon first inspection. Moving in, I discovered several appliances did not work (garbage disposal and dishwasher) and the water tank leaked. Those issues were eventually repaired, but then I discovered the roach problem. I had roaches in my kitchen cabinets, under my fridge, between the cracks of my walls and counters. I struggled with them until the day I moved out; it took several visits from their exterminator before they finally agreed to spray. After the spray, I still continued seeing roaches. I also had a mice problem, although they were not as abundant as the roaches. The leasing office staff were not helpful; you rarely talk to the same person twice, and will receive different answers for the same question. Aside from the lack of cohesiveness, they are also rude and several times were quick to hurry me off the phone whenever I called about my reoccurring issues. Aside from the roaches, another issue was my bathtub; early into my tenancy, the tub paint began to crack and chip. After reporting this, and no action was taken by maintenance, the tub continued to crack and the caulking also began to separate. Black spots grew in the cracks of the caulking. I tried to reach out many times throughout the remainder of my tenancy, but no repairs were ever done. Fast forward to now, they are trying to charge me for the repair of the tub. Other shady behavior included not allowing me to be present for the final walkthrough, and taking over a month to repair a giant hole in my bathroom ceiling caused by an upstairs tenant's toilet leaking. Very disappointing and this has probably been my worst rental experience. Once again, if you are looking to rent, remember this review before considering Cornerstone Crossing.
