I've been to many, I've been burnt, hurt, cut, overcharged... I've had the beauticians complain about my hair, making excuses, doing a terrible job... The place itself is very clean and cosy, the staff are excellent. I've been three times, 3 different girls: exact same spotless technique. They use a special wax that they make themselves (for the sensitive areas) which involves essential oils. The uniqueness of this wax is that they first rub oil on your skin so that the wax actually does not pull your skin in the slightest. It just attaches to your hair. This makes for an experience 10 times less painful as the others. They don't use strips (when they use this wax) and never dip the wooden spatula in the wax twice. They say it keeps it cleaner and without bacteria. The only problem is that I live in the city centre and it's a bit too far for me to go regularly.

When I got there, I was brought to a therapy room, no towel was provided to put over myself. The therapist came back in the room without knocking, and didn't lock the door (in fact left it ajar..) and started doing her thing, the wax seemed quite good quality, but the technique wasn't great and she left dried wax a bit ..ehm..everywhere. Half way through the ordeal, someone knocks on the door and pushes it open without waiting for an answer -luckily it was another therapist. The girl who was looking after me said: "So-and-so will now take over", and left, and the other girl continued the waxing, looking quite annoyed. All in all, it was expensive, unpleasant and unprofessional. And I stil have to find a new local beautician :(

They offer everything from hands, feet and body treatments plus their waxing is priced really well so will be popping back and availing of this. Only 2 doors up from me, this could be my regular go to place... Also love they do make up application so for special occasions this could work great for me :-) Whilst my nails were being done, there was light hearted chat going on amongst us; there was another lady having her nails done and the 2 workers, one being the owner and she was super friendly, within a few weeks of opening they've really done well in the village, considering local competition these ladies have a great reputation so people have warmed to them and got booking in with them. My nails are looking great... They lasted for 3 weeks so great job and when I went back to have the shellac redone, the experience was again excellent :-)

I had facial issues due to an accident, plus naturally porous skin, so I really needed to bring my face back into balance. Most clinics offered treatments that didn't actually work for my problems - mostly superficial peels and procedures, each costing at least €300 per session, and I was told I'd need at least 5-8 sessions. Very few places are run by real doctors - mostly by people who only completed short beauty courses. Lily is a doctor of Chinese medicine. She uses top-quality Italian and American equipment and offers bold, effective laser therapy solutions. After just a few sessions, we managed to smooth out the scars on my face, and a couple of marks on my nose became much less visible. Now, I go for a maintenance laser session every six months, use one cream, and my skin looks well cared for. I'm 44 years old, and I can confidently recommend Lily to my friends now - don't be afraid to take care of your skin! Laser treatments are an excellent alternative to short-term solutions like Botox and fillers. Ladies - go to Lily without hesitation! Very uneducated and unprofessional approach to something that should just be standard practice in today's terms. Isolation is 5 days or until you have a negative test. Not 21 days. It's sad that I have to write such a negative review on what was actually a good experience. But the lack of knowledge on basic things would make me question the overall sanitary side of things. And why for me, I'll have to look elsewhere.

I'm a devoted Hollywood girl so trust me when I tell you I've never had a better experience or result than my very first sugar waxing! I have sensitive skin and have always lost patches of skin on my inner-thighs to waxing (even when I went for Lycon!) but the sugar treatment is very gentle as well as effective - I am as smooth as silk now with hardly any pain and no red patches of raw skin. The girls in Sugar and Spice Waxing are so friendly (special mention goes to Jenny!) and they always make you feel completely comfortable. The prices aren't bad either. The only thing I would say is be careful if your skin is in any way sensitive as I noticed a few red spots after the sugaring which I didn't get with other kinds of waxing. But I think my skin was just getting used to it because the second time I went there was nothing. All in all very highly recommended.
