I enjoyed how much scripture was taught and cross referenced by the pastor. The music is contemporary and was well planned to go with the teachings and it started services and ended services which I loved. The greeting on our way up the drive was nice - a sweet couple keeping dry and warm standing at the trunk of their car under their tailgate. And again in the parking lot, which was pretty full! The kids ministry was friendly and understanding of those wanting to keep their kids with them. They were introducing quite a few new deacons for their church this morning and it was wonderful to see and hear how their leadership is taught to serve. Jesus was the center, the heart, and the message for the whole visit. We will be back the next time we're in town.

Our girls love and look forward every week to the Kidz Zone where they learn about God through fun activities and interaction with other children. My husband and I love the pastor's down to earth preaching / teaching and his focus on being disciples. We also love the worship team whose musical talents bring praise to a new level. We also love the events and opportunities to be part of the community, especially the Lifegroup concept which brings us into fellowship and Bible study each week with families like ours.

More than half the celebration is in Latin, music is old and traditional with plenty of chanting. Zero excitement. If I were a young person I would have no desire to attend this church. If you like an old school Catholic Church, then OLOTM is your church. As for me, being in my sixties, I will also look for a more upbeat celebration of our Lord.

I met Pastor Ron through my mother-in-law who was a devote Catholic. The first person to visit her in the hospital was Pastor Ron not her priest. Not once, but several times over a course of several years even at her home. While they didn't share the exact beliefs of each-others faith, they did share a love for God. Ron was the only non-Catholic my mother-in-law ever prayed with in her life. Is he opinionated, straight talker, yes! Where he not he'd be perfect and there's only one perfect person ever to live on this earth and it was Jesus Christ. Never before did I notice or realize that so many preachers today take scripture, paraphrase it and turn into their personal belief then wanting you to take it as God's will. I did exactly that for years never thinking, wow, that guy is nuts! At CORNERSTONE, Ron reads, preaches and practices the WORD OF GOD. And he challenges the congregation to correct him or explain his message AT ANY TIME DURING HIS SERVICE! If someone can point out a misquote or untruth, Ron is the first to correct it and apologize. He admits it daily, I'm not always right but try very hard to be! There's nothing wrong with this Church, it's pastor or it's members. I don't have a dog in this fight, I'm not a member, nor do you have to be to attend CORNERSTONE. I've visited CORNERSTONE CHURCH many times in the past 5 years for Bible Study and Sunday Worship. You won't find a better group of CHRISTIANS anywhere. Don't believe me, find out for yourself!
