We chose Optimum mostly because my wife is wheelchair-bound and we needed coverage for medical transport to doctor visits. But, their transport system SUCKS! They subcontract with a company called Trip2. They have been so late every time we've tried to use them that she's completely missed her appointments and it was a total waste of time. ***OPTIMUM HEALTH CARE---Over promise & Under perform*** _____________________________________________________________ (Updated Nov 8, 2024) These clowns are as TIRED as those 10 year old TV commercials--"Optimize me!" TRY to get anything accomplished---between their under-trained staff and ancient business parameters, you will end up pulling out your hair dealing with the actual sad reality of Medicare Advantage Run Wild! The ONLY thing worthy is the $10 Publix gift card! I even had a sales rep who broke 15 promises before a month went by! And forget their "doctor" lists! Almost as limited as their OTC products (5 half pages) compared to 40 page catalog at Care +. The worst experience in dealing with Optimum? The argumentative employees that NEVER pull up any info or the reasons for the call in!!!! So it takes OVER hour to even get something to happen. And then Optimum FAILS to mail results and even fails to augment your account to keep all employees up to date. Without being too rude, I can only imagine the atmosphere and attitudes fermenting with their call centers. I just fired Optimum and had to hang up twice on Steven who wanted to argue how he was "getting a visit approved" at a local hospital that no one at Optimum even knew was participating with their program! And now armed with that bit of 411....could still only offer "we're looking at getting it okay-ed for your visit!!!! After three (3) f-ing weeks!!!! Imagine if this were a life threatening situation......(well actually it almost is!) Yet all employees argue about how they are doing their job and they just opened my case. *****All things patients want to hear from the powers that be who control your meds, doctors, and hospital coverages.***** Do yourself a favor! Actually find friends that like Optimum.....ask your doctors which insurances cater to patient's needs....ask your pharmacists who they like to deal with........ Betcha it ain't Optimum (or Freedom!) Stay away for all you care. Choose another plan. You will have issues with providers, customer service, and OTC benefits. The latest refers the OTC benefits of January 2025 which has not shipped yet. In writing, they give me the excuse that it is due to "the holiday rush" --- in late February 2025. Do they mean Valentine's Day rush? Choose another plan. Not worth it. read more

Optimum offers you a generous monthly "benefit" to purchase over the counter supplies but when you order the supplies are exorbantly priced and take weeks to arrive by mail. Usually, we order on the first of each month but the drugs for this month still are not her going on the 19th??? That's Service???? read more

the otc part of optimum doesn't deliver on time sometimes not even in the month of your order. customer care can't help you either.

This is a review for the E. Bay Dr., optimum healthcare office in Largo. I went in for a simple question and to see the office. I was greeted cordially by the front desk person but when I went to speak to a representative she could care less about me. I reckon the people in these offices are nothing but sales agents and want to make a commission. I wanted to know if silver sneakers or any other items were included the benefits of Medicare advantage plan. Her first response was did you get this online or through an agent. I told her it was an agent. She says well you can talk to the agent. I said well I'm here now. Can you answer some questions and she kind of put up with me and said OK whats your question. I said can I get certain benefits with my Medicare advantage plan. She said oh you're gonna get something in the mail. She just didn't want to help me at all. All she wanted was a commission for sale. Not a great customer service experience at all. read more
