A promised 6 week installation took about 6 months over all. The design was incorrect so we had to wait for other cupboards to arrive. The senior management couldn't care a jot when I called to complain, (I heard they've sold the business on), and now we can't get after sales service. Our laminated cupboards are de-laminating after just 3 years, and various phone calls and we still have not heard from anyone. The original store we bought from has closed down. It's a nightmare. I would never have used them had I known they really didn't care about anything other than sales. 20 year guarantee? Yeah, but only if they actuary return calls and do something. I guess if I don't get it resolved soon I'll have to complain to Office of Trading Standards or a similar body to try help me fix it. read more

Not a happy experience overall. The builders they used for the prep work and decorating (Jenkins and Falvey) were very messy. They never used dust sheets and we ended up having to put down towels to protect our carpet. Their boss said he'd be round every day but we never saw him and he said we wouldn't have to pay a penny until it was all finished but then billed us 50% 2 days into the job! They haven't been back to sort out the bits of the decoration that were scuffed during the installation. The designer ignored my specification for the freezer, charged extra to sort it out and complained to my wife about my negotiating tactics. The designer also got it wrong about how the extractor would install, leaving us with a chimney we think is unsightly. In my opinion they also hinged one cupboard door on the wrong side too. We ordered a microwave grill but the model number specified had no grill - fortunately they realised they had to sort that one out although that meant more delay. They forgot we were having a glass splashback which delayed the job completion by over two weeks. Total time taken for the whole project about 10 weeks! The end result was fine (except for the extractor), but if I had known how it would go I would never have used them. Note that they want all their money before they even deliver the stuff, and ask yourself why that might be. Do they fear they may routinely be giving customers ample grounds to withhold some of the money? It gets worse. Their after-sales service has been abysmal. The microwave/grill broke down and they just pushed the responsibility onto Bosch without ever trying to ensure that things were getting sorted out. As a result we were without a microwave for over a month. I also discovered some minor damage that had been done during installation, probably during the much-delayed splashback fitting. Someone came out fairly promptly to assess it and identify the parts needed but they were never ordered until the second time I tried to chase up on it. Then when we finally got a date to do it, I was called in the afternoon to be told the fitter couldn't make it. Overall this is the worst company it has ever been my misfortune to deal with. One of the best kitchen companies around in my opinion. Obviosuly I've not had that many fitted kitchens myself but we all hear the horror stories from friends. The design experience was good with our funny shaped 150-year old building being compesnsated for. The designer chappie was very competent and spotted some potential issues early. The fitter when he came was excellent and proved that a good craftsman can cope with any problems a unique building can throw at you.
