So much so, last year I had to be sedated! Zwanger-Persiri radiology has state of the art equipment for all your imaging needs. And it's so convenient, so close to my home. The staff is very patient and professional and they always play on their television in the lobby educational programs. I was watching a show on Great White Sharks, I didn't want to leave! Once I'm in the MRI room, they're playing 80s music to keep calm. Not moving for 10 minutes? I'm like a shark, constantly in motion. I sat still, payed my co payment and was out the door. It's really location specific- today 1/19/26 around 3:10 pm- at the east setauket location I was…read morethere getting a cat scan with IV contrasts - the blonde person inserting the IV placed it and withdraw blood from me in a syringe at the same time and saved it on the counter - not telling me what or why she needed it and then proceeded to tell me to leave and wait in the room next door- i then asked why the blood was taken she said oh they need to check my kidney function( test my dr did before sending me for this test) she then proceeded to put some drops in a card to run in machine and saved the rest- she came back said test was ok but still didn't discard the left over one in the syringe- it was instead placed in an cut envelope ( extra unsafe step there not needed!!) and since I wouldn't leave , she attempted to discard the syringe protected in the half cut enveloped. I said no - then took the syringe out of the envelope and emptied half the blood in syringe in the red hazard disposable sharp bin next to me first before dropping into the completely in the bin. Now be careful everyone- something fishy about this be careful - be vigilant - trust no one!! I advised the technician next time to inform me of what she was doing before proceeding. Without my consent, she collected my blood to run test without my permission. Shocking! Wonder what else is going on there. Be careful yall!!! I would be careful everyone- ask questions when not sure and always trust your instinct. This is a first time I know that a radiology place would draw one's blood free of charge to run a test without one's consent- they obtain consent for everything including asking and recommending test to charge your without insurance but somehow running test on my blood without consent is done without permission and free of charge. If this has happened to you don't ignore it speak up.

Do not use this facility. The people that work there do not follow proper procedure. On 10/11/19 I…read morewas supposed to have an MRI with contrast. That requires a blood test first to determine if I am was a candidate for the contrast. That is not what happened. Instead, they asked me to drink the three pints of cleansing fluid. Get into the gown. Have the IV inserted into my arm, and get into the MRI machine. After I was in the MRI for 5 minutes, they pulled me out and said that they could not give me the test. The creatinine level was too high. I completed my paper work and indicated I was claustrophobic. I am sure they did not read it. The cleansing fluid gives you the runs. I had to suffer through that too and never got the test done. I also questioned the waiver they asked me to sign about the contrast. The waiver made it sound like the contrast will stay in your system for months and years. I asked to speak to the radiologist, but they would only let me speak to the technician. A doctor has to be on premises if contrast is given. They assured me that the rate of incidence was .01%. Who knows if the radiologist was even on the premises or if the technician knew what she was talking about.

I had already spent 8 days in a hospital undiagnosed because the hospital didn't have an open MRI so I was extremely anxious and scared about having the procedure done. The staff was amazing though. They were very empathetic to my situation and did everything possible to put me at ease while in the machine. They gave me ear plugs so the banging noise the machine makes was tolerable and before I went into the machine they gave me a blindfold so I didn't see how close I was to the machine once inside and didn't feel claustrophobic. I definitely recommend them to everyone and for now on I will only use the Coram address for any radiology test I must have. Thank you to the amazing staff for making me comfortable when normally I panic and start to hyperventilate. You guys are amazing.

While trying to get an xray, he grabs my mother's injured wrist to move it, of course she screams. What a freaking idiot this dummy is ! I called the office to ask for another tech next time and all I had to do was mention my mother had dementia. ANOTHER DUMMY, who turned out to be the owner, says, get this, well, if she has dementia, she would react that way to anyone. Again, DUMMY. Whether she has dementia or not, YOU DONT GRAB THE INJURED PART ! DUMMY. AND.... not all dementia patients are the same so if she dealt with someone with dementia who wouldnt let anyone do anything, it doesnt mean they are all like that. The technologist that came to the home was prompt, introducing himself to my mother in a upbeat but respectful manner , engaging her in the whole process, explaining every thing he was to do next so she was not fearful of what was going to happen! He was very efficient in carefully setting up the equipment all the while speaking slowly and loudly enough for her to hear and comprehend( to the degree she could!) His very gentle and pleasant( but highly efficient) manner kept her calm. During the EKG,as soon as the leads were strategically placed on her bared chest he closed her pj top and quickly preceded with that exam.( sometimes, as with all medical tests, a bit of our dignity is offended but it's either that or get a poor exam result! I know all to well, I'm a retired X- Ray technologist that worked for radiologists that were exacting and demanded the highest quality images!) In today's increasingly impersonal world , it's refreshing to see a company that holds itself to higher standards! My second experience with this company ( my mother had to have an ABD/pelvic sonogram) was with an Very pleasant , efficient and caring ultrasound technologist ( to my happy surprise I found out she was one of the owners of this company!) She put my mother instantly at ease by gently touching her arm as she introduced herself. she also explained what she was going to do at each portion of the exam( ie. putting the ultrasound wand with cool gel on her abdomen before she did it so my mother wasn't startled ) Her soothing voice and calm manner translated to cooperation from my mom! ( and believe me, my mom is stubborn and uncooperative" to the max" if she thinks she doesn't like or trust you!!!). When she completed the sono she made sure that my mother was wiped dry of any gel and was comfortably back in her favorite position in her hospital bed! And another note worthy point.. SHE told ME the timeline as to when the doctor would get the test results...I DID NOT HAVE TO ASK HER! ( that's a rarity , trying to have people give me info like this is like pulling teeth !). I would highly recommend this great company if you are in need of imaging services that come to the home!

Dr. Dow and Dr. Green and great Chiropractors in Islandia. When I started coming here I was immobile and in a lot of pain. They took their time with me and let me move at my pace. Dr Gabe and Dr Mike in Melville are great as well. If you need a great Chiropractor either office are Great to go to when in need. The physical therapy is also a great with Dr Roland and Sosa, they are caring and bery helpful with your recovery, whether it is surgery or from an accident or workers comp ect. The staff in PT are phenomenal people and want you to regain your health and be fully recovered. They have the most up-to-date equipment with decompression for the neck and the back. It did wonders for me. If you speak Spanish then are equipped with several people who can help with translation. The front office are outstanding and polite. It is a nice clean office and nobody is pushing. They will help you with your questions and or concerns. Dr. Hildebrand is great with her pain management staff and can also get you on the road to recovery. I would never go anywhere else. I feel like Norm or Cliff when I walk in to my appointments because everyone knows you and makes you feel like you have been here for years. It is a pleasure and also a blessing to be able to have people who care and who want you on the road to recovery.
