They are horrible in this location. No customer service ived been on hold for over 15 mins then called a second time and now on hold for 10 mins finally I hanged up. I went yesterday in person for lab work and they told me labs is closed today because of staffing issues. I was like wtf. Who runs companies like this. Please don't come here. I made an appointment to bring in my daughter for her newborn check up. When I went to get checked in they refused to see her because she had straight medi-cal insurance (which was provided by hospital) I had enrolled her with my insurance through Molina and on Molina side she was good to get seen under my insurance for the first 60 days of life, even after calling Molina and having them chat with receptionist she still refused my daughter. Mind you she's 10 days old and they were giving me issues. So I ended up calling Mommy and Me and was able to get her in that same day with no issues of insurance. Will definitely not be coming back here and changing my provider. read more

This place of business is ran like a free clinic, except free clinics do not require that you provided them your Insurance card. There is serious neglect there. I've tried at least 4-5 providers and they always lack that personal care because we're all different with different health issues. You simply do not order labs and patient comes back for results. You get back home and say " they got me again" or your sent to a specialist and because you have another issue or have been in the ER the nurse practitioner forgets that part also they have an old Dr that clearly has been ready for retirement since I met her after moving down here in 2021 from Los Angeles, they are fake. Optum is willing to put the health and even life of their patients at risk for their Own Pathetic petty Greed. I was admitted to the Hospital on 7/30 for shortness of breath and chest pains and they did an echocardiogram and discovered I have a heart valve calcification and the Cardio Doc at the Hospital said It was very important that I see a Cardiologist in 1 to 2 weeks after discharge which was 7/31 . I call Optum 8/1 and they require you make an appointment to get a referral (Up to Optum, not the insurance company, I called and asked the Insurance Company). The soonest appointment available is 1 and 1/2 weeks to see a Nurse Practioner even though I told them the Hospital Cardiologist's Recommendation. (It takes 3 months to see my Primary, I see him once a year) When I get to the appointment the NP says the Hospital didn't send any records before the appointment but she will get them and I will have the referral in 3 -4 days in the mail. 1 week goes by and no referral so I call 11:30 AM 8/18 Monday and they give me the Cardio Doctors # (I get a call soon after this from Optum saying the referral had been returned to them BUT I did get 2 other letters from Optum last week?) I call the Cardio Doc and the referral has been sent as a routine visit so they cannot see me for 1 month. Sept 15. I call Optum back and tell them the Cardio Doc at the Hospital said I needed to see a Cardiologist right away. They say they will send a message to the NP. I am still short of breath and having symptoms. I call back and get the fax number so I can fax them the discharge paperwork from the Hospital with instructions to see a Cardiologist within 1 to 2 weeks and called to see if they got the fax and they said Rudely it could take 3 days to be updated to my Chart and they cannot tell me if they received the Fax? I say this is ALL unacceptable and asked if I could speak with a supervisor and was told this is just a call center and someone would call me back. No one did. Update: It is now Tuesday 11:30 AM(Tuesday 8/19). I am still having symptoms and I call and speak with the call center and I asked if anything has been done and no response from NP or supervisor. I said this is ridiculous and she said We have other patients? Pretty friggin callous. She then said you just called Yesterday? I have been dealing with Optum for 3 weeks now trying to get a Referral!!!! She said a Supervisor will call me back. I then called San Antonio Hospital and they said the Hospital Records were sent on 8/4 to Optum. My NP said she didn't have them at my 8/11 appointment . They were not requested by the NP after the appointment and were sent again on 8/19 after I called to request them. This is ridiculous!!! Edit: 4:12 PM and I just got a call from the Supervisor telling me they have gotten the updated Referral. I asked her to please just come here and read what I have written instead of repeating the whole saga. She was helpful and they made things right and I can see a Cardio Doc next Monday and I am grateful. Sad really. A heart valve calcification with presenting Symptoms is a rather serious medical condition and to me the Right and Moral thing for Optum to have done would have had an NP or a Doc read the Hospital Records with the Cardiologists recommendation and send a referral in a few days after I got outta the hospital....but l get it... the well being of the Patient comes second and the almighty Dollar comes first. They are in this to make $$$$. Would have been nice if they had at least handled the billing grab for a referral in a professional manner but instead they send me into their meat grinder of indifference and incompetence. Ghouls...from the Very Top Management...(Policy where they you need to come see them so they can bill for an appointment before you can get a referral) to the NP who doesn't bother to read or get the Hospital Records and overrules the Hospital Cardiologists recommendation down to the Call Center people who see you as a nuisance and are Very Rude. My sister had an appt today and was told to arrive 20 mins prior only to wait an hour and to be taken back by the most rudest MA ever . Talking over her and just rude . The African American NP Keysha Royster was also of no help and rude to my sister . They have scheduled her wrong 3 times all because their scheduling dept is incompetent. Stay far away from this place they do not care they are a corporation money over life's and health remember that . The Optum building holds a pharmacy, a lab, imaging, and urgent care in addition to their physicians. It is incredibly convenient when being referred for lab work or other workups by your doctor as you can get it done right downstairs. I saw Dr. Valdivia and I was very impressed with her thoroughness and attentiveness as she patiently listened to all my issues. The office staff are great and dealing with referrals was made a lot easier with their efforts. Worth the drive from Rancho Cucamonga! read more

The lady who does the ultrasounds is the rudest most unethical health care personnel I have encountered. She was aggressive during the ultrasound when she was speaking to me telling me my positioning was wrong. It appears as if she's mad that she is providing you a service. She even left the door open for everyone to see me dressing myself!!! I have encountered her more than once, but this was by far the worst encounter. My sister also has had these type of encounters when she is seen by her. I don't know her name but I am positive everyone will know who she is. Optum she does not fit in your health care facility, everyone else is very friendly. read more
