Our experience with OC Moving Services was a mixed bag. We planned a partial move (furniture only, no packing) with a pickup at an additional location. The person responsible for counting the items we wanted moved was still learning a new inventory system and took forever to complete it and ended up including items we did not want moved. Straightening things out with the estimator involved a lot of back and forth before reaching an agreed flat rate price, though we could never get a final list of all the items due to be moved for confirmation. Fortunately, Jessica, who stepped in at the last minute to confirm the move, convinced us an hourly rate might be more advantageous, and she was right, saving us a considerable sum. The crew who carried out the move, Josh, Anthony, and Tom, were terrific--friendly, efficient, and professional. I recently used OC Moving Services for a local move within the same apartment complex. Jessica, who coordinated the move, was professional, patient, and kind throughout the entire setup process. The crew--Juan, Joshua, and Joel--were incredibly professional and hardworking. What I thought would be a simple 5-hour move ended up taking over 9 hours. While the duration was unexpected, I attribute it to the long walks from my four storage closets to the elevator. Even though the day grew long and the physical toll was evident, the guys stayed honest and worked the entire time. The Good: Only one minor damaged item out of an entire household. Zero damage to the walls/floors of either apartment. The team was incredibly kind, making it impossible to stay frustrated. They offer flexible payment options (Credit Card, Zelle, Cash). Room for Improvement: I would love to see moving companies offer more "flat-rate" structures or do "mid-way time checks." I had budgeted for 5 hours, and suddenly needing an extra $1,000 at the end of the day was incredibly stressful. Thankfully, their Zelle option saved the day! I definitely recommend them. My only critique would be to please make sure the movers wrap every cushion of the couches. They wrapped almost everything.The mattresses were all wrapped up but my largest couch cushion arrived to our new apartment wet and stained with grease/dirt.
