Yes, so the name is a little off-putting in a city such as Belfast. However, let's forget all that nonesense, you certainly would if you spent a day in Orangefield Park. A sunny day in this park can be bliss. It's a favourite for dog-walkers and is, for the most part, well maintained.
It has sprawling greenery, a playpark for younger ones (or Chavs) and vast expanses to go for a run in. There is also a outdoor cycle track for those who feel inclined to use it and outdoor bowls for Grandpa.
I have only seen a positive side to the park, however do not venture into Orangefield park after 9pm, particularly on a Friday or Saturday night. I'm told, at night, it is a favourite for white lightening drinking, underage sex and gold jewelery. But just avoid going then (unless you fancy any of the above) and all will be well. read more
