Angel Place seemed pretty modern back in the 80's and it hasn't really been updated since then the flags and signs outside are faded and the plants outside are usually dead looking! The centre is on 2 levels with glass lifts up to the toilets and car parks. Shops in Angel place include Iceland, Wilkinson's, Adams, Superdrug, a Card Warehouse. The centre also has a shauls bakery and a cafe called Angels Cafe

It's an aesthetically pleasing, modern building with the shops partially covered by what look like massive tents above. There's a large, sometimes supervised play area here aswell in one corner (for up to 12 years old). It's not just shopping here though. There's a nine screen Odeon cinema and a large food court with Mcdonalds, KFC, Pizza Hut, Costa Coffee, Starbucks and others aswell as another children's play area. It's a great spot popular with adults and teenagers alike and you can easily kill a couple of hours wandering round everywhere. As well as clothes shops, it's also got sports shops, music shops, mobile phone shops and pretty much everything you could want. All at affordable prices too.

Its not a huge shopping center but you walk through it to get to the main street and there is always something to stop and look at

There is also parking behind Wilkinsons, which is cheaper to park in but does mean an extra 1 minute walk :-) There is also a market ajoined to the Rhiw with all sorts of stalls including electronic store, sweets, cafes and butchers.

It has a sizeable clothing department with good quality clothes, with brands like Eastex; I was particularly impressed with the range of men's polo shirts, expensive, but just something a little different. The cookware department of Trinity House has a vast range of items for the kitchen: saucepans, utensils, tea-towels, appliances etc. Arguably the best department in what overall is a great store, a little dated in parts maybe, but a purveyor of quality items nonetheless.

There are usually bargains to be found. It has a reasonable restaurant on the top floor which does cheap meals and has a view over the park behing the store.

My favourite section is on the lower ground floor and it is where they have the younger style female clothes with shops like Oasis, Dorothy Perkins and Warehouse, they have great sales on in here and it is well worth coming in for a rummage. This is also where I had my wedding list when I got married. They provide a great wedding list service where they send you off around the shop and you can scan everything you want for wedding presents then people register on-line for gifts and Debenhams send it all to you at the end, it couldn't be easier and was great fun!

Clark's village is a retail outlet centre in Street Somerset. The village is lovely to walk around…read moreit is clean and well maintained there are plenty of flowers, bins and toilets. There are several car parks at the village. The village is split into two parts by a road each part has a lot of amazing shop that sell retail items slightly cheaper than other shops. There is a next clearance, monsoon, Gap, lilywhite and of course, the famous Clarks shoe shop. Clarks shoe shop sells many good shoes at heavily reduced prices! The village is a lovely relaxed place to shop there is often a climbing wall and a roundabout to amuse the children. There is a large wooden fort play area, which is also a great place for children to left off steam!

This is an excellent outlet village except there is very limited choice on eating venues. All the…read moreseating is outside except for a Starbucks - so don't expect to eat here if it is raining. Picnics are fine and might be a better option given the lack of eateries. Apart from Starbucks other options are spuds, donuts, sandwiches and paninies from various street stalls. There is also a Subway and a cafe but these are further away off the village.

Now my mother brought me up not to be greedy - but markets have an effect on me, especially plant stalls, silver, faric and leather goods. There is every thing from bongs to veggies, bags to embridery threads, arts and crafts, gosh probably a beer stall too. Most of the vendors are very friendly - I always find plant sellers are on my planet! Some are a little indifferent but at least that's not going to ruin the fun. You don't need to leave lots of dosh behind, browsing is fun. And theres a couple of good pubs just nearby!

However it seems in recent years the turnover of shops has been quite high with shops often opening and closing and being replaced with other shops quite quickly That said its often interesting to see what shop next fills the gaps. The market contains a wide range of goods and the stall holders are always friendly and can answer my questions. There is a stall selling all types of material, the music one, one selling smoking implements and lots more. I enjoy looking round the music exchange one becaus you never know what to expect!
