There was a nice path around the school for walking. The only reason why they didn't get five stars, is because I know nothing about the school itself or the teachers . There were some nice big houses close by, so I would venture to guess that they have the budget to hire good teachers. That to me is the Crux of educational problem in this country people. If you have money, you have good schools otherwise you're screwed. How did this review at end up getting me on my soapbox...

When Bolton turned around kindergarten enrollment, emrolling double the enrollment numbers for the first grade class, the district rushed to shut the school down. It is now being rented temporarily to a district-wide school, but the district won't release the lease agreement under my Public Records Request.

I came here for a CYO football game. The football field is really nice, which I didn't expect for a…read morehigh school. The parking is a little crazy between games, but it all worked out. I love that they have CLEAN porta-potties, which is a relief. They had just been cleaned the day before. That makes a difference, to know they are cared about. I liked that we could stand on the non-dirt track to watch the game, I didn't have to worry about getting all muddy in the unpredictable Oregon weather. I also love the snack shack - I haven't been to one since I was in high school. Now, it would have been nice if my nephew's team had won, but he had a great time playing.

My son went to Garden's Noise and had a beautiful experience there; I highly, highly recommend it…read more Our son was provided with a creative and loving environment, where he felt secure and free to explore. He dug in the garden, painted, baked bread, learned about different cultures, sang, banged drums, built forts, danced, tucked himself into the reading nook to explore books, played with the rabbits and other animals who were a big part of life in the school, and generally just loved being there! The teachers were loving, supportive, and gentle. They also helped children learn about community. Our son learned how to cooperate, value difference, and support a communal experience. I will be eternally grateful for the deep thinking that went into creating the school, and for his two years of profound growth there.

The family…read moreI worked for had sent all of their children to The Garden's Noise Preschool; they loved the preschool and as I grew to know the teachers and director, I knew this was where I would want to send my child. A few years later I got my wish; when my son was 3 we enrolled him in this sweet, homey preschool. I cannot say enough good things about the teachers and director. Our son was a little delayed socially in some areas and the teachers gently, lovingly helped him to bloom. One of the hardest things I have had to do as a preschool teacher is to talk to parents about developmental delays or concerns, so when the director and teachers brought their concerns for our son to us, we so appreciated their kind and caring approach toward us as parents. It was discovered that our son had a vision disability which was treated with therapy. Because of their willingness to speak up, we were able to access resources early enough to ensure his having a successful year in kindergarten. As a professional in this business myself, I can say that this is a very special preschool. The space is beautiful, set up for children to play, imagine,make friends, create and explore. There is a sense of child busyness, the children are kept safe and well-nurtured. The expectations of the children are very age-appropriate and really prepared our son for kindergarten. As a parent, I valued their perspectives and how they worked to develop an empathetic parenting community. It was great for me, too, as a parent, to ask them for some guidance during some of those very trying times all parents experience. Overall, The Garden's Noise Preschool was a formative and very lovingly-remembered part of our son's childhood.
