Hummus with chicken
Si Si L.

I came here with a few friends for dinner at my friend's suggestion. We got there around 5, and there was no one in the restaurant. It filled up a bit more as we ate. I'm usually not a big hummus fan. I'll eat it if it's there as a snack/appetizer, but not as the main meal. I ordered the lamb hummus. It was very flavorful, and went perfectly with the fresh pita. The pita was warm and soft. I didn't think it would fill me up, but I was so wrong. Overall, I would recommend checking this place out.

Birthday lunch with my best friend! We had plans in the area so she picked Oren's Hummus for her celebratory meal. The food was decent and the service was fast. We came on a weekday afternoon. The restaurant is decently sized, cute, and super casual with indoor and outdoor seating. We were seated immediately and well cared for by all workers. My best friend and I split the Hummus Chicken and Australian Lamb Skewers. The hummus chicken was good and well seasoned with lots of hummus. The skewers were fine but only came with a few pieces of meat which were tough to cut into but were tender. The rice was fine but not too soft and the veggies were alright. I wouldn't be opposed to trying something else. Oren's Hummus is a fast-casual chain. Their location in Yerba Buena off 3rd Street is good. Street parking is tough but it's near garages and public transportation.

Pita sandwich is great! Lots loaded inside and a generous helping of hummus sauce Eggplant dips are delicious. there are 5 eggplant choices to choose from. If you order the chicken skewer plate (which is so juicy and delicious), you also get a choice of 2 dips. Also hummus and yogurt dip choices Beautiful space inside

To go. Chicken Schnitzel pita. Their.pita bread is super thick, soft. Choice regular or wheat. Their hummus is lovely. Service was super kind.

Go-to spot for delivery, work lunch catering or a quick lunch spot in FiDi. We usually get lamb skewers, salads, and I love the hummus sabich (with friend eggplant). They also have whole wheat pita. The restaurant itself is never busy, and it's also great to take to go and eat at Salesforce Park.

I could not have asked for a better dining experience at Oren's Hummus. My boyfriend and I had a lunch date after his conference at Moscone Center (just 5 minutes walking distance from the restaurant!) I've had Oren's Hummus on my bucket list for quite some time, but it wasn't until today that I had the chance to try their food. Everything we ordered was SO DELICIOUS! I'm a sucker for soft pita, and I was not disappointed when our waitress brought our pitas freshly-baked. We could see the steam when we tore the pitas apart! We also shared the chicken kebab platter (our 2 sides were the Israeli salad and beets), baba ghanoush, hummus, and a beef kebab a la carte. Standouts for me, aside from the pita, were the baba ghanoush and beef kebab! Would 100% come back again!

The best part is that walk-in brunch without a reservation is super easy. Bright and airy space. Decent food. Bottomless mimosas at the SF location only but found them to be mostly oj and too sweet. But fun alternative to the usual egg-forward brunch. The dip sampler is a nice mezze platter to share but wish they could swap out one of the three eggplant dips for something else. Really enjoyed the rice bowl with the beef kebab. Flavorful turmeric rice, moist meat, and bright herbs. Service was friendly. Pretty chill so you can hear each other but not an energetic spot by any means. Still good to have as a brunch standby in Union Square.

Aareyas- delicious!
Supriya C.

Enjoyed their menu special Aareyas today- with some Moroccan carrots and eggplant salad as sides- delicious and super filling. Also really great and attentive service. Perfect place for a casual dinner to catch up with friends. Enjoyed dinner and appreciate the staff for letting us hang out while they were closing up.

I only ordered the best hummus I have ever had. The jaffa hummus was thick and garlicky. A 100++. Had mt. Hernon white wine which was a perfect pairing. I am so happy I came. The staff explained everything checked in to make sure I was happy. Saw another patron about lick his dish and I thought I will be doing that next.

Large Israeli Salad

What a delicious meal of small plates and other Israeli specialties. A variety of silky hummus offerings, several eggplant dishes and roasted cauliflower make this a vegan delight. Israeli salad was classically prepared and the falafel was crispy and flavorful. My friend is gluten free and they had gluten free pita available. I took an order of beef kabob home to my husband and it was flavorful with a nice choice of sides. Israeli French fries are usually thick cut and these were piping hot with just the right amount of salt. It looks like they do a brisk takeout and delivery business and there are cases of prepared offerings to take home. When the server found out it was my friend's birthday, she brought over some lovely, flaky pastry.

I came in for a weekend late lunch, and had an excellent dining experience with service and food quality. The restaurant was pretty quiet, with plenty of indoor seating. The server was very knowledgeable about the menu as well as the kitchen processes. This was particularly helpful as I am vegetarian and I have celiac (strict gluten-free), so I worry about cross-contamination. They were very well aware of celiac, and how to make appropriate accomodations (e.g., separate area in kitchen, pita heated separately). I got the roasted vegetable skewer with muhamarra, jaffa-style hummus, and gluten-fre pita bread. Each component of the dish was wonderful! The gluten-free pita was soft, warm and fluffy. The muhamarra was a very unique dip; it was savory, red peppery and creamy. The hummus was thicker, and fresh with some pine nuts. The meals are on the pricier side, but I had no issues with any of the flavor! Overall, excellent choice for a nice mediterranean meal. However, a few days later I went for take-out, and ordered a gluten free pita sabich (eggplant) sandwich with a side of fries. Unfortunately when I got back to my hotel, I discovered they had given me a chicken sandwich instead. Due to distance and time constraints, I had to discard the sandwich, and ate the fries. I approached the restaurant later, and they handled the situation well, so I stuck with a 5/5 overall rating mainly due to quality of the dining-in meal.

I was in the area and happy to see a familiar brand I liked. I have been to a few of their other locations around the bay. The decor is similar to the one I frequent and the food was, not surprisingly, the same. I got a hot apple cider since it was a cold day which was a nice start. We got the sampler appetizer which was OK. The beef kebab was good. I got it with the labane and muhammara (had to pay more) which were both good too. Solid meal overall.w

I was brought here by a vegan friend, and the food was fantastic! I had the hummus braised lamb (not vegan), which was full of flavor and was more than I could eat in a single sitting. The falafel was also crisp and tasty. Even the lemonade I ordered was top notch. All told this meal was much better than I was expecting, which was a great surprise. If you like Mediterranean or middle eastern food, give this place a try!

The Stuffed falafel was so good and huge 1 is enough for 2 people. The mosabaha was very refreshing and so good. The meat combo was good overall and everything was very herbally spiced, I wasn't impressed by the lamb tho but the kebab, hummus, and chicken were great! I haven't had Mousakhan before so not sure how it should taste but to me it was sweet and savory with really well cooked chicken. I honestly felt pretty healthy overall cause I was eating hella veggies and everything tasted so fresh. The kunafa was good we got it crispy and was yummy imo but was a lil oily (I think this is normal tho). Arab food isn't really spicy but it is spiced and very herbal which I felt in the food here, I appreciate that chili sauce is provided for the spice lovers. Overall, would highly recommend. It was about $100ish for everything and they recently increased their prices but tbh the portion sizes are huge and I feel like it is so worth it we had hella leftovers. The lettuce and tomatoes made the wrap bland. The meat was seasoned, but everything was plain, so it needed more seasoning. Honestly, this was missing flavor! I'll have to add something to it when I eat the rest of this wrap at home. 2.5/5 HALF ROASTED CHICKEN AND RICE ~ Our friend ordered this dish. It needed more sumac. When we got there, it was extremely busy inside and outside, but despite the anticipated wait, we were seated within 5 minutes or so. As a heads up, the Cole Valley location is very small. There is seating inside and outside, but it is pretty loud inside (not that it detracted from our meal). We noticed there was a lot of take out orders coming through, so it seems like this place is equally popular for takeout, which makes sense given it's small size (they do not take reservations). We started off with the mezze sampler, which has lebna, muhammara, baba ganoush, hummus, pickles, and falafel. We all loved the sampler, although we noticed it didn't come with a lot of pita bread. Since most of our entrees were also coming with pita bread, it wasn't an issue. I particularly enjoyed the lebna, which was super creamy but had a nice tang that rounded out the flavor. The hummus and baba ganoush were also very good, and the muhammara was rich and had a great flavor. My mom got the falafel platter, my dad got the grilled hanger steak, my partner got the musakhan and I got the chicken shish tawook plate. My mom really enjoyed the falafel platter. It was super loaded with falafel, baba ganoush and hummus. The falafels were really good. They were nicely fried, but still had a soft and tender interior. My dad liked the hanger steak, which was cooked to a perfect medium rare. The green zhug sauce was interesting, and the freekeh had a nice nutty and earthy flavor. Our favorites were the musakhan and the chicken shish tawook plate. The musakhan had a really interesting sweet/savory spiced flavor, and was complemented really nicely with the caramelized onions, sumac, pine nuts and toasted pita. The skin had a nice crispness but the chicken was super tender. The chicken shish tawook was definitely my favorite. The chicken had an incredible, charcoal-grilled taste and was super tender without being dry or overcooked at all. This was the best bite I've had all year, and I loved dipping the grilled chicken in the lebna, muhammara, baba ganoush and hummus that remained from our sampler plate.
