************WARNING**************** I have used organo-lawn for 3 years and I am still getting weeds!!!! They charge me $3000 a year and as you can see from my pictures my lawn looks no better off than if I didn't use them at all. In the past I have brought up that I am still getting dandelions and other weeds that grow and am given a variety of excuses as to why. This year after bringing up that I was still getting weeds they told me I had to have another service which costs $500 to kill the weeds. I had just been billed $750 for pre emergent service which you can see from the pictures the weeds still emerged! When I first refused to pay for the service they said they would do the next service for free or if I refused to pay they would send me to Collections. I paid the outstanding balance but refused the free service they offered so they would not be able to respond to this review as they have in the past that I was just a disgruntled customer that refused to pay or that they offered me a free service. At the end of the day they say their service will incrementally get better every year but that's a farce it will look the same every year with weeds everywhere. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY FOR AN EXPENSIVE SERVICE THAT DOES NOT WORK!!! read more

Worst company I have ever dealt with. Very dishonest and very expensive! They tried to charge us $50 for a tiny brass drip nipple for our sprinkler system. When I called to question that insane price, that I researched before I made the call and found that they were only a few dollars, the office person Jen tried to tell me that her manager said the type of cap that they put on cost $50. They must think we just fell off the turnip truck. I told her we would buy a new one and hand deliver their tiny brass cap back to them, I told her we are not paying that ridiculous amount. She put me on hold and put her manager, Brad on the phone. He was very rude and again tried to tell me this cap was $50, I obviously disagreed and he finally said, "Okay what do you want to pay for it?" I said $5.00, I should have said less, but he accepted that price and said he would change my invoice. Unbelievable! Don't waste your time with this dishonest company. There are a lot of other companies out there that have better reviews on both customer service and results. I have now since read in the reviews that they're not even organic. Oh by the way, when they set up our schedule with particular dates for their applications, they show up on different dates, why give me dates for several months in advance if you show up on different random dates. When I asked them about that, they said their dates are just suggestions. Yet they told me to put those dates on my calendar. Whenever I set dates with my gardener for instance, that's the date he shows up. The management of this company is just awful. Zero stars! read more

after doing 5 minutes of research, this is NOT organic. They even state that they use a synthetic manmade chemical called Quinclorac. Hazardous to the environment - period. The MSDS sheet clearly identifies it as a hazard to humans, invertebrates, animals, insects, and other plants. read more

SAVE YOUR MONEY!! After $600+ and crazy high water bills we still have weeds and multiple areas in our lawn where no grass seed has taken and are just dirt spots. This company is big on sprinkler audits - we've had 3 with insignificant change to settings. When I called about the areas where seed didn't take I was told we would have to pay for them to spread the seed at a an additional cost for it to be guaranteed. Horrible follow up when we called about issues they sent someone out who confirmed the issues but just waited until the next paid service to deal with the weeds. Organo lawn is amazing! My lawn looks wayyyy better than last year. We started using organo lawn this summer and want a difference in the greenness of our lawn! When there trucks show they get right to work spraying our lawn making sure to reach every possible area. If I ask any questions to there staff they know the answer. I had some significant bare spots caused by the previous owner of the property. Contact Organo Lawn to get the yard squared away and greened up. The first seeding application was a rush job and not done correctly (I was told this by more than one of their techs). They did the sprinkler audit and was told everything was fine. 90% of the bare spots didn't take seed, and as a result I was fighting weeds all summer. Turns out the 'weed and feed' applications I paid for wasn't killing the only weeds I was having trouble with, so that was a bit pointless. The communication was pretty poor all around, but especially concerning the seeding warranty. They claimed that my sprinklers were the problem of the first round of seeds not taking, but they had 'certified' the sprinklers in the spring... I was never told I had to follow up with anything until I called in mid-August about fall seeding. By this time it was past the 'warranty window' for the fall seeding, so again, pretty pointless. I'd recommend looking elsewhere. read more

Scheduling the appointment was fast and efficient, much more professional than the small sprinkler blowout guys I've used in the past, who didn't even respond to voice messages to set up an appointment. Email communication before and after the appointment was thorough. The tech, Cameron Mera, answered my questions honestly about the direction I should take with our lawn and offered a few options for us to consider. He removed his boots before coming in the house and was overall helpful and quick. The cost was a good value for 2 sprinkler zones. read more

Have used these guys for several years to blow out the sprinkler system at the end of each season. They have always been very professional, helpful and communicate clearly. They send you instructions on how to do both start ups and blow outs & the techs have always been upfront with me that I can easily do this myself. This year, Ryan, was my tech and extremely helpful; it is worth it to me to have someone look at the system each year (we did discover a crack in a small component). I can start up my system each Spring but it is well worth a call to Organo Lawn for a blowout and quick check. I like that the company has really upped its game: email check ins & scheduling, polite and personable techs who show up ON TIME! and they ran my cc and sent me a receipt in about 24 hours. I signed up for Organo-Lawn's fertilization and weed control service in 2012, and watched my lawn get progressively worse as the season progressed. I called the office several times throughout the summer asking what could be done to turn things around. Their answers were that I wasn't watering the lawn properly, that rabbits in the neighborhood were to blame, and that it would take the entire season of treatments to get the lawn healthy and green again. They said if they were to come out and re-treat there would be an additional charge despite being on their pre-paid service and being dissatisfied with the condition of the lawn. We adjusted our watering and sprayed repellant for the rabbits and at the end of the season, I was sure that our previously healthy lawn could not be resusitated. Fortunately in 2013, I shopped around and hired a different company for fertilization and weed control. I followed my usual watering schedule and sprayed a couple of times for rabbits and my lawn began to improve significantly after the second treatment. Now that the season is over, I have the best looking lawn in the neighborhood, which is a good thing since our HOA wrote letters to other neighbors whose lawns were deteriorating. The owner of the new service I chose was attentive and turned things around. I would discourage my friends from using Organo-Lawn. Despite their great marketing, their poor service nearly cost me my lawn. read more

I have used Organo-Lawn for 3 years, and I recommend it to my customers. I purchase the Ultimate Smarter package with Synergy in the spring and fall. I planted this lawn with a high-quality bluegrass sed mix in 2006. I water my lawn deeply every 4 days, and mow it once a week. I have a thick, green lawn with a very few weeds around the edges (nothing in the lawn itself). This is a great product, but you have to follow best practice watering to get the best results. read more

I watered according to their sprinkler audit and their water schedule. I finally stopped service and took my lawn into my own hands. I fertilized myself with within 6 months, my lawn became strong and green again, and the weeds had gone away. I am now working on seeding all of the bare patches. I had Organo-lawn apply their weed barrier product on my lawn three times and the first two times went rather well as the weeds were significantly reduced. The third time they applied their product there were significant brown spots with dead grass. I called to have them come take a look and their rep was very helpful and respectful, and conducted a free sprinkler evaluation. While there were a number of minor sprinkler issues, he stated that it was obvious they over-applied iron in those spots and offered to rake the dead grass and plant new grass seed. I was informed after this visit that they were still planning to charge me for the product application and I was obviously unhappy and in disbelief. After speaking with their admin person, I received a call from their owner (Brad) and he said that the brown spots in my grass were due to my watering regiment, and due to issues with my sprinkler. He never took responsibility for the issues despite my multiple attempts to reference the conversation I had with their rep. While he offered to come out to do (ANOTHER) sprinkler evaluation, and stated he could make my lawn look great, I declined citing my complete lack of confidence in their ability to do good work, and take responsibility for their errors. Very negative experience - I would not use them again if they were offering a free year's worth of application. read more

I have had Organo- Lawn for 5 years and we have the best looking lawn on our street. I have received excellent advice on how to control weeds as well as watering advice so that I can conserve as much as water as possible. I feel good about using a product that will help keep my grass looking great as well as keep a bunch of man-made chemicals out of our streams and rivers. My parents have used Organo- Lawn since it started in Boulder. I am so happy that it is available in Fort Collins. Also they use recycled oil from local restaurants, like the Rio, to power their fleet of old CDOT trucks. Pretty cool re-purpose of what would be a waste product. read more

I hired Organo-Lawn at the beginning of the spring to improve the health and appearance of my lawn. I purchased the following services: 5/9/2011 Spot Spray Weed Control in Turf $56.50 5/24/2011 Emerald III Tall Fescue Top Seeding Package $389.75 6/6/2011 Smarter Weed Control $87.50 7/28/2011 Smarter Weed Control $87.50 9/1/2011 Smarter Weed Control $87.50 10/24/2011 Organic Fertilization $68.50 10/24/2011 Aeration $0.00 The total investment was $777.25. I felt that this was a little steep, but I wanted to support a local company, and I had no reason to believe the results would be minimal. The service technicians seemed competent, and they arrived in a timely manner throughout the summer. They were also friendly and professional. When we had our lawn aerated, I did not mark my sprinkler heads. This was my fault. I should have spent more time reading the FAQs posted on the site. The website states that you need to mark any that are more than 6" from the edge of the lawn. I had one that was 8 inches away, and I did not mark it. It was damaged, so I emailed the company, and the office manager simply replied that "we don't replace anything if it wasn't marked." The sprinkler head costs $7 at Home Depot. Not a big deal. Just not very good customer service. All of my sprinklers are located on the perimeter of my yard, and I have never had issues with other companies. Organo-Lawn does not take the time to check for sprinkler heads, and you'll be hard pressed to get them to replace anything. We noticed that our lawn began to green up after a few treatments, but the weeds were not really going away as quickly as we were led to believe. After the July application, our technician made the comment that our lawn was not really looking very good, and there were still weeds throughout our front yard. We had the whole yard reseeded, and there was very little evidence of any Fescue growing in. In fact, our problem area in front remained a problem area throughout the whole summer. We just had our final treatment, and our Fall aeration was done as well. Afterwards, I had my sprinkler system blown out, and I noticed that there were numerous leaks in my sprinkler lines. I emailed the office manager to request that someone come out to have a look, and once again, I received a simple reply of "we don't cover sprinkler line damage." She also stated that I will need to contact the sprinkler installation company, because the system was not installed properly. I think a company that stands behind its work would offer to inspect the damage, and offer a solution to get it fixed. Instead, I was just told that it's not covered. I will need to hire someone else to fix the line damage. I chose to use Organo-Lawn because they are a local company. I will not be using them again. After spending close to $800 to get my lawn in shape, I must now spend more to repair the damage done. I guess I'll buy a few bags of organic fertilizer and take care of this myself. I have been using these folks for about 3 years now and this year my lawn was covered with weeds the entire summer. I still have areas of stress in the heat and I don't see how they were making any improvements in my lawn. I also experienced a broken sprinkler pipe from their aeration so I'm moving on. Called them after a quick google search, as my 30 year old maple was suffering from chlorosis, a common issue here. Called and they set up the appt, sending an email to confirm my info and then the day of the appt another email at 6:30am, giving me a estimated time of 9:17am. Wow! Apparently they use software to optimize routing, and those initial customer service touch points gave me a great feeling. Working with all service providers should be this easy. Kyle gave my tree "the treatment" and was professional & courteous. I asked Organo-Lawn to recommend services and provide an estimate for those services to get my lawn looking good again. But instead, they provided and charged me for a "consultation" which I never asked for. When I brought this up they would repeatedly deny that they made a mistake in offering a "consulation" or at least that there has been a misunderstanding about what I wanted and what they provided. Now I see that they sent their invoice to collections. I have rarely if ever dealt with a business which shifts their own error onto the customer. The amount is small (about $ 90) but I think what they have done here is unethical. I should also add that when the appt was made, Amy, the person at the business office, said nothing about a "consultation" or that there would be a charge for it. Update (04/06/2017) I posted the above review on 03/21/2017 and the owner, Brad W., replied on 03/26 with a long sequence of falsehoods. Let me set the record straight. Contrary to what he says in his reply, I ordered services in 2013, 2014 and 2015 and paid for them. Indeed I trusted the business enough at the time to let them have my credit card on file. So, his claims in his reply that he provided free estimates for the last six years and that I didn't order any services, are simply false. His claim that they "would only come out to evaluate your lawn if you agreed to do a Disease Diagnosis / Lawn Consultation that cost $59.50" is also false. Moreover, I was NOT told that there would be this charge on the day I called for estimates of what services they recommend for 2016, so the owner's claim in this regard is also false. Trying to get Brad to acknowledge his error or misunderstanding has only led to his repeated assertions that he did nothing wrong and that I owe him for the "consultation" (which involved a guy coming out and saying the unraked leaves and the positioning of the sprinklers may have something to do with the grass not growing well). Had my credit card on file not expired he would have charged it in spite of my objection (he tried repeatedly in vain to do so). Based on his comment "once again we would like to go over what happened with you about your account" I called the business yesterday and was told Brad would call back in a few minutes (he was on the other line) but he didn't. He missed an opportunity to talk directly with me and be truthful. If he does that in the next couple of days, I may even revise this review in his favor. read more

It's possible that the products they apply are great, we will have to wait and see but their service leaves much to be desired. Of the services we had done, one of them was only half completed after the tech left and I received the invoice, though they didn't mention it. After inspecting myself and noticing an incomplete job, I contacted them to ask why and if they could credit me for half the charge, I would order the next treatment. Finding out the reason was like pulling teeth, but eventually they did confirm with the tech that they couldn't access the back yard with the equipment due to a narrow path (though other lawn service companies were able to in the past) and that they still had to charge me full price because it was their minimum charge for that particular task. Considering their prices are not the cheapest in town, plus I ordered other services, it would have been nice for them to only charge for the work they actually did. I was ready to become a regular customer, having asked to schedule more treatments, but after that debacle decided to take my business elsewhere. read more

We had Organo-lawn come out and spray our lawn for weeds. We had told them that the lawns were buffalo grass and rhizomatous tall fescue grass. A week after the application we starting noticing large brown spots in our lawn. In one area that we had just sodded this summer the sod now has large areas where the grass was killed. They may be great for Kentucky blue grass but they are not good for buffalo grass or rhizomatous tall fescue grass. read more

We keep beehives in our backyard and did not want to use pesticides for weed control. Organo-Lawn seemed to be the logical answer. They were! Our lawns look better than they have in years. Our backyard lawn is entirely weed-free. Our front lawn continues to improve. Although it looks pretty good now, I have no doubt that it will look even better next year. I found the Organo-Lawn folks to be very responsive, flexible and an overall pleasure to deal with. I cannot recommend this company highly enough.
