I love conversing with people. It's apart of my personality. When I walked in we were greeted by the nicest lady. She was so proud to be from the capital! Bogota! I loved her energy. We ordered chicharrón and it did not disappoint. The empanadas weren't out of this world, but everyone makes them different and I respect what I was given. Would I go out of my way to eat here? I went to this place for the first time a year ago. I stopped because I just needed a quick bite but I fell in love. They welcomed me and served me immediately. Being Colombian, I'm picky with my coffee but by far, the best coffe ever. The food is always fresh and delicious. I don't write reviews but for this place, I had to. They make you feel at home. We've been coming to this bakery off and on for the last few years, since we moved into the neighborhood. It's a small hole in the wall located in the shopping plaza that houses Advanced Auto Parts and Burger King. Hits: -Pan de Bono -Pan de Yuca -Alfajores -Empanadas Misses: -Mostly the service, which is usually dry and not very warm -If you don't request fresh out of the oven, some of the breads can be stale. Prices are OK. They also have some Colombian products for sale. This is a no frills bakery but goods are decent. read more

This is a pretty cool Columbian bakery. It has been here for many years and there are definitely reasons why it has been here for many years. I'm a big fan of Colombian empanadas. This place has been here for over 20 years. I would fo every Sunday for empanadas and pan de bono and all other great Colombian items. My favorite are the empanadas! They are the best because they are filled with meat and they're crispy as can be. Every time I'm in town I make a point to come to this spot. I've been coming here since I was a teen when the owner first opened. I can vouch that they make everything in-house, including their blood sausages which is my favorite not to mention their tamales for Noche Buena are super delicious! My gosh there's nothing like fresh empanadas in the morning. This place always makes me drool with excitement for their empanadas. I get both meat and chicken and both are delicious. The pan de bono bread is freaking so good that I instantly gain 5 pounds on each ass cheek from each bite. The chicharrones are the perfect combination of meat and fat and the sausages are seasoned so well, every bite is pure utopia. Now the sauce....yum, I love their sauce, it's a combination of vinegar, tangy, and nice spices, I can slurp it up just like that or dipping the empanadas or meat in it. It's always packed and has been around for years so that's a good sign. They also sell all different types of sweet Columbian treats and sodas. The staff is very helpful, especially since I don't speak Spanish and always welcome you with a smile, customer service is real big issue with me so I love the welcoming. This place is a must for a tasty quick bite. And you can always have empanadas throughout the whole day, not just breakfast. read more

i have gone to various colombian bakeries and restaurants. To be honest it has been the worst food I have had. The empanadas are full of potato , I know that it's a way to put less meat which means less money they have to spend on it. I called to ask that if maybe there are two types and The person who picked up the phone told me that it's made of potato and meat, that's the Colombian type of empanada. which I told the lady that I'm from Colombia and I'm well aware of how the empanadas are made and it's not suppose to have all potato , it's both. She said it's mixed in there and I told her I bought 8 of them and opened them up and took out just potato , no mixed meat. She said well oooo okay , started to talk to someone ,else which it's rude, and then was like I'll suggest it to the person who makes them. Thank you and hangs up. read more

The food is ok. Not too much variety. However the staff is not very friendly. A smile could go a long way for a small business.

Love this bakery, been eating here for over 15 yrs. They make the best empanadas and homemade spicy sauce. And if you haven't try their ban de bono, a must try, especially when it's hot. And also I love their cafe con leche made especially for me. If you ever ask for Jade's coffee, they know just how to make it(dark, hot and perfect). Best Colombian empanadas in Miami ! Every time I come here I always leave happy. They only make a dozen empanadas at a time so yes sometimes you walk in and have to wait but it's worth it ! They hand make them to perfection every single time and they definitely don't slack on the meat inside. You might think this bakery is like any other by looking at it from the outside, let's just say the shopping center isn't to appealing but don't judge a book by its cover! This is the BEST Colombian bakery I've been to and trust me I've been to several. This place has good food however terrible customer service. I walked in and asked for 6 pan de yucas and I asked if they had any fresh ones bc the last few that were left were burned. She said yes if I can wait 20 minutes. And then after 30 seconds said that she could not make any more until she sold the ones that were there and then walked away. I have worked in the restaurant business for many years and would never serve food to a customer that was burnt to the crisp. Maybe it was that one lady but she sure knows how to make a frequent customer never go back again. Every single time I go there no one is friendly except this one girl. The lady who attended me was very rude and tenia mala cara. I don't know how the owner of this place allows people to work here that will force someone to either buy burnt food or go home with nothing. read more

This place is the worst colombian bakery in Miami. They used to be OK but aparently they are struggling after the new restaurant opened in the crossings because I just went there and they gave some empanadas that tasted stale and were hard(como un cacho) The woman that is always there is the sister's owner. She was the one who gave me the old empanadas, overcharged me for some "quesito" and I am extremely dissapointed. I will never go back to this place. Maybe she got rid of her old empanadas but she lost me as a customer and I will make sure I tell all my friends and family to never EVER go there. I am so upset this woman took me for a food that I even signed up for yelp. If you want decent colombian food go to El Rincocito de Alex el Paisa at the crossings or to Macitas on Eurka.
