Amazing food! I ordered the yellow curry fried rice with chicken and bell peppers because many of the reviews I read raves about it. They weren't wrong. My dad had the Pad See Wen and loved it, as well. I love all the foliage and natural light. It's quiet but not to the point of being uncomfortably so. The service was prompt, courteous, and accommodating! Highly recommend for great Thai cuisine.

Small , hole-in-the-wall establishment near the University of North Texas campus was a great find for lunch. It doesn't look like much from the road but a Thai restaurant amongst dozens of bars, pizza and burger joints, barbecue and Mexican restaurants does seem like the odd duck. The atmosphere of the place was peaceful, and we could easily have a quiet conversation. The servers were attentive, and the wait wasn't long for the food and the food was delicious - the perfect amount of spicy. I'd gladly return to try other dishes.

Haven't been in the Dallas area for a few weeks, and was craving some Thai. Looked online, and found this spot. I was eager to try. You never know with parking options in Dallas, but thankfully this place had plenty of parking out front. I came in on a Friday night. There was no wait and we were immediately seated. The service was awesome. The inside was nice and clean. Everything about this place was a slam dunk EXCEPT the amount of meat in my dish. There was maybe 3-4oz of chicken in the curry (my plate). It worked out because I wasn't super hungry. If you are, get ready to order two plates! It was $27 for these two plates, which was pretty inexpensive IMO. Would love to try again.

Their strong points are the curries and stir fries. I've always enjoyed the yellow and red curries here. Today I tried the chicken satay but it was too tough and dry. The dumplings were ok. Service is friendly and quick and this is my fave place for lunch because it's only a 5 min walk from my office on campus. Ambiance is casual and low key.

Pad See Eew with tofu and vegetables, complimentary side salad

I ordered Oriental Garden through UberEats, so this review is speaking to the delivery experience not the sit down service. I got the tofu and vegetable pad see eew which was well seasoned and flavorful. It wasn't too salty nor was it too spicy. I also ordered vegetable spring rolls with peanut sauce which I would not order again. They were fresh but the rice paper was thick and difficult to bite through. The peanut sauce was very watery and diluted.

Great lunch spot by university. Stop by to try their take on Thai food. The food is very simple and good. This mom and pop shop is a great hidden gem in UNT area. Easy location to walk to from your class. Pad kee mow was on point. The noodle was al dente. I enjoyed the simple peanut sauce house salad. The tofu was fried well and paired well with light peanut sauce.

Crispy Noodles Pad Thai Calamari Ring

Service is absolutely amazing! All the staff are very nice and always check on you when you don't even ask. The food is a 1000/10 for my first time being here!! I got the calamari rings and the crispy fried pad Thai and it was delicious

One of my favourite places in denton. I go so often and just the service and food is just amazing. Environment is comfortable and service is fast. I always go for the BBQ Pork Fried Rice and its always great. I've tried a couple of their curries which is also good. I find the value of this place to be good but sometimes the fried rice portions can be a little inconsistent. Overall an amazing place and for sure worth visiting.!

For me, it leaned a little too quiet, but it did make the whole experience feel slow-paced and intentional instead of rushed. The space itself is cute and thoughtfully put together, simple without trying too hard. Service matched that energy--easy and natural. We were helped by both staff members throughout the meal, and they were kind, efficient, and attentive without hovering. The vegetarian egg rolls were crispy and solid, but the real star was the house sweet & sour sauce. I'm still thinking about it. It's that good. The green bean app was another win--crispy, flavorful, and super snackable. I personally would've loved a little more sauce, but that's a small thing. The Volcano Catfish (2/5 spice) absolutely delivered. Huge portion, perfectly cooked, and everything on the plate worked together. The fried rice soaked up all the flavor and held its own. This is the dish that makes the price make sense. The Pad Thai with chicken (1/5 spice) was a sleeper hit. Once you add the lime and mix everything together, it really opens up--bright, balanced, and surprisingly good. Only note for me--the chicken wasn't my favorite. Not bad, just not my preference. I'd order it again with shrimp next time (my husband thought the chicken was good). Overall, nothing felt rushed, nothing was missed--just a really solid dinner. Would I come back? Yes. Would I come back specifically for that sauce? Immediately.

I have eaten at enough sushi restaurants to know the formula…read more Step 1: Install bamboo. Step 2: Add a dragon. Step 3: Play mysterious flute music. Step 4: Name every roll after either a volcano, a ninja, or an apocalypse. Komodo Loco apparently looked at that formula and said, "Nah." This place has actual character. The restaurant is dark and cool without feeling like you're being interrogated. There are cozy little nooks everywhere, and somehow it manages to feel both laid-back and upscale. Like if a speakeasy and a sushi restaurant had a child who grew up with excellent taste. Then the food arrived. Look, I've had plenty of sushi. I've had good sushi. I've had "my friend won't stop talking about this sushi" sushi. Komodo Loco belongs in the last category. The fish was incredibly fresh, but what really stood out was that the rolls didn't all taste like slight variations of spicy mayo negotiating with cream cheese. The flavors were genuinely original. We ordered the Crispy Rice Bites, the T-Dub Roll, and the Horacio Roll based on our server's recommendations. The Crispy Rice Bites were so good I briefly considered ordering a second round before I had finished the first. The T-Dub Roll disappeared from the plate so quickly that I suspect it may have violated several laws of physics. The Horacio Roll was one of those dishes that makes you stop talking mid-sentence and stare into the middle distance while reconsidering every life choice that led you to not order two of them. Which brings me to our server: Breann. Or Breanna. I apologize for not knowing which one. In my defense, I was busy entering a committed relationship with sushi. My daughter is moving to Denton, and since we don't live here, we asked what we should order. Breann/Breanna immediately became the Gandalf of menu navigation. There was no hesitation. No "everything is good." No vague server diplomacy. Just confident recommendations that absolutely delivered. She was kind, funny, helpful, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. More importantly, she made my daughter feel at home in a city she's about to call home. As a dad, that meant a lot. I also loved how Komodo Loco celebrated Pride Month. Not because restaurants have to weigh in on everything, but because the atmosphere simply communicated: "Hey, you're welcome here." And honestly, that's one of the best things a restaurant can do. Good food fills your stomach. A welcoming place fills the room. Komodo Loco managed to do both. So yes, I'll be back every time I'm in Denton. My daughter thinks she's moving here for school. I think she's moving here so I'll have an excuse to eat at Komodo Loco several times a year. One of us is probably right.

It wasn't very busy at the time, but our drinks still took about ten minutes to arrive. We started with potstickers, which were delicious, and our little one's avocado came out quickly, which we appreciated. However, after placing our order, we noticed several tables seated after us receiving their food before we did. At one point, we were concerned our order may have been overlooked. When the food finally arrived, it was very good--no complaints there--but the wait was a bit disappointing, especially since most of what we ordered were appetizers. Overall, we'd still come back, just hoping for a smoother experience next time.
