We make it a priority to always eat here when we travel to Nephi. The food here has never let us down, and today was no different. Our servers were amazing, and in too of it. We never ran out of drinks and out food was hot and fast. I ordered Ma po tofu today. I love the dish, but have been let down many times from other restaurants. Not today! This was the best ma po tofu i have tasted. It was skillfully executed and an hour later, I still can taste it on my lips. Great job!! We also ordered sesame chicken. What a great for the mouth. Crispy chicken covered in the best sesame sauce. Not too sweet, and enhanced by roasted sesame seeds in top. We love the employees who take care of your every need. Even running our leftovers out to our car (we forgot on table). Keep up the great service and the great food. read more

After reading reviews and seeing this restaurant received 4.5 stars, my husband and I decided to get off the freeway and give it a try. Probably should have turned around and walked out when I used the bathroom. It was filthy. Toilet bowl was black. Floor was dirty. Drain in floor was gross. Employees were marginally nice. Food came quickly but was a great disappointment. We ate some of it. We were hungry, but couldn't finish it. The chicken in one of the dishes was mushy soft. Think this was the first time my husband did not ask for a box for the leftovers. Looking around this small place was not appetizing either. Looks like it all needs a good scrubbing. The outside of restaurant also shows lack of care. We hope they will take this to heart and clean up their act. read more

Came into Nephi after driving 600 miles-- was really looking forward to chinese food after a day of drive-thru, and since the reviews on Oriental Garden were all very positive, decided to give it a try! I ordered chicken lo mein for takeout, and while it is true that it was served quickly, the people were nice enough, and the portions were indeed very large, none of the positives can cover up the fact that the food itself was completely bland and was pretty much spaghetti with boiled chicken and a very small amount of brown food coloring. I had one lonely little sliver of carrot hiding among my noodles- not another veggie to be seen, and since the chicken was poorly cut, poorly cooked, and absolutely flavorless, I wasn't left with much choice except to throw the remainder away before it made my hotel room smell. Waste of money and time, and a very sad experience in all (from a person who has eaten a lot of lo mein, good and bad, in multiple states and countries). I guess Utah is not quite far west enough to be free of that Midwestern Curse of Bland Chinese. I would suggest to try elsewhere first. read more

We checked the reviews, ratings were good so we stopped for an early lunch. The egg drop soup was good. Food was plated good. General TSO was not really bready. Shrimp and garlic sauce was flavorful, the vegetables were a bit large. Egg roll was not too greasy. Service was good. We were greeted upon arrival. Water glasses were kept full. Prices were great too. We will work this in again when we are passing. I totally understand why every review says it was better than expected. Definitely better than grabbing a burger. read more

I guess we should have known....Chinese food in the town of Nephi and it was at lunch. I would say though the service was great, nice people, the prices were very affordable...the food was just what it is...ok. We have come to Oriental Gardens for lunch and it was a positive experience. Decided to try it for dinner on Valentines Day. The entree was good even though our soup was served after the meal . Unfortunately for my sweetheart I am unable to enjoy eating at a table that is grimy and the food server was overwhelmed so we ended up boxing it all up to go. We were on a long road trip. We stayed one night at the Best Western in Nephi City Utah - March 28 2016. The Best Western front desk person (Bobby) recommended Oriental Garden since in her opinion they had very good food ... plus they deliver to that hotel. So we tried it. Best Western even lent us cutlery, plates and bowls from their breakfast area to use in our room. There was a bit of confusion on the phone (a new employee) if they delivered or not - that was cleared up by the manager ... yes they do. We think they added $ 3.00 for delivery. We tipped the delivery guy a few bucks. For my wife and I we ordered (1) DELUXE VEGETABLE (told them to not deliver the white rice), (1) Chefs Special RAINBOW CHICKEN (with combination HAM FRIED RICE, SPRING ROLL, WONTON SOUP) and (1) Chefs Special HONEY WALNUT SHRIMP (with combination HAM FRIED RICE, SPRING ROLL, EGG DROP SOUP). The chicken special came with sesame sauce, sweet sour sauce and lemon sauce on the side. The food quantity was very good. The sauces were not too sweet - just right. The vegetables were not over cooked. The portion size was big ... too much food for the two of us to eat in one sitting. We finished the shrimp, about half the chicken and about half of the rice for dinner that night. The quantity of the vegetables was so good - that we simply washed off the excess sauce, put them in the fridge and added the vegetables into our smoothie the next morning. We peeled off the excess batter from the left over chicken pieces and added it to the left over rice and put it in the fridge overnight. The next day we warmed that rice and chicken mixture and the sauces up in the micro to have a snack before hitting the road the next day. After basically two meals - the only thing left over from the order was batter and spare sauces. No waste. Two very yummy meals for the price of one. read more

We've been eating here ever since Patrick moved to Nephi and opened it. We eat here at least 1-2 times/ week and occasionally more. Consistantly good and fresh. Pleased that we took other yelpers word and tried it out! The sweet n sour chicken is what our kids always order and no surprise they inhaled it! I ordered the deluxe vegetables and although they were great I probably wouldn't order them again... Just overpriced for me. My husband got the sesame beef and we were in heaven. I devoured it and grunted through my bites because the flavors were so great! Tender beef, sweet and spicy with a little nuttiness of sesame. Great rice, great sauces, and good service. We have eaten here dozens of times and every single time the food is fresh the vegetables are tender and the customer service is outstanding. Road tripping on the way to Great Basin national park, looked on Yelp for a place to grab some lunch in Nephi and the Oriental Garden came up as the place with the best reviews. The service was quick and friendly and complimentary won tons with a sweet red sauce were served as an appetiEr. This is certainly an American style of Chinese, I had the house Lo Mein which had chicken beef and shrimp for a good price of $7.50. I'd give three and a half stars if I could, but, sorry, to me this just isn't a 5 star place. I might pop in again sometime but it won't be a destination restaurant for me by any measure. We've tried other restaurants and fast food when passing through the town of Nephi, and have been disappointed. Tried this restaurant on a whim, and it was great! The value was excellent, everything tasted delicious, and the person on the phone/front desk was super nice. We got take-out to bring back to our hotel and they made sure we had disposable plates, forks, sauces, etc. The lemon chicken and pot stickers were particularly good--they packaged the sauce for the chicken separately so it wouldn't get soggy before we were ready to eat it.
