We were asked where we wanted to go ..... all passengers were more than happy to let Ben show us the best Mudgee had to offer ...... and being a Tuesday we were very happy with the 5 wineries we visited. We took off at about 9:15am and dropped off home at about 3pm .... door to door service .... you can't beat that!!! I highly recommend calling Ben for a booking if coming to Mudgee for some wine tasting or sight seeing ...... included is a yummy local produce platter ..... so no one goes hungry. I had the best time & now will taking great memories and an awesome selection of wines home. I will be back !!!! ..... 100 % !!!

Honestly, we were just checking the various seating options out, and the barman put the menus in front of me as I was getting a beer. Options abound for a meal, as available add-ons are shown as optional extras (with prices), so you can customise your order according to your appetite or budget. Most meals and burgers come with great beer battered chips - maybe the best we've had in Mudgee - and fresh salads or steamed veggies. None of the leftovers of offcuts served by lesser establishments. Don't be doubtful about the quality of food here; if something seems off or not as you expect, mention it to any of the staff there and I believe they'll be both concerned and eager to put it right for you. If the answer is 'Yes!', then I think you'll have a good experience at this venue. Linked with the lobby of one of Mudgee's oldest motels, you might think of demand-based opening hours and cooking standards. However, it looks like they want to encourage non-guest diners, as they post specials and promotions on their own Facebook page. The tables are nicely set up, with linen napkins and tablecloths, and real wine glasses rather than the less serious stuff of standard motels. Sure, service may at times be more quaint than quality, but they get the job done if you're not pretentious. Ooh, but the steak is sublime! Our 2-4-1 specials on a (unbooked) dinner Wednesday evening were faultlessly done as ordered - Medium Rare - and so much better than we've had in quite awhile. Meat is the reason you come here, and this did not disappoint. Local wine was generously served by the glass. I think this establishment is worthy of your consideration.

(If you ask for room 1 it has two connected rooms with a king bed in each!). So far as pub accommodation goes the rooms are huge and very quiet. Sure they're not the most modern but they have air con, a fridge and a kettle. There was also a TV but with no aerial connection it was as good as a door stop. It's also located smack in the middle of town so you can walk to anything you need. There's parking out the back near Woolies as well. The cleaners come in each day and just do a basic tidy - emptying your bin and replacing towels. But thats about it. If you want your bed made and things wiped down you're out of luck. The only downer for me is no wifi. But at $50 a night for an ensuite room and $30 for no ensuite its the best value place to stay in Mudgee. Plus what you save on accomm costs you can then spend on food and wine!

Friendly service, friendly locals, great drinks on tap and at a good price! Live music and footy kept us entertained as the beers(a few too many at that) kept flowing.. Don't get me started on the food. Oh boy was it absolutely golden. The chicken parmigianas on the first night were prime; chicken cooked perfectly. Cheese and sauce drizzled generously, and why not, even add ham! The pizza was also boss too, absolutely massive for the price you pay. That's fair! The steak also exceeding expectations-- cooked beautifully. I'll drive 5/5 hours out of my way to come here again. Brb windeyer.

Having come from Dunns Swamp in the nearby Wollemi national park from a starting point of Capertee…read more(Don't ask) we rolled into the picturesque little town of Rylstone hungry and thirsty. All you could see is beautiful old timey stained glass windows in the shop fronts and everything closed just after lunch. Ahhhhh yes, we're in the country now. Or are we? Have we gone back in time? It kind of felt like it. This place stood out as a beacon of normality in this otherwise dormant town. Maybe there is some time portal and this pub is the gateway to the present??? Although we had missed the bistro here at the Globe hotel we decided to stop in for a drink none the less.The group was pretty gutted as the grounds of the bistro really did look nice. Modern beers on tap further proved to me that I hadn't experienced a shift through time and space. but just to be safe, I did continuously check the photos to see if I would see myself staring back at myself from decades previously like in The Shinning. I didn't. Staff were friendly as were the patrons it must be said and with all the photos and jerseys around the place added to the community vibe the place was giving off. The place is definitely more than just a pub for the people who live here. We got a good laugh out of the framed one cent bet winnings that was framed in the TAB area. As blow ins we were made to feel welcome which isn't often the case in small town places But this place just had a friendly buzz about it. And in all honesty, the group was kind of sad to be leaving when the time came. It pretty much has everything you need in a pub stopping through including hotel rooms.
