Teriyaki Chicken Bowl with brown rice and sweet potatoes
Tisha R.

This is my first time at this location. We were in the area and stopped in to take friends to brunch before their flight. This is a perfect location. We made it after maneuvering construction in the area and just before the lunch rush. The entire staff was friendly and provided wonderful service. I'm familiar with the menu so explained the various menu options. Everyone enjoyed their choice. There were 2 breakfast wraps/sandwiches and 2 Teriyaki Chicken bowls. The footprint is on the smaller side but there's outside seating. The restroom is clean.

Last month, I went to the ASU Tempe Original ChopShop and had a negative experience where it took most of my lunch hour just to get my lunch especially after a substitution wasn't correctly done. My colleague finished her lunch well before I started mine. While it was overall a negative experience, I have been in touch with Original ChopShop and shared feedback with them and also was invited back to try a meal there again. I am pleased that my experience today was very positive and shows me that every restaurant has a one-off experience every now and then. When I arrived today just before the lunch hour, I expected there to be a line and a long wait though I walked right up to place an order where Brendan helped me customize a sandwich (ordering a Chicken & Prosciutto sandwich with the prosciutto being substituted for turkey). Brendan quickly caught on to what I wanted and ensured that the order was properly noted. He also told me about the seasonal lemonade (Strawberry Ginger Lemonade), which I thought might be too gingery though Brendan got me a small sample, and I liked it, so I ordered that, too. The sandwich and lemonade arrived in less than ten minutes to the table where I was sitting with the number they gave me. The sandwich and drink were both tasty, and I will be ordering both again soon. I also observed the kiosks being used regularly along with a lot of online orders showing up and picking their food up in a timely manner over the lunch hour. I realized also that my prior visit was the day after graduation when it was still very busy while today was a typical lighter summer day. I look forward to visiting again when it's busy during the academic year. I also wanted to share that the Chops Loyalty program is a worthwhile program, which you can read more about at https://originalchopshop.com/loyalty-rewards. You can use the Original ChopShop app to order ahead and skip the line, get delivery, save your favorite orders, earn Chops (points) with every purchase, and choose your own rewards. There are also exclusive challenges and contests at locations and through social media. Thank you to the Original ChopShop team for being responsive to my previous feedback and getting me back in the door. I would recommend this location based on today's experience, and I will certainly be back.

My friend and I came here for lunch on a Thursday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. There is a lot of outdoor seating and limited indoor seating. You will have to find street parking because there is no dedicated parking lot. I believe I ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl and it was really good! If you've ever been to Flower Child, the quality is comparable so you know it is really tasty. I liked that this place offers healthy and fresh options for lunch. Inside, you can either order with a staff member or with a self-serve kiosk. I wasn't too much of a fan of the inside aesthetic, but the outside was really pretty with plants and benches, chairs, and tables. I would come back here again!

Stopped in post workout at Orange Theory down the street. OG Chop Shop is a great spot. This particular location is located on the ASU campus and gets plenty of foot traffic. It's generally pretty quick and easy experience. I usually only go once in a while for a protein shake. My only real complaint about this spot is the smell!! When you first walk in it's a bit sewer-y. Is that a word? Well it is now. I've been to a few places that are like this and it's just unpleasant ambiance lol. But I'm usually in there and out. Plus, if I were going to dine-in I'd sit outside on their large backyard like patio. Cheers to your health!

More indoor sitting area.

As I was riding my bike, I saw this place and made a quick stop to try it out. Now, make no mistake: this place has so many healthy items on its menu that it should please just about any health nut. But my first experience was not that great. They had plenty of places to sit, whether you like to sit indoors or outdoors. I decided to try the "Glow Up Shake," which is their protein shake. The shake was okay; it didn't blow me away. Considering that it has banana, pineapple, dates, etc., I was hoping it would melt in my mouth with a galaxy of flavor--darn, no such luck. But like I said, it was an okay drink that I think others might like. Now, as for the $3 pre-wrapped Triple Chocolate Chip Cookie? The first cookie they brought me was hard as a diamond. I asked if they could heat it up to soften it a bit like they do at Starbucks, but he said they can't? Wow, I didn't realize that heating a Triple Chocolate Chip Cookie was so complex that it can't be done by some places. Anyway, the minor good news was he brought me a different cookie that was soft enough to bend and break off a piece and chew without worrying about breaking a tooth. But the big question is, will I be back? Of course I will; the place has a plethora of healthy food which I like. And I'm sure when I order something other than a diamond-hard Triple Chocolate Chip Cookie, my experience will be somewhat better. This place does have a fantastic Wi-Fi. That's a plus.

Really healthy, delicious options! I had the Thai salad and my husband had the steak sandwich. Sat outside in the nice patio! Only downside is the patio has pigeons.

Mmm, love chopshop! Great for to go, I had the hot honey chicken bowl and it's sooooo good! I also tried it with tofu which was delicious. Cute place!

We went during lunch time. The service was fast. I was able to order and find outside seating. They will be your order to your table. I ordered the Citrus Thai Salad: This is packed with flavor and has a lot of vegetables. Loved that the dressing had a spicy kick. For someone that loves spicy this is a great choice! This salad contains house greens, orange segments, roasted red pepper, pickled carrot, jicama, cucumber, green onion, peanut, cilantro, sesame seed, and Thai peanut dressing on the salad.

First stop after we landed in Phoenix was a hit. We were looking something filling but on the healthier side. I ordered the Thai Coconut Chicken Bowl with Quinoa and Roasted Veggies. The portions are generous and there was plenty to take as leftovers. The sauce for the coconut chicken tied the bowl together nicely. The only thing I would change is less onions in the roasted veggies. Would recommend if you're in the area!

This is a great spot to stop by if you are looking for a healthy alternative. The ambiance is great, a little crowded in the inside but they have a patio section to enjoy the sun- we came in a rainy day so unfortunately, we weren't able to enjoy it so we had to sit inside which was a bit loud. I got the turkey sandwich which was good but did not do chips or any add one and it was $12 for a regular sandwich. We also tried their bowls which the Thai bowl came with the best tasting sauce! The service was quick and polite- had no issues with it! They also bring you your food if you order in. They have a selection of some refreshing drinks as well! Would like to go again, but with pricey it is not sure you are getting your moneys worth

I have to say I'm pretty disappointed. Chop shop is one of the few healthy restaurants in the area, which is why my mum and I frequent so much. When we last visited they were out of cheese and grilled veggies. Bummer because I was really look forward to having a really filling bowl. The Thai coconut chicken itself was really good and I was happy about that, the service and the cute restaurant.

Red Chili Lime Shrimp Bowl GF
Amanda C.

Got delivery and everything arrived on time and well packaged. Got the chili lime shrimp bowl with brown rice, sweet potatoes, and roasted veg. Filled my shrimp craving and was delicious! Felt healthy and was very filling, I had leftovers. Also tried the chocochip cashew cookie and espresso cookie. Loved the chocochip but not really a espresso fan. If you like coffee it'd be good to try. Soft and chewy cookies.

We were setup in a separate dining area from the main dining room, which allowed for better conversation without added noise. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive the entire time we were there, which was a couple hours. The milk bread is an absolute must! It's so pillowy soft and the flaky sea salt perfectly compliments it. I ordered the Wise Decision cocktail, which was refreshing. For my entree, I had the shishito Caesar salad and was advised I could add a protein from their skewer selection of chicken, pork belly or oyster mushrooms. I asked the waitress about the chicken and she advised that they are smoked and will appear pink from that, so not to be alarmed, but are moist and really flavorful. While the filet was tempting (and what everyone else at my table ordered), I wanted something lighter. Thankfully I was not disappointed in my selection. The chicken was as delicious as described and could be cut with a fork. The Caesar salad was well dressed, but not soggy. Do I think it was worth the money to add the chicken? Not if I were paying, but since my company paid for it, I think it was worth it. This is a great spot for a date night or special occasion.

We arrived in time for sunset, and it did not disappoint. Watching the sunset over the Phoenix skyline made for a beautiful evening, and the restaurant itself has a unique atmosphere. We had a 7:30 reservation and were checked in right on time, we were seated outside, but there was very little shade, and unfortunately it was a hot, humid, and windy evening, so it wasn't the most comfortable dining experience. Our server, Sergio, was friendly, but we had to ask several times for water refills. One of the highlights before the meal was the complimentary bread service. The bread and butter were delicious, and the staff member who brought it out took the time to explain each item on the board which was a nice touch. The food was good. The 8 oz filet mignon was cooked perfectly and was the highlight of the meal, tender, flavorful, and worth ordering. We had enjoyed the desserts. The chocolate mousse was rich and creamy, and the Pavlova was light, fresh, and beautifully presented with berries. That said, the outdoor seating wasn't quite as relaxing as we expected. It was pretty windy the evening we visited, which made dining outside a little uncomfortable. The resort Pool is directly below the patio, and there happened to be a party going on, so there was quite a bit of noise. The restaurant also overlooks the freeway. Traffic wasn't heavy during our visit, but I imagine the road noise and air quality could be more noticeable during busier times. Overall, if you are looking for a scenic dinner with a memorable sunset, top of the rock is worth visiting. My girlfriend loved the views, but if I'm being honest, I was a bit underwhelmed. I'm from San Diego and I've seen far better. A view overlooking the freeway just isn't all that impressive to me personally. Still, I've passed this place on the freeway so many times and always wondered about it, so it felt special to finally check it off the list. We arrived about 10 minutes late, and I'll say the host that greeted us was a bit rude. We waited a few minutes before he took us back to our table. I will say there's an odd smell when you first walked in and I'm grateful that we sat outside. Once we sat down though, our waitress was attentive the entire night. We started with the charcuterie board, which honestly felt a little basic to me. The smoked Gouda was fine, but I would've preferred something sharper like an aged Gouda, and a more thoughtfully curated spread overall. The meats were okay, nothing that really stood out. On the drinks side, I tried two. The berry limeade was absolutely delicious, highly recommend that one! The traditional margarita though? Not it. Way too sweet for my taste. I don't think most Americans really know what a true margarita is supposed to be. I was hoping for something less sweet and more authentic. It is what it is, I drank it anyway (more because of the price than anything). But the entrées? Spot on. My girlfriend got the Miso Glazed Sea Bass served over potato purée with asparagus and a citrus beurre blanc. She said it was delicious. I had the Seasonal Ravioli with grana padano, white truffle oil, and added wild mushrooms on top. Incredible flavor, did not disappoint. I will say though, the ravioli plating wasn't all that appetizing. The sauce color came off bland and boring, and a little garnish like some micro greens on top could've gone a long way to elevate it. For a place like this (and the price), I expect the plating to be just as on point as the flavor. I'd say the same for the table setting, lighting and cleanliness of the table, I'd really rate that C level. Our waitress surprised us with complimentary champagne for the birthday, which was such a sweet touch. No clue what it was, but it was so good she ordered a second glass. They also brought us a small dessert that said Happy 40th Birthday for my girlfriend, which was really thoughtful. And the sunset? That part was genuinely beautiful. We got some great photos. All in all, a decent experience overall. It's pricey, and not somewhere I'd rush back to, but for a special occasion every now and then? Worth it to my GF and that's all that matters at the end of the day because it was her birthday celebration.

Came for lunch because the last time they gave us a coupon for $5 off. Tried the nachos…read moretoday......... And the QUAD MELT which seems to be every one's favorite. It was so good we ordered another one, and then we ordered one to go for our son. Nachos were very good I recommend adding chicken. *OH MY LAWDY THE SWEET POTATO FRIES ARE 100% the BEST I've ever had anywhere. They are sooooooooo sooooooo good! Might come back just for the sweet potato fries. *I did find out today that they use seed oils for their food. So while it is top notch and delicious and unique, it'll probably be avoidable for us in the future.

I will start by saying I usually love this place, but today it was not so perfect…read more.. I ordered the Perfectly Grilled Cheese with sweet potato fries as the side. The bread on the sandwich was tough, the bacon bits were chewy, hard knots, and the sandwich was dry overall. The sweet potato fries were greasy and tough and not hot. Nothing about what I ordered today was good with the exception of the appetizer, which was the Crisp Korean Brussels and Cauliflower. It was hot, delicious and plentiful so I did not go hungry. Our server was friendly and prompt. He was very quick to refill my drink. I will say that both my chair and our table rocked terribly, so was not very comfortable. Hoping for a better experience on my next visit.
