The staff were friendly enough, but never asked how my food was so I didn't tell them. I feel very disappointed in my experience here. They have a large selection of nachos so I tried them. Weirdly enough it's all chicken based but honestly, it felt like a 10-year-old made my nachos. Almost no meat of the affirmed frozen reheated variety- and it wasn't what the young staff said it was. She said it was "grilled chicken breast cut up." It was a breaded frozen patty and not much of it too. A handful of shredded cheese un-melted from its quick pass in the microwave hiding under a whole bunch of wet iceberg lettuce and one or two small pieces of jalapeños. This was really just a suggestion of nachos. But for $15, I would've expected something more quality. Perhaps if I had gotten a coffee and a pastry and played a board game this place would've been the bees knees. I would not suggest it unless it's the only thing open which on this Sunday in Potsdam, which it was. Update: I just read the other reviews for this place. I should've read them prior to coming as I would have looked elsewhere. They really should do better. It could be a wonderful spot. The menu is extensive. If you can't prepare a lot of food well, don't. Try preparing smaller menu VERY WELL. IMHO UPDATE 2: I had upset stomach all afternoon and evening within an hour of eating here

We picked out several items to bring home: a scone, lemon cupcake, chocolate cupcake, a chocolate raspberry parfait, a raspberry bomb, and a brownie with peanut butter icing. We also both each got a smoothie, one blueberry, honey, Greek yogurt and a strawberry banana. Unbeatable flavor with the smoothies. So many different ingredients and the price was very reasonable! The treats were so very good. The peanut butter icing on the brownie was a little too sweet for my taste but omg still so tasty. The raspberry in the parfait was also too sweet (for our taste) but again, the flavor was SO good. I could not believe how tasty all these things were. I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for something sweet and gluten free. It's so hard to get a really good gluten free treats around here and this is the place you can get them! This is my new favorite bakery! Also.. LGBT+ love and inclusion. They also do lunch items that I haven't gotten to try yet, but such a reall, REALLY tasty looking menu for those. I'm looking forward to going back and trying more items!

Everything had a strong taste of overwhelming acidity and sourness. My dining party got tacos, quesabriras, and the enchilladas. Only 1/3 items were enjoyable and all dining members said they would not return. The value for your money is also not great. Would not spend $25 for 3 tacos where you wont enjoy them....

The restaurant has two locations, the original one on Cadboro, which I've been to before, and this newer one on Wellington West. I feel that this location on Wellington West is a bit "hipper" and "cooler" yet more commercial. The Cadboro location, I found more like a family eatery and had more of a mom and pop feel. I got 2 tacos ($6.50 each), the barbacoa, and the chicken mole. My friend got 2 chicken quesadillas ($8 each). Both the tacos and quesadillas were really small, much smaller than I expected for the price. The barbacoa taco was pulled beef topped with onions and cilantro. The beef was tender and the seasonings were tasty. The chicken mole taco was topped with shredded lettuce, cheese and a white sauce. The mole sauce was sweet and had a strong chocolate flavour. The taco shells were corn tortillas and they give you double shells. I had to eat my tacos with a knife and fork because they fell apart when I tried to pick them up. My friend also had to eat her quesadillas with a knife and fork. Service was very pleasant. We got a glass bottle of water for our table. Our server checked up on us appropriately. Decor is very cool and colourful. Lots of Mexican items around. The restaurant in this space before Taqueria La Bonita was also a Mexican restaurant (the very short lived, La Cocina Loca), and the restaurant before that was also a Mexican restaurant (the second location for Ola Cocina, sadly it closed, but the original Ola Cocina in Vanier lives on). Prior to that it was Zazaza (a pizza place). I looked at their drinks menu and they have lots of creative and delicious sounding (and expensive) drinks. They have some sofa like chairs and the back of the restaurant has a more loungey feel. Overall I felt that the food was good, but too pricey for me, as I could have easily eaten 5-6 tacos and $30-$40 for a taco lunch is too spendy for me.

However, I noticed Popular Pizza had opened up next door. I was on the hunt for bubble tea and not pizza, so I made a mental note to return one day to check it out. That day finally came in December (2023). And I'm kicking myself that I waited so long! I got the $19 walk-in special, which was a large pizza, 3 toppings and a dip. Three years ago I would have laughed and said "that's not a deal!" But times have changed and unfortunately that is now in fact a deal, lol. I should mention that that price is inclusive of tax, so it's even more of a deal, haha. I got green peppers and butter chicken as my toppings (butter chicken is a premium topping and counts as 2 toppings). And I chose the Chipotle dip. The wait was about 20 minutes. And service was friendly and efficient. The pizza was fantastic! I like that the crust is thin and crispy and they spread the sauce and toppings all the way to the edge. The pizza had a potent butter chicken taste and they were generous with the toppings. Lots of cubes of lean chicken breast and diced green peppers. It tasted like a true Indian-fusion pizza. So tasty. My husband and I really enjoyed it. The place is strictly takeout. No eat in. There are 3 chairs to sit and wait for your order, but you can't really eat there because there are no tables. They sell pizza by the slice, so I guess you could sit at one of the chairs and eat your slice, lol. Free parking available in the plaza parking lot.
