We had bats in the attic and they were somehow getting into the house. Yikes! We searched for local companies (we live in a town of around 50,000 people) and Orkin said in their ad that they handled bats. My wife drove over (short drive) to the Orkin office and talked to Vince, the Service Manager. Vince came out THAT DAY and spent 2 full hours inspecting the house's exterior and then did a very thorough attic inspection. Vince came by THE NEXT DAY with a very thorough analysis, including photos, of what was happening and the cost to fix. Vince showed up for both appointments exactly on time and even wore booties to cover his shoes. The repair team showed up on time and did a great job. We even tacked on some additional work (gutter screens). Our experience with Vince, the team, and Orkin was excellent. read more

Absolutely worst service imaginable. SALINA KS tech Vince shows up late, half asses inspection, didn't even get fully into attic. Saw bat guano saw an infestation of bats and their bugs and took 2 weeks to get a report together that mention nothing of what he found but what he wanted to charge to perform work for something he fails to mention why. Then claims only the branch owner can verify. After speaking with multiple staf members im told the manager who also owns the place would be talking to me next, who answers but Vince, the same dipshit that couldn't identify the bug and needed to speak to his boss whom he claims is him. So now we're waiting on Vince to have a talk with himself to identify a bug found with the bats, all before we can get anything done. Here up Vince. I'd like to start with saying I am editing my review. But I will be leaving the previous, so people know what I went through in order to get good service. Now, a new guy regularly shows up. He calls ahead of time and if we have problems they show up. The only remaining issue I have is, we have signs of termites and that's a different area. While the guy who exterminated has constantly promised further review and updates on getting the termite issue taken care of, I haven't actually heard from Orkin. Again, I've tried several times to reach out without any assistance. ............. Orkin of Salina is by far the WORST company I have ever dealt with. They were more than happy to preform the first service, get our money, and promise to uphold their end of the deal. Our problem: Brown Recluses. I'm talking we have an infestation of them. Orkin promised extermination and that if we had further problems, they would take care of it. The exterminator himself was kind, and worked fast. He was thorough with instructions and walked us through the process. I am arachnophobic. I also have three small children, and an elder living in home. My worries were that someone might get bit. They promised that Brown Recluses would be taken care of. Fast forward three days: found a dead spider. Yay, this must be working. Wait, no, I found more live spiders. We called Orkin. No one ever called back No one came back. Nothing. Fast forward a month later. On average we find 7 to 10 adult brown recluses in the house A DAY. I am not exaggerating. The problem has gotten worse. They're everywhere. Ceiling, bathroom, cabinets, stairwells, corners, under furniture, in backbacks, in closest, in clothes. We have called at least once a week, with promises that we would get a call back from the manager, or get a service worker out here. We have gotten nothing but the runaround. I am disgusted with Orkin, and am making sure I let anyone I know (PS I know a LOT of homeowners..) Not to utilize these services. Thanks for NOTHING Orkin. I'm 99% sure you just sprayed water in my house, didn't bother with the extensive care you promised. read more
