So there we were, out for a Sunday drive, following the Sun and Snow, and we came across a town…read morewith a beautiful waterfront area. We followed the tree-lined park and at the end was this brick and mortar restaurant. It looked promising so after our jaunt around town, we returned for a late lunch before heading home. We parked and walked in, hoping for the best. An Irish Pub is VERY rare in these parts of Poland so we were (I was) ecstatic! Thankfully the waitress was very nice, hesitant at first but she looked over her seating chart and reservation list and found us a tiny table in the middle. I was elated. They had Kilkenny and Guiness on the menu! Wow!!
So we sat, enjoyed the view of the lake just feet from us and sipped on some Guiness and potato/leak soup. It was interesting...not thick like a traditional potato soup but it was still very filling. The inside is absolutely beautiful with a lot of wood carving, gorgeous decor, and the view of the lake and surrounding area. Its a tad pricey for Poland but its unique and a great location so I understand. The service was above par. Sadly its an hour drive one-way but I definitely shared the location with friends. St Paddys day is coming up so this is the perfect spot to enjoy it! Also, I'd love to explore the menu to see how the rest of the food measures.
If you're American, looking for an Irish pub that you typically find in America, this is it! After dining and drinks, take a walk around the area, its gorgeous. A very long walking path on the lakeside with plenty of trees. A hotel is nearby so definitely don't drink and drive.
