Our children often brought up concerns to staff but were consistently dismissed or ignored with little to no follow through. Over time our kids stopped speaking up, having learned it fell on deaf ears. Discipline was applied inconsistently with consequences depending on a family's connection to the administration rather than the conduct itself. When our special needs daughter was physically attacked by a younger student, the student was shielded from consequences outlined in the school's own handbook. The moral of the environment among students was not consistently in line with Catholic teaching and conduct was often not addressed. We were loyal to this school through a lot a friend our best to make things work. Sadly. it just continued to get worse.

Cruel and cold hearted person many parents talk about her poor behavior and communication and simply put up with it because their child is being taken care of however I would urge you to ask to talk to other parents in the community before committing to the school. Your child might be taken care of well but thats doesn't mean you won't have problems with the administration who runs it. Many parents complain about her inappropriate communication and strong opinions on how to parents and raise their kids. Over the years many parents have left or she has dismissed the students without any notice or logical reason, many reasons not due to safety or behavior but because she wanted too. Very little checks and balances at the school. Many working families left to scramble and find childcare because she simply decided you don't belong there any more. Good luck working with someone with a low emotional intelligence and level of compassion.

While the school has a…read moresolid reputation, I left disappointed.  Not only in the education my daughter received, but also the overall attitude of the staff and unprofessional communication.   Communication from the staff was often unclear and inconsistent. I found myself acting on their recommendations, only to have them recant those suggestions when it was convenient for them.  It felt like I was being gaslit.  At times, my daughter's provider recommendations were not followed.  They would state my daughter was the only child not napping as an example, but yet there was a room full of children not napping.  They stated my daughter didn't have friends not knowing that we played with kids from class on regular basis and still do to this day.    A particularly memorable incident that encapsulates my experience occurred on Halloween. My daughter was thrilled to wear her light-up princess dress, exuding pride and excitement as she arrived at school. However, the teacher checking in students remarked, "wow, that is distracting," in an annoyed voice, which was incredibly deflating for my daughter.  I think my daughter picked up on that she was not liked by the staff and that impacted her.  The overall lack of smiles or morale didn't seem good in my experience.   Changing a child's daycare/school setting can cause a lot of disruption.  That is the only reason why we stayed as long as we did and tried to make it work.   On a positive note, Soccer Shots, Wee-Move, and Piano teachers/coach were great.

This school removes negative reviews to inflate their rating on Facebook. My family did not have a…read morepositive experience and we want to share this experience with others so additional families do not face the treatment we did. Our infant was averaging 3 accident reports a week (see my husband's review and profile photo of a black eye and mark on his forehead which he suffered during the morning at the school. We were not alerted about this until the afternoon. On the same day they sent home his lunch untouched.) The school director in her email to our family after this series of problems cracked the following joke and wrote in her email "I hope he is sleeping peacefully and ate a full dinner." School leadership was unprofessional and bullying toward our family, and upon further investigation we found MANY families who had recently left or been "asked to leave" due to the mismanagement of this childcare facility. Being a "true" Montessori does not excuse unprofessional behavior and safety concerns of our child. The director herself is not AMI certified. Another family had their child receive the wrong mother's breast milk and the director made a joke about this incident as well. Many negative reviews have been removed due to similar complaints and at least two of the reviews still active are from board members of the school who's children no longer attend.

My two year old son came home once and told me about kookaburras and I was absolutely floored. There are extra dance/gymnastics lessons held at Little Newtons as well, if your child is interested. Children (pre-schoolers and up) create hundreds of art projects for you to take home or put in your office. Also, compared to other childcare options in the area, this place is SO AFFORDABLE! If you have more than one child, there's a 10% discount on each additional child! I recommend this place to every parent I know, I love Little Newtons!
