Even getting an appointment required significant persistence--calls were rarely returned, and I had to call at least 10 times just to schedule my first procedure. After weeks of no response, I showed up in person without an appointment, which I've never done before in my life, but I was desperate for a response. They were able to see me the same day, which I appreciated--but it caused major inconvenience since I hadn't planned for a driver (my husband had to drop everything and leave work to come and get me, as it was required). Cried due to the stres it caused for myself and my husband. Office manager during my appointment printed off the call log and showed me that they had received my calls. No one could explain why no one responded to my attempts to schedule an appointment. The procedure provided little relief. At my follow-up visit, I waited 45 minutes past my appointment with no acknowledgment or apology. Then, a nurse spoke to me in a berating manner. I was so upset I ended up crying when the doctor came in. I am not a cryer, so this was twice in a handful of weeks that I'd done so, here, due to my experience with this office. Trying to continue care was just as difficult--again, weeks of unreturned calls. Second procedure at a surgery center. During the actual procedure, both the doctor and nurses yelled at me. Literally while I was on the table. At that point, I decided I could no longer tolerate being treated so inhumanely. I was in severe pain and did not deserve to be ignored, berated and yelled at during office visits and in the middle of medical procedures. Overall, the lack of communication, professionalism, and basic respect made this an incredibly distressing experience. They need an overhaul of their office operations as well as intensive customer service training. I will not be coming back.

The team quickly identified a solution and used imaging to ensure the medication was placed exactly where it needed to be. The results were incredible--within about three hours, I was walking through the airport with my suitcase and heading off on vacation pain-free. Thanks to them, I was able to fully enjoy my trip. At my follow-up visit, I saw Sarah Thomas, who was a fantastic listener and took the time to offer practical ideas for minimizing pain going forward. She also recommended and prescribed a supplement to support nerve healing, which made a noticeable difference--the odd sensation I had in the ball of my foot has significantly improved. From urgent care to thoughtful follow-up, the care at ASCPM was professional, precise, and genuinely compassionate. Highly recommend. The office is very professional and friendly. The waiting room is comfortable. The front desk was patient and happy to help me look up some information.

I have been a patient of Dr Gordon and New York Pain Management for over 15+ years. He is, by far,…read morethe best Pain Management Dr I have ever seen (and I have seen many!). He is caring, takes time with his patients and most importantly, he takes his time with procedures. I moved from New York to Florida 5 years ago and still keep him as my primary Pain Management Doctor. He is worth the 1800 mile trip because he is THAT good. I tried to find a doctor in my area, but it is impossible. No one else will take the time , or effort to listen to you and then try to help you with your problems. I don't want narcotics thrown at me, I want something to help with my pain to help me lead a semi-normal life (in between procedures). I understand that nothing is a fix, but I am a realist and know that these procedures are here to help me live my best life. He has helped me more than he will ever know. Staff come and go in every office, but he is the constant i rely on.

When I arrived for the appointment they told me they where going to put an epidural in my neck. Once I got them straightened out the doctor marked the left side of my back for the procedure. Once I got that straightened out. On January 17th I went to see the same doctor for a set of nerve deadening shots in my lower right back again the doctor came in marked my lower right back , then proceeded to put the nerve deadening agent In my lower LEFT back. I am still in pain I wasted at least three months trying to have something done for the pain I deal with on a daily basis.

I am a "difficult draw" because of my small arteries. The staff member who did my MRI put the IV in skillfully on the first try which does not always happen. Thankful for her expertise! 2. The MRI was 20-25 minutes long and noisy. I had to wear a headset. She gave me a much appreciated and needed break after 10 minutes. There were lots of recorded holding your breath prompts through the test. 3. I received assistance getting off the table and placed in a wheelchair for a few minutes. The PA Emily stopped by I told her that my sister is in the hospital. She went onto someone else. When she came back I was trying to get off the phone with the hospital. OMG, I've been waiting an f'ing hour to get seen, and 2 minutes is going to ruin your entire day? Emily, you can shove it!!!! My sister is in critical care, the attitude is completely uneccessary. I wasn't very impressed by Schenectady Orthopedic. Honestly it was a pretty annoying experience…read more There are several doctors who work out of this office and it is, admittedly, quite busy. But just because you're busy doesn't mean you can't at least put forth the effort to make it look like your patients are actually people. From the receptionists to the secretaries to the doctor, nobody seemed to really care much about anything. I needed a written copy of the doctor's observations and opinions, which is a fairly common request for a doctor. With these guys, it was apparently a huge production. The doctor's secretary was the one who had to type it up, and she was just about impossible to contact. None of the other secretaries or staff were willing to deal with it or try to get things rolling, and in the end it ended up taking several months to get this letter which turned out to not even be what I needed from them. I obviously can't say this is how they always are because this debacle was my one and only experience with them, but based on this whole disaster I would not be willing to return in the future.
