Update 4/23/26 Dr Bohan and his staff are so friendly. They keep up with our crazy adventures. Bev and I got shots in the knee. I always walk pain free for a couple of weeks and that makes my quality of life better. I only wished they could be given more frequently. My only reaction is a red face from the steroids. I had two teeth pulled at the dentists see the teeth that are not there . My wild hair is not from the shots Either. That was from chemo. Dr Bohan is the best. We always check in to see how he is doing too. He needs to be healthy to take care of us. If you need a knee doctor. Call for Dr Bohan. The shots don't hurt if you relax. Think of the ocean waves. Tell them Bev and Willie sent you. Dr Bohan is fantastic. Update: I had an MRI completed and it showed severe Arthritis. I'm thinking Arty is my new middle name. Dr Bohan explained everything to me using simple words I can comprehend. His kindness goes beyond just the chart and he sees me as a person. I do not feel like a number in a line of other numbers. He treats me with respect and a familiar professional friendliness as I have been his client for over Ten years. His team works so well together. I know I am receiving the best care always. Dr Bohan smile lights up a room when he is telling me good news. He always is interested in the travels and adventures Beverly and I take on. If you are looking for a kind, caring, professional, knowledgeable, Orthopedic Doctor... you found him. Tell him Willie and Bev sent you. Dr Bohan is the most caring and compassionate doctor. He really cares about his patients. The staff there follow his lead in kindness. The teamwork there is like a choreographed dance. I tripped at home and my knee and lower leg were injured. I was in the ER last night and they instructed me to follow up with an orthopedic physician. I am already an established patient with Dr. Bohan so I called to see him. They were able to see me quickly. The nurse took me for an X-ray and then to an examination room. I did not have to wait long. Dr Bohan listened carefully to me. I explained my fall in detail and exactly where I hurt on my knee. He carefully examined my knee and lower leg. We discussed various options for follow up care. Everything was explained to me in a way I could understand it. Dr Bohan's knowledge and experience is the best. Don't take my word for it. Ask for him when seeking a fabulous orthopedic knee doctor. I went to Dr Cook back in 2018 and 19 and he did my back surgery he sent me to a doctor matherin that was supposed to do an epidural injection he did not do in the epidural injection he gave me two shots on each side of my kidneys which put me in a tremendous amount of pain I'm trying to take care of this and the little nurse lady wants to be a smart-ass these stupid asses fuck you up and then they don't want to help you this stupid ass doctor matherin and gave me a shot that was not an epidural and now I have been through hell for the last week and a half do you think they care no Dr Cook I appreciate everything he did but the people that's around him they suck I will get a lawyer and I will be in contact because that is medical malpractice what that doctor has done to me read more

What amazing doctors and nurses. I could not have asked for a better doctor and for one more knowledgeable than Dr. Ramsey. My nurses were also incredible. They helped me through every step of the way in recovery when I would ask any question. Hopefully I do not have to go back for a surgery, but if I ever do, it will be with them. read more

BEWARE of Dr. Ryan Mathern!!!! I have been a patient at OrthoSC for well over 15 years. I was Dr. Parkers very first patient the very first day he started working with OrthoSC. Dr. Parker watched my daughter grow up, would always refer to her as "his baby" asking how she was doing and always wanting updates. He was truly not only a phenomenal dr, he was also a loving human being who treated everyone with such kindness, led by his heart and god. I was devastated when he said he was retiring. I am also a patient of Dr. Bohan, who is also amazing!! I had a knee issue that went on for over 3 years because the way I injured it was very unusual, and we tried everything other than surgery to fix it. We finally decided to do surgery, and to say Dr. Bohan was shocked at the outcome and what he found would be an understatement lol. He worried surgery would make my knee worse, but it ended up being the best thing we did and during my post op appointment he couldn't say anything except "amazing!" over and over in just disbelief. And Dr. Putman was also a dr of mine, again, due to injuring my wrist and needing surgery. Unfortunately I have not had the surgery as of yet due to having to work and this being my dominant arm.. I've also seen Tim for years, absolutely love him and his humor and accent! My mother loves Tim, of course Dr. Parker, and some of the other staff. I've never once had any issues there before Dr. Ryan Mathern. So it's safe to say I've been a long term patient at this office forever. Most of the original ladies who take the calls know me, my daughter and my mother well from me going there all these years. For Dr. Parkers appointments I went every single month. I've also had countless other medical issues including ovarian cancer in my early 20's, a rare form. Blood clots in both lungs at an insanely young age. I've always been abnormally thin but my entire body is full of arthritis. Endometriosis, thyroid, etc.... I currently have a lot of drs that are specialists, I see a lot of drs at MUSC and all over. I have never in my entire life experienced a dr like Ryan Mathern. This guy is a walking liability for any office who hires him. If you are a patient of Dr. Mathern or plan to become one, MAKE SURE YOU RECORD EVERY SINGLE CONVERSATION YOU HAVE WITH HIM AND RECORD PHONE CONVERSATIONS WHEN YOU CALL THE OFFICE. This dr will lie to cover himself, I have never ever seen any medical professional lie to the extent that this dr lies. It is truly scary! I tried contacting the office to let them know, they say their calls are recorded and going back to listen to my calls to that office, plus my insurance company calling them, plus the local pharmacist, would show how much he lies just about that stuff.. According to Ryan Mathern the insurance company, the pharmacist and myself are all telling lies. Everyone is telling lies except him. I also found out today that he is telling other drs and offices that I have countless missed appointments, I have never missed one appointment and have a recording of him admitting I never missed one appointment. In my recording he tried to claim I missed an appointment when I was sick, which again play your phone recordings back and you'll see he did not let me cancel and I came in that same day I called. What he is referring to is one of my monthly appointments was not put into the system, which daphne called and told me about it, again, that would be on their own recordings. So, I had to quickly get my monthly visit scheduled since it wasn't on the books for some reason, so instead of being seen on the 4th week I ended up being seen on the 5th week that month. I have tried writing this review several times and going into as much detail as possible but it's apparently too long and cuts me off. Besides recording your conversations with him, check what he's charging your insurance. I consistently get charged $115 out of pocket every single month and there were codes he put in for stuff he never did. Not even specialists at MUSC charge me that much in copays. Also, the urine screens are another cost. According to him himself (have him recorded saying it) he legally has to do 4 per year but he does far more than 4 per year. It's fine, I have never had an issue but if you want to do more than maybe you should cover that expense as the dr. But considering he is now claiming to other drs and offices that I have documented countless missed appointments, it's time to speak to my insurance company and an attorney because this sounds like insurance fraud since I have been billed every single month for appointments I supposedly never went to, according to Ryan Mathern himself. He also has a 5 star review because I noticed he will only send the review requests out if he feels he'll get a 5 star review from you. My father went here for rotator cuff surgery. They did not try on the surgery and he is left with a shoulder that does not work properly. This place is run by a bunch of corporate snakes who only see you for your money. I would recommend staying in whatever condition you might be in right now over this place. Rosenberg set me on an expensive NON effective routine of 6 shots given at his office costing $165 each. for one and a half years. My pain got WORSE so he wanted to repeat the same treatment which was INSANITY! Neurosurgeon Dr. Giddens at GRAND STRAND saw I needed surgery and corrected ALL my PAIN within weeks. Rosenberg runs a $ making shot giving scam and doesn't care about your pain. Go to a real Doctor, a Neuro-surgeon. read more

I went to OrthoSC in Murrell's Inlet, S.C. for a broken arm. The Dr. told me to go ahead and use my arm that it would heal. In eight months it had not healed. It hurt very badly and I was given nothing for pain. I was told surgery was the only thing to do. Went to 2 other places and the 2nd Dr. told me about the Bone Stimulator. Now, I am a piano teacher of 47 years, and a good one, too. My students get scholarships. If my arm had been stabalized, it would have healed in a few weeks. I ordered the Bone Stimulator. Used it for 8 months, 30 minutes a day and my arm healed beautifully. I never went back to OrthSC and never will again. They dont have time for me,im in and out quickly, but i feel nothing gets done,quick to give shots but doesnt help,when i try to book an appointment, the cant get me in,didnt go over xrays and mri s at all with me ,im in pain everyday, no one cares there. read more

Beware facility fees. The literature they give you says they will tell you if they are going to charge one, but that didn't happen. I had to call and talk to several people to find out I would have to pay a substantial one. It took two calls and three emails to get my procedure cancelled. read more

I was impressed with the physicians work but the office staff including the PAs has much to be desired. They do not mind making you wait to see them (my different appointments had waits from 20 minutes to over one hour) but if you are late to your appointment they refuse to see you. read more
