Went in for an MRI scan on my jaw, after several phone calls to book and then rearrange the appointment ( at their behest not mine). They emailed me appointment details and an extensive questionnaire. At no point did anyone ask me either on the phone or via the questionnaire if I was claustrophobic!! The MRI scanner they have at their Wimpole Street clinic is the old fashion type very narrow long tube. I tried a couple of times but no way could I tolerate being in there. It is nothing like the modern wide bore short scanners the NHS use (I googled it !). It is also nothing like the glossy MRI scanner image that comes up in their photos next to the picture of Lister House. So much for private health care. When I challenged the staff about why there was no information about the type of MRI scanner they use or that this can be an issue for anyone claustrophobic they were very sheepish. My conclusion is they are just trying to make money from out of date technology. Not recommended. read more

I've been here for X-rays on about 6 occasions and each time I've been seen on time, the radiologists have been very pleasant and professional and I've not had to wait more than about 3 minutes for the DVD although they are also available pretty much immediately to the consultant. The best part though are the low prices - £80 for 2 spinal X-rays whereas at the London Bridge the same X-rays would cost £210! MRIs and CTs are also considerably cheaper than private hospitals. If you don't want to be ripped off by inflated prices I would highly recommend the London Imaging Centre. read more

An excellent imaging centre. At the city centre, very close to the tube stations (Bond Street and Oxford Street). Friendly receptionist and staff. Very relaxing room temperatures in the reception hall and in the imaging (MRI) room. Lift is available between the ground (entrance) floor and examination floor. Toilets are very clean. Customers have their CDs of examination while leaving the centre; the report is sent to the referring doctor within one or two days. For me, it was a pleasant experience. As a practitioner I'd highly recommend the London Imaging Centre. It was incredibly smooth and easy to get my patient booked in for a scan, results were with my very quickly and I was able to access the report and images online. Overall I was incredibly happy with the whole process as was my patient. read more
