After a seven hour drive from California to Zion my friends and I were very tired and hungry and we found this place on Yelp. So glad that we did because everything was excellent. It was freezing outside (30 degrees to a SoCal native is unheard of) and the inside seating was full, but we were seated outside under some heaters and it was fine. The waitstaff, hosts, bussers and runners were all very friendly and attentive. The food was very tasty. We ordered the waffles and Huevos rancheros and they were so goooood. Specifically the Heuvos Rancheros. If I am ever back in Zion again I will absolutely be coming back to this place again, and I would also recommend this place to anyone else who will be in the area. read more

Terrible service! We arrived at the restaurant about 2:00pm, October 30 after finishing a hike. The restaurant wasnt busy and we were immediately seated and given menus by a tall brunette lady. From that point, no service!! After reviewing the menu for about 10 minutes, we waited. There was no line to get in and as mentioned, they were not busy. There were a couple tables needing bussing and that seemed to be the focus rather than taking our order. We could have used a glass of water after the hike but no one approached our table. Anyway, we waited maybe another 10 minutes and finally gave up and left to find another restaurant for our late lunch. read more

This is one of our favorite places to eat when we visit Zion. The staff is always so friendly and if there is a line for a table, they try their best to get you seated quickly. The food is amazing. Breakfast? WOW the waffle combo is delicious, the sugar coating makes the waffles crisp and delicious. Honestly any item is great, we have tried a lot. The enchiladas with a green sauce are yum. The quesadillas are huge and filled with great ingredients. The salmon was amazing. We definitely recommend this place, reasonably priced for food you will want to try. Oscar's is awesome in every way. It has great service, great food, large portions. We had breakfast and lunch here and loved both. Even scrambled eggs are super yummy. Bacon is great. Salads are huge and fresh. Hubby loved his carrot cake. The only caution I'd have is for gluten - sensitive folks, like myself: make sure to confirm that an item is gluten free and don't assume. Service was slow to start then picked up. The restaurant has a decent parking situation which is a big plus in this town. The menu was a mix of burgers, sandwiches, Mexican, and then a few specials. The best thing they have going for them is 32 Oz draft beers for $12. I had the shrimp tacos which were absolutely decked out and the shrimp were grilled just right with a nice bight and the proper amount of char. It seems to be their deal to have you not leave hungry. I sat on the patio on a 100 degree day which was fine because of their water spray system the kept me cool. They only have one unisex bathroom on the property, but more across the street which seemed odd. Not the best place to take a hot deuce on short notice. Like most restaurants in Zion, they do a decent job of letting you take in the outdoor scenery, coupled with a menu that's, well, tourist-American-Southwestern? Which is to say a mix of American and Mexican food, burgers and burritos and salads, nothing too crazy or innovative. Veggie burger was solid enough, the wet burrito (carnitas, I think it was) was certainly adequate if a little plain, and friends who all got sweet potato fries didn't seem terribly impressed. But hell this is a tourist trap, so take what you can get. read more

Likely my favorite place to eat in Zion. Been here many times and today did not disappoint. Had the chicken burrito and my wife had the chicken enchiladas. Both of these were just so awesomely good! I think I enjoyed my wife's chicken enchiladas more than my burrito because it comes with corn tortillas, which I prefer, fresh guacamole and rice and beans. And no meal is complete here without Kathy's famous carrot cake, which quite possibly is the best carrot cake in the entire world! read more

I checked out a few places on yelp and walked by a few others until deciding Oscars would probably be the most buzzing scene and sure enough! I picked right! Showed up to a packed patio, full of people enjoying dinner. I knew in that moment I'd made the right selection but hadn't even been sat yet. Ordered the Moab Microbrew brown nut beer, it was soooo good! The specials were written as the ribs and mahi mahi fish tacos. I went fish tacos and they were so insane good. I love that they actually have taco serving plates for their tacos. Cute! These babies are stuffed, I mean stuffed. It came with three and one would be plenty, but I ate two and three would just be impossible. Two meals are probably large enough to serve six people here. I was able to try the ribs and the sweet potato fries and both were soooo good! The bbq sauce whatever it is, is incredible! I don't eat a lot of meat but if you do, the ribs are the ticket!!! Although the fish tacos are really just so so good! I'd never actually order a meat dish over the fish tacos but if you are into meat go ribs. I didn't care for the salad that accompanied the meal, although the dressing is really yummy I don't like corn or olives so this was a hard no for me. This may be the go-to spot for this area for me now. I can't imagine even trying another place and I've been to this area on three separate trips and just discovered them. Stopped by for breakfast at Oscar's Cafe 2 days in a row when my love & I recently visited Utah & I must say this cafe is a 5 out of 5 for me. The staff were very friendly and attentive making their rounds through each table checking on all us customers, with beautiful smiles on their warm welcoming faces. The breakfasts we had here were very delicious & to my amazement not only were the prices fair, but the serving you're provided definitely will fill you up (unless you have 2 stomachs then order twice haha :p ) & have you ready to hike the day away. I'd definitely stop by again if the good Lord allows us the opportunity to visit this way again in the future. Overall on our 2x we visited we were very pleased. The food was great, but the service, & warm welcoming way we were treated with by the staff sure made us feel at home. Great place to stop by after a good hike. Interesting little cafe. Most of the seats are outside, but don't worry they have heat blasting from above your seat so you should be slightly cold in the winter but toasty. I chose to sit indoors. There's two menus to choose from once seated. Looking it over, the difference is one was pricer than the other. My brother had a 5 dollar burger which came with fries while my dad had ribs with sweet potato fries which was 30 dollars. Both were good! The portions were on the larger side but I'm not complaining. I ordered chicken with guacamole on the side which my waiter assured that it was on the side already. Unfortunately when my food came out the guac was on top of the salad. I couldn't eat that since I'm allergic to avocados. Other than that I had a pleasant experience at Oscar's. Also they don't serve breakfast after 11am so get here quick if you want a morning bite! read more
