By the way, I read reviews for both clinics and as a result, chose the Viverant Chanhassen instead of this clinic for my main bloc of 24 appointments. Now I see why TCO Eden Prairie has a low rating. After I gave this receptionist my name and explained what type of appointment I needed and which date I wanted, she rudely asked what kind of appointment I wanted, as if I had said nothing! When I again told her, she said in an accusatory tone" You already HAVE appointments!" I said no, not for the requested date. She then said coldly that she had nothing available for the fill-in date I wanted. Contrast this with the other place ( Viverant) where the receptionist was as nice and friendly as could be, wishing me a great day. Boy am I glad I scheduled the other regular appointments with Viverant instead of this place! Even if the therapy is good I wouldn't go to a place with a receptionist who is a B.

I was seen by two different doctors, on two separate occasions, at the Eden Prairie location. On a Tuesday, I went in with knee pain. I had x-rays taken and a doctor examined my knee. Long story short, he told me to work my knee since my X-rays looked fine. Two days later, I heard a snap/pop in my knee while "working it" I was seen by the second doctor, who ordered an MRI through CDI , I also received a cortisone shot. I was given the shot without being asked about high blood pressure or other medical conditions. My blood pressure went through the roof over the weekend. In addition, my MRI appointment was cancelled because the paperwork from Twin Cities Orthropedics was not submitted until a week after my appointment.

I stopped…read moreexercising for a month and it felt better, but then suddenly recurred and got steadily worse -- to the point that I could no longer walk more than a hundred yards. I finally saw an orthopedist, who quickly diagnosed a herniated disc and referred me to a PT that he respected. That PT did all the usual visual assessments and thought that it was just a bulging disc, giving me a series of extremely painful exercises that I couldn't get complete. He assured me it was just "my body trying to protect itself", but after four days I decided to seek another opinion. I was familiar with Orthology through several channels, and found a woman in the Eden Prairie office with numerous degrees after her name and a background that seemed in line with my issues. My first PT session was much more hands-on and included some (very painful) massage therapy that seemed to help (my body was so out-of-whack that all sorts of muscles were spasming). I was given a series of stretching and strengthening exercises, along with specific posture recommendations -- some of which were directly opposite what the first PT prescribed. In addition, my PT (Shawn) diagnosed me with spinal stenosis, which I was able to confirm after my own on-line research based on my symptoms. Over the next 12 visits over the course of 6 weeks, my symptoms started to subside and the focus turned from massage to stretching and intense core work. I am now pain-free, but I need to always be conscious of my posture and keep up with my core work. Scheduling was easy and straightforward, with text reminders of upcoming appointments. Payment was very easy (Medicare in this case), and the facility is modern and clean. I'm sure I'll be coming back to address some future issue as my body ages!

I made an appointment with Dr. Eric Koch at Orthology and was able to get in the next day. The office was very clean and they were of course taking proper COVID precautions. Dr. Koch was very friendly and professional, asked me in-depth questions about the pain I was having and massaged out the spots that were causing discomfort. He came up with a personalized recovery plan for me and walked me through several different stretches and movements that would help the healing. The next day I was pretty sore in the areas he had worked on, but two days later my pain was almost 90% gone! I was amazed - after being in pain every time I took a deep breath for almost three weeks, I had gone half the day before I even remembered that I had been injured. No wonder why a large number of professional athletes such as Adrian Peterson, Larry Fitzgerald and many more are treated at this clinic. For 5 years I had an extreme case of Plantar Fasciitis on both feet which got to the point where I could barely walk. I tried it all Night Splints, Casting, rolling a soup can, stretching etc. and all the medical doctors wanted to surgically cut my Plantar Fascia to relive my condition. Month after month I went to numerous doctors including the prestigious Mayo Clinic and none of them had any clue on how to cure my condition. The mainstream medical community doesn't have a clue on how to cure this medical condition and in my opinion should not be allowed to treat patients for this.
