I came here for my first park run ever and the hills kicked my butt. Fond memories and good times ha. One downside is the lack of adequate lighting in the evening and the potheads that hang around this single shed near the fenced field (random I know). I know they're minding their own business but it gives the place an uneasy vibe when you have people lurking in the shadows at night.

I was given a warm welcome and the class size of 11 people of a mix of ages and abilities meant I was not overwhelmed or self-conscious at my complete lack of flexibility! I think it represents great value at £12 for 90 minutes and a discounted rate is available for booking a number of classes in advance. Online booking and cancellation make the whole thing a breeze and the instructor was very patient, offering clear advice on how to improve. All in all, a very positive first yoga experience for me and I can happily recommend the North London Yoga Centre.

I worked out weekly with her for the last 5 months. She is very experienced and well qualified, she made adaptations as needed throughout and motivated me with her positive spirit. I increased my sessions from 2 hours per week to four hours as it was so much fun with her and I could see in a very short time the great results. The workouts varied between strength, cardio and flexibility and I never get bored as there was always a challenge. Her influence has spread way beyond the weekly workouts. She has helped me to prioritize my health goals, incorporate physical activity into my everyday life and helped me to improve my diet. Not only I lost weight, I am stronger and improved my flexibility as a result of her whole-person approach to health and well-being. It was a pleasure to work with her.

I found RINGTONE, a boutique boxing a fitness gym, walking down Drummond St. and was willing to try something new. I went to their 19:00 mixed class and loved it! The place had a great atmosphere, buzzing with positive vibes. I met Ben and Scott (owners/trainers) and were extremely welcoming and patient with my inexperience. The two lads have a great personality. Training with gloves on is different in that your learning rather than just running on a treadmill. I enjoyed that it challenged me to engage my brain as well as my body. Had a great feeling of acomplishment after the 1 hour class and will be back tomorrow. Cheers, "Will the Thrill"

I have been to the girls class on wednesdays a couple of times, they also have a mix class on mon and wed that seam a bit harder and more advanced.. Will have to go soon :)) Its not like the wimpy boxercises that they have In the gyms this is propper boxing tips and you will learn how to punch, and tweek your teknick as you go.. No two times i have been there we have done the same so you will never get bored.. Also its an amazing atmosfair that makes you give the little more effort into it so you will get a great workout and feel absolutley exhausted when finished. I have just joined as a member now and will start going even without the classes as i have been propper bitten by the boxing bug, its seriously good exercise and so fun at the same time, dont notice how hard and intensed your working before your so tired you cant possible move or speak :)) love it!! And the 2 guys thats running the place are brilliant and amazingly good at what they do.. So very worth a try!!!! You will be sold within 1 class im sure :))

But if you check out her calendar on her webpage, she also has classes at Virgin Actives, in Kensington, and in Holborn. Anyhow, I am a big Zumba snob. Embarassingly so. And I have also taken dozens of classes in London with different instuctors, and I can safely say Maria is one of my absolute favourites. She is a great dancer, is sexy as hell (which, consequently helps you magically, if not falsely feel like a sexy fabulous dancer as well, even if the accurate description is probably more like 'awkward cat in tutu') and definitely makes you break a sweat. She picks great music, is friendly and encouraging, and conveys (through, um, expression and movement) that she loves her job. Plus, since she is so gorgeous, hers is one of the few Zumba classes I've been to that regularly have straight men involved. You can tell that she has a really dedicated group of 'regulars' who follow her. Too bad its too far away for me.
