Won't bother coming back as a shopper due to the unbelievable laziness off owners who use most of the booths as storage for boxes, junk, shelves and XXL clothing! There are only a couple good vendors left, and the mall feels deserted. As a shopper there, I have experienced allergies due to dust and actual mold on furniture! The lady at reception has made rascist comments which are unacceptable and is curt and rude . Waste of time to go anymore because the owners won't fill the booths with nice objects. No dogs allowed here even though the owners keep their dog there. The lady turned away a girl with a small dog who wanted to browse and said it was too hot to leave dog outside. The owner actually says she hates when kids come in. Been shopping here since 2005 and there is nothing more here. Come well before closing as owners pack up mall and usually close early. read more

This is a nice Antiques Market with probably 25-30 individual dealers. There is a good selection of a variety of things, including vintage clothing, furniture, old jewelry, art, and books. Here are a few key points... 1. Some of the dealers are actually in their booths on weekends, which makes it nice when you have questions or are wanting to make an offer. 2. The business does not face the street, but faces a small private lot on Bank St. I did not see it at first, but it was there. 3. There are more small items here. You will find furniture, but definitely more in the way of books, art, jewelry, etc. I noticed an over abundance of dishes and crystal decanters. 4. They have a staffed information booth at the front which doubles as both shoplifting patrol and actual information source. 5. You can probably breeze through here in 30 minutes. It is not huge, but big enough to make it worth a stop. read more

There are many different vendors inside this market. Here you can find antique watches, fabrics, furniture, books etc.. You have be mindful of certain things just like in any other antique market (ex): the guy who over values his stuff by 4000%, the guy who sells fake modern Tiffany silver jewellery, the guy who invents provenance...you get the idea. Be prepared to spend at least an hour or two in here, there is much to see. It has free parking (in a neighbourhood were parking can be difficult) but there aren't many spaces. When we first arrived in town, my wife and I faced the common dilemma of filling our new apartment with furniture. We started with the big names (IKEA, Leons, etc.) but had our hearts set on something a little more authentic - something with a story behind it. We asked around and were directed to the Ottawa Antique Market. We thought it was a big antique warehouse store, but as soon as we stepped into the doors we realized it was truly a market - a collection of different and diverse vendors all under one roof. Each vendor had a different take on what was antique - we saw everything from real Persian rugs, bowler hats, 70s hi-fi record players, iron farm tools, coins, records, to books and period furniture. The selection was wide but the prices were a little sobering. Mind you, some of the brand new furniture pieces we looked at in the big chain stores were just as expensive. read more

The Antique Market is one of those stores I walk into and it makes me wish I was settling down in Ottawa. There are so many pieces here that I would love to invest in for my home. However, unlike many antique stores, this place is great for the less serious antique shopper too. It's a little out of left field, but this is actually my favourite place to go for used books. The Glebe and Old Ottawa South seem to have a baffling amount of new and used book stores. I honestly don't know how they don't run each other out of business. However, amidst all these over priced shops, the Antique Market contains the cheapest used books with a selection that two vendors have filtered down to some great pieces of fiction and nonfiction, including very old books. Since The Antique Market is divided into diverse sections/tastes/eras with different vendors, there is also a very good chance you'll find a gift for someone that appeals to their unique or quirky taste. Probably the best antique shop in Ottawa, with a diverse selection of items, the Ottawa Antique Market is made of of dozens of different merchants, offering items ranging from true antiques, furniture, rugs, books, toys, lace, paintings and watercolors and other collectibles. Prices can be discounted, as several of the "shop" owners tend to their booths, whereas other booths are managed by the front desk. While there were few empty booths on my recent visit, one can easily spend an hour or more peering into the many cases that contain treasures of yesteryear. Some shops are far more upmarket than others, but this is what makes the Ottawa Antique Market unique - those who enjoy less expensive finds will enjoy most of the merchants while those looking for a $12,000 fireplace fender will have come to the right place. read more

You can find big ticket and little ticket items here and the best-received gifts I gave this Christmas came from here. I go to this store way to often! Its not just a store , but multiple vendors under one roof! I have bought jewelry, a teapot ,a carpet and a 1940's sit down hairdryer.If you ever need something unique this place likely has it. Many of the vendors will take a deposit , and let you borrow things for props if you re a photographer, Very friendly environment great place to spend a Sunday! read more

I can spend hours at this place. It is really a collection of different rooms/booths rented to people who sell antiques. So the pricing depends on that person. But in general, the prices seem to be fair. You can find anything from cheap and cheesy trinckets to large pieces of furniture. Some are very high-end antiques, from well-known makers, and some are just your grandma garage sale stuff! It is very convenient that they have a parking lot as the location is on a busy section of Bank street. read more
