The employee did ask if we needed anything when we first entered the store, but not so much after that. I usually dont mind but I had a question later and I didn't see her. Other than for the kites, I don't see myself coming back. Their clothes aren't really my style and they didn't have much variety.

If I lived closer, I probably would have bought some shoes. My aunt and I spent a bit of time looking around. The service was really friendly. As I am looking at their website, I think it is really cool that they donate a portion of their proceeds to charity. It is definitely a local business I would support if I was in the area.

Rose, the woman working the evening I went, greeted me the second I walked through the door, and then never left my side! Rose answered all of my questions, using both her own experience as a mother and anecdotes from other customers. After asking about my price range and seeing pictures of both girls, Rose began grabbing outfits from all over the place...she even pulled outfits off of displays for me to look at. She did a fantastic job of showing me enough options to explore a variety, but not so much that I became overwhelmed. Once we settled on outfits, she rang me up and walked me to the door. We actually stood there and had a nice conversation...and I commented that I would definitely be back when it was time for more children's clothing. About this time, I realized that I had kept her well past closing time, and promptly apologized. Rose laughed, and told me it was no problem...I had questions, and she was more than happy to take the time to help! I will definitely be going back!

I know EVERYTHING is more expensive, but it looks like they raised their prices on everything including fabric they've had before tariffs and a bad economy kicked in. $14+ for a yard of regular price quilt cotton is really high even for a local quilt shop. I left with nothing and won't be back. Stores wonder why people shop Hobby Lobby and online. This is why. Less expensive even with the cost of shipping.

They have the best selection of Creative Grids rulers I have ever seen in a store! The discount quilt fabric is a huge alcove. I peeked in but it's easy to go overboard. Lots of selections from Moda. Speaking of overboard, when they say they have a boatload of fat quarters it's a literal rowboat of fat quarters! The people here are attentive and very helpful. And they have an excellent selection of blenders as well as panels. Plus some very cute kits. Their prices are on par with most other quilt shops. But that discount fabric makes it a great value. Always stop in this quaint little place when we go to Shipshewana. Jeff is always friendly and always greets us kindly. The wife purchased a little red bird to put on the Christmas tree and Jeff threw in a couple more for free that we did not know about until we got home. What a kind guesture. And they have two cute pups! They are situated on the US 12 Heritage Garage Sale route, which is held annually and is 200 miles long.
