We are a small Lutheran congregation in Springville, NY. We are offiliated with the Wisconsin Ev. Lutheran Synod, WELS, which teaches the Bible in it's full purity. We believe that the Bible is God's inspired word and should never be altered in any way. We share the news that Jesus is our Savior and our way to heaven, the only way. We believe that we don't have to, nor can we, do anything to earn our way there. All he asks is that we believe.

History

Established in 1982.

We started with a group of people who were seeking a church that stood behind what many of us had grown up with. Our current church had strayed and we couldn't accept their new ways. So, we literally set-up shop in the local VFW hall (dance class mirrors and all). In time we were able to purchase property on Waverly St. in Springville and we built a beautiful church building. Unfortunately, by 2020 our membership had waned and we could no longer afford the payments on an addition we had built while we were seeing some encourageing growth. Not knowing what the future held for us, we now had a debt that the shrinking congregation could no longer afford. This forced us to downsize, so we started meeting once a month in the Springville Center for-Arts, 34 N. Buffalo St., in Springville. It is under renovation this summer, so we are currently meeting in the basement of the Art Cafe, 5 E. Main St., Springville. Stay tuned for what happens after the renovations are complete.

Meet the Manager: Karen W.

I am the acting secretary/ organist. I have been with this church since it's inception in 1982. I raised my 2 daughters in the church, both of whom were confirmed and married in the church. Well, one was in the groom's grandmothers gardens, but by the same pastor that confirmed her. My 2 grandsons were baptised here as well. It has been my church home for 40 years now.
