Organic supermarket with the widest vegan range in Notts. They sell (organic) meat, but are otherwise ethical, even avoiding stocking things like Rachel's dairy because they're owned by Nestle. Vegan items in the chiller include Vegusto meats and cheeses, Wheaty, Taifun, Violife, Provamel, plus the usual Redwood/VBites stuff. read more

A well stocked ethically sourced food shop, opposite sainsburys carpark in Beeston. Quite an interesting position aye! They stock organic, and fairtrade produce, there is a lot more here than can be found in most health food shops like Holland and Barrat. They are not strictly vegetarian and stock a nice range of organic/free range meat, as well as fresh veg and the usual meat/dairy/gluten free produce. They also have essential oils and skincare ranges. Some of the prices are a little steep, but you don't mind so much when you know where your food has come from! read more

ive just visited the most fantastic organic, fairtrade and ethical supermarket.it sells everything fresh fruit and veg, organic fresh meatandthe best priced organic pies starting at £2.99 for a family pie. dairy free, gluten free, wheatfree or special diets, this store has a fantastic range of any dietry needs compared to any of the main supermarkets. as well as the food this store has a fantastic range of vitimins, suppliments, beauty products and cleaning products, as well as being one the few stores to do a refill station of ecover and bio d cleaning products (just bring your empty bottle and refill.) the shop had a friendly atmosphere which was no doubt due to the friendlyness of all the staff, all of the staff seemed to be very clued up on all the products within the store and are very good at advising for dietry needs. just descovered that out of this world now has a online store website www.ootw.co.uk which offers all of the products which are found within the store. fantastic news!. read more

Well, what is wrong with me? am I the wrong age? am I too tall? or is it my skin colour? I am a vegan, and had just moved to beeston, so you know I was overjoyed at finding a organic shop. Me and a fellow author visited Out Of This World and and browsed their products, and as I said, I was very happy to see that they stocked many of the products that I used. Before we left we decided to buy a vegan pasty each, because after walking around my new neighbourhood we felt a little hungry and we asked the young man if he would heat it up for us. He happily obliged. He brought it to us but unbeknownst to us he had opened the cellophane wrapping and proceeded to hand it to us so that when we took it, it was upside down and both of our pasties fell to the floor, the older man who had returned while we were waiting for our pasty sat at the cash register glaring at us. We politely asked if we could get a replacement but the man (who we realised was the young mans father) became extremely belligerent, telling us that they don't heat food for customers and we should have known the packet was opened. I agree, common sense should have told us that the package could not go in the microwave unopened, but we were so enchanted by this young man and being happy to have something to eat we did not think to ask and he did not think to forewarn us. The older man continued to be downright rude, making his attitude clear that we were not welcome in his shop. This happened almost two years ago, but it is something I will never forget. I now have to drive to Mansfield road to buy some of the things I need as well as various other shops. I go to sainsburys that is close to his shop, but I will NEVER EVER step foot in there as long as I live, I have even told a few of my friends, some who are public figures and they were disgusted to hear this. OK, my few hundred pounds a month might not mean anything to him, but, word of mouth means plenty when you are dealing with business' I am dead against Monsanto and his attitude makes me think, he could be the type to support them. Why couldn't we be treated like a potentially good customer, we were not in your shop to steal, we had money to buy. He eventually and grudgefully replaced them which took away the joy of eating them. read more

The best shop in Beeston. We shop here every week at least once and sometimes more often. I know all the staff by their first name and when my children leave their toys in the shop they give me a call to say when they find them. Great family store! read more
