I instantly fell in love with a selection of white turquoise pieces such as a large ring and a gorgeous heart shaped pendant that has a slightly hidden silver heart inlay, and a darling silver ring that is two rings, tied together by a Celtic knot. So cute! I told Susan I had been also really wanting a pair of turquoise earrings to go with a necklace that I was wearing in store that day and I pointed to a pair of earrings in a cabinet and explained that the style I wanted matched that item except I really want a greenish turquoise. Right then and there, Susan made a drop down turquoise and Navajo silver beaded earrings and I thought they were adorable but I still really wanted the looped style. She would be closed the next day and we were leaving town as well and she said, "I'll make them by tonight!" I was shocked and elated! Susan handmade the earrings of my dreams and I picked them up by 4:30pm on Saturday and I'm in love! They're what I have been hunting for and I'm so so so happy with them! Susan is so lovely and so talented and her designs are amazing and of fantastic quality! It was my birthday and such an amazing treat to myself! Thank you so much, Susan! There are not many businesses in Salmon, Idaho…read morethat carry Velcro closures that I wanted to purchase, however Krasowski Jewelry had the exact item I needed in stock and better yet, Mrs. Krasowski had the old band off and new band on in minutes, and the price, after searching later, was competitive with most of the Brown Truck dot coms. While this transaction was not a huge dollar amount, they still took the time and care with my $39 watch as if it were the most expensive item in the inventory. I received excellent service that was timely and it allowed me, Mr. Fumblethumbs, to observe someone else to skillfully change out a watchband and those tiny little watch pins. It would have been much nicer to say something like "hi, welcome to our gallery, have you been here before? Is there anything that you are looking for or if there is anything I can help you with let me know." The art here is OK, there are a few artists that have some accomplished talent, notably in scratchboard and a couple watercolorists, but there are many that are not ready to be showing their work. There is some art supply, so if you are in the area painting and run out of something you might find it there. Overall, Salmon is not a destination for art, which is too bad, it is a beautiful area and there are some incredible scenes screaming to be painted!!!
